Our stay here was great. We were here for 5 days and the staff were so kind and friendly. The restaurant accommodated my very strict Vegan , no oil dietary restrictions. The location was excellent. The view from our room was beautiful., the mountains, the river, the wakeboarders. So nice. We enjoyed just sitting on the balcony ànd watching the activities and lovely scenery. We were so close to the train station and everything. We really enjoyed the hotel and the city. It was a great location to take day trips to Zermatt ànd Murren ànd Bern.

The only thing I can say is the lighting in the room wasn’t great. During the day with basically all glass walls/ doors it was fabulous, but at night it was a bit dark. The bathroom was a little unusual with the sinks in the bedroom, but we worked around it because everything else was so nice.

Modern, clean and new rooms. Great location and the car park is very big and modern too. The cleaning staff came every day and made a big effort to make the room as good as new each time. Switzerland around the lakes is very expensive. This hotel was the best value for money on our whole trip. Eating and drinking in the mountain towns and villages is cheaper than around the lakes. The trains are excellent. For good value food buy at the train station mini supermarket.

Switzerland is so very expensive. If driving, buy petrol in France on your way.

Location was very good. 5 mins to shops and train station Hotel very clean

1/ Breakfast choice for hot food was poor Scrambled eggs hard and not replenished quickly enough and the lady in charge of breakfast was not helpful 2/ The room we had was overlooking the weir but the noise from it was so loud it spoilt our time sitting on the balcony. 3/ Lack of room information in English 4/ Only one of the reception staff was helpful. It always amazes me that reception staff have limited local knowledge. 5/ To much furniture in the room made it a bit of an obstacle course The sinks are not in the bathroom but actually in the bedroom which seemed very strange especially when after using the toilet you got go back into the bedroom to wash.

Location was amazing and it had a clear view to the river as well as to the mountains. Location is mere 10 mins walking from Thun train station. The support staff especially the housekeeping and the Maintainance team was amazing. Reception staff was okay.

Asthetics of the room, cleanliness, location of hotel, hospitality of the staff. Since it was spring time (May 27th to June 3rd), it was so helpful as the hotel staff had kept umbrellas for its guests and they used to make sure that the damaged once are replaced almost everyday. Complimentary apples every evening was a sweet & healthy delight.

The triple room was spacious for 3 people; we had comfortable space to move around. There were shelves, bedside tables, and cabinets to store your things. Beds were comfortable. The room was spotless clean and very airy...very relaxing. And the view from our room was breathtaking. It only takes 5-7mins walk away from the train station (15mins with heavy luggages). Staff was kind and helpful. Shops and restaurants are only few steps away.

This is not really a problem but some should consider this... While the bathroom was clean, very pretty, and spacious, it is right in the middle of the room and the shower doesn't have a door so you really don't have enough privacy taking a bath unless the 2 people staying with you are not moving around the room. 😅

We very much enjoyed walking around beautiful Thun; had dinner nearby; ended the evening in the lounge with family; slept wonderfully well. We did not get the breakfast. Took boat ride; spent the day with family; again ended the evening in the lounge before another good night's sleep. Checked out early; explored the castle; attended nearby church; brunch with family; then back to Lucerne.

A full-length mirror near the door would be nice.

This hotel is a five minute stroll down the street from the train station. It is located right on the beautiful river. The staff are friendly and courteous. The food in the restaurant was top notch. The rooms are fantastic. The shower has great water pressure with both handheld and rain shower heads. There was no waiting for the water to warm up. Push the button and whatever temperature you have it set to gushes forth (wish my shower at home did that). The beds and pillows are so wonderful, it was hard to get going in the morning. No ambient noise from neighboring rooms. The best hotel I’ve stayed at in many years!!!

Not one thing.

The location in Thun is ideal. The facility is adequate for a small motel room unfortunately without A/C. Shower is the BEST world wide. Staff were excellent.

Even though advertised with air-conditioning, it doesn’t, and has some other air modifying system which was ineffective in the aseasonal warm weather we experienced in May (20-25max) .This system pumped out hot air , (it was about 28’-30’ in the room but overnight 10 or so outside) giving us some terrible nights sleep until we established it could only be controlled by opening the verandah door, and weekend staff were not familiar enough with it to assist our uncomfortable dilemma, encountering the same problem after moving rooms because the A/C was not working….duh !

Nice hotel located 10 minutes walking distance from train station. Nice view of the river and mountains. Room is nicely decorated, modern and functional, bathroom with shower, and toiletries available. Safe with code, fridge with complimentary mineral water. WiFi is working well, bed is comfortable, plugs on both sides. The restaurant has a special menu on Sunday and it is well worth. Breakfast buffet served from 6:30 am serves nice salty and sweets, good choice and nice presented. Reception staff is nice and professional. Nearby you can have nice walks and several restaurant as well as shops. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

the sink is in the bedroom and not in the bathroom, which didn't totally convince me as a furnishing choice.

The hotel is really nice! The decor, the cleanliness, the location, staff, everything. It is less than 10 minutes from the train station and there is a bus stop in under 5. It is right on the river with a covered bridge nearby. It is also right near the Old Town area and restaurants. There is a nespresso in the room which was a huge hit to get us moving in the am. The room is so clean and new feeling and so clean. The shower… amazing! They also stored our bags for the day too!

The property doesn’t have AC however, while it doesn’t get down to freezing temperatures, we found it to be very comfortable and not an issue at all and it was hot while we were visiting. We kept the room window curtains closed at all times which helped. If you don’t need to sleep in Antarctica, then the “moving air” they call it should be fine.
