We had a spectacular time at the Hotel Al Prato! The hotel is probably the best 3-star hotel (and better than many 4-star hotels) we've stayed at in Italy...and we've stayed at a lot. The location is a beautiful area, just off the incredible Piazza della Valle, and very near the majestic Basilica of Saint Anthony. It's also only a few minutes walking to the main shopping/eating street of Padova which takes you to the university and Piazza delle Erbe in about 10 - 15 minutes. There are lots of restaurants, bars, shops, cafés nearby, as well as a Spar supermarket. The hotel is very clean, our room was quite large (the bathroom was huge) and included a sofa. The staff is extremely friendly and are willing to help with any questions or an evening tea. The breakfast was also quite nice, and had plenty of options for our 4-night stay.

Clean n location

Al Prato is a three star hotel, rooms are simply decorated but everything is super clean and looks recently renovated. The location is convenient. Breakfast is based on "essentials" but for me it had everything I needed.

The key card I was given was cracked and fixed with simple tape, which actually was about to break down in pieces. It was the only thing that didn't look consistent with the good conditions of the rest of the hotel.

Great location. From the little I saw of Padua on my short stay there, I think this was the most scenic area. Very nice grocery store nearby and easy walk to the historic area with lots of good cafes and things to see. Very kind and helpful staff. Clean room. Very decent breakfast. Good shower with good water pressure. I liked that the floor of the room is not carpet. It felt more hygienic. The window has a shutter so it felt private and dark for sleeping. It was easy to reach the hotel using public transit from the main Padua bus/train station. I recommend taking the tram, but there are also buses.

The room is very simple. No kettle for tea/coffee. The bed was not very comfortable and did not have a thick duvet. Did not like the memory foam pillows. The front desk is not staffed 24/7. Heater was noisy.

The location was a great base for exploring Padova, just 4 or 5 stops on the bus from the train station. It was within walking distance of all the main sites (or a short bus ride away). The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with a fantastic selection to choose from. And the staff were all very helpful!

Excellent location on the Prato, easily accessible by car, minutes walk to San Antonio Basilica, 15 minutes to Centro, piazza dei signori. On-site private parking. Room was large with double bed, two generous bedside tables, wardrobe, small desk with chair, the usual TV and WiFi. The bathroom was also large with a window, a sink with decent counter for toiletries, good size single shower, toilet, bidet and towel rail and the door slid into the wall when open. Breakfast room was bright, next to reception with the usual buffet of fresh fruit, yoghurt, some cereals, excellent fresh cakes and pastries. Caffe latte was served as espresso and hot milk in separate jugs! Staff were cheerful, welcoming and always glad to help. This will be our go-to hotel on any future visits to Padova.

A minor issue: the first time we turned into the Prato we missed the turn into the hotel because the hotel was not very visible from the road. We would have appreciated a small sign with an arrow indicating the hotel.

Great location! Easy check in, parking available for Euro 10. Walking distance to down town and great restaurants. breakfast with freshly prepared local dishes! This was the best. You feel that people want to give you a nice experience

I could not figure out how to adjust the room temperature. But it was comfortable anyway

A great little hotel right by the biggest square with private parking behind a locked gate next to the botanical garden. So you are in complete quiet area and just a few steps from the centre. It's a great choice, we will stay here again on our next visit :)

I don't know where to start: everything was really good. the room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was large, clean, tidy and fully equipped with all the amenities, great water pressure in the shower, the breakfast buffet had a large variety of items and a lot of options. The staff is helpful, always smiling and really nice. This hotel might be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, even though it certainly did not seem like it when booking. We got to the hotel from the train station by using the tram, which has a stop about 100 meters away from the hotel. I can only hope that the price doesnt skyrocket or the quality plummet after my review. Cant recommend it enough.

The location was perfect, right next to Prato della Valle. The staff was super nice and the breakfast was very good quality with fresh coffee. We arrived by car and could easily park next to the hotel. Great experience in general. I hope to return next time, thank you!:)
