Lovely, charming, intimate, well appointed historic hotel in beautiful riverside location with a terrace overlooking the Inn River and Mariahilf church and hillsides of Passau. Location was convenient for walking to all the historic sights - fortress, churches, old town, restaurants, shops, etc. and an enjoyable stroll along the Inn river. Short walk to confluence of Danube & Inn rivers and another riverside walkway on opposite side of hotel along the Danube with views of the fortress and river boat cruises. Great terrace with tables & chairs to enjoy breakfast outside, drinks or just read or relax and loungers, sofas, tables & chairs on lower level as well. Well appointed, cozy, nicely decorated rooms, breakfast rooms and sitting areas. Breakfast was delicious and included different egg preparations, 2 varieties yogurt, lox, meats, cheeses, tomatoes, cucumbers, various cereals, breads & rolls, sweets, juices, and more and even included champagne for mimosas. Small cooler in the dining room stocked with drinks - wine, beer, liqueurs, etc for purchase to enjoy on the terrace. Owner Alexandra was welcoming, warm and cheerful, and always went out of her way to help with anything and make our stay as wonderful as possible. And Eva handling Reception was also very friendly and helpful. Our stay here was memorable and I would highly recommend this lovely Passau hotel and look forward to staying here again!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Absolutely classy place. The details are well taken care of regarding umpteen small things including decor and food and to make the stay comfortable for the guests... The breakfast spread was fabulous and the eating tables are plenty. This is very very classy place on the confluence of two/three rivers.. The landlady Alexandra is very warm, friendly and yet professional in a good way... and the staff Severin and Eva are very nice and helpful... I was told that this is the oldest house in Passau and is very beautifully redone giving much attention to details. I loved staying here...

Nothing really. All really fantastic.

This hotel distinguishes itself as the only located directly on the Inn river that is not separated by a street and the noise of traffic. It is a cozy, clean abode with a tiny elevator. Our room (#11) was quite spacious and felt like a one bedroom apartment. The staff are fantastic, competent and friendly. They have a wonderful tradition of a serve yourself after hour honor bar cocktails that allowed us to enjoy beverages, including wines and pre-mixed bottled cocktail drinks on their lovely terrace in a quiet romantic evening as other guests did likewise. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet the next morning. A homemade Apple strudel was phenomenal. Once again, their lovely terrace with a stunning view of the river is a winner and probably is not surpassed by any of the landlocked hotels we saw around town. We were there for one night preparing for a cruise the next day. Some of you may be considering this and I would strongly recommend this quaint boutique property. We have traveled the world, and I would rate this as a best of Passau option.

An enchanting, fairytale Schloss. Absolutely fantastic Hotel!!! Everything about Schloss Ort is amazing. The location is beautiful with stunning views of the river and surrounding area. The entire hotel is very clean and tastefully decorated. The beds and rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace is a dream. The food is delicious and the ambiance is tranquil and serene. But, the best thing about Schloss Ort, and what truly makes it exceptional is the owner and staff. From the moment you walk in, the owner, Alexandra, and her assistant, Eva, make you feel like family coming home. The entire staff at Schloss Ort makes every effort to insure you feel welcome and your stay is a stress free delight. We will only stay at Schloss Ort when we travel to Passau. In fact, we arrange our travel dates depending on when Schloss Ort has availability and we can stay there. Don’t miss the chance to experience Schloss Ort!!!

The accommodation is located in the heart of Passau's historic old town, within walking distance of the Dreiflüsseeck. The windows face the Inn River. The room was nicely decorated and spacious, with a scenic view of the Inn River and the surrounding hills. There was a water kettle and a minibar in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with local specialities and many healthy choices. The coffee was great.

Hotel Schloss was WONDERFUL! The room was huge. Everything about our stay here was incredible! The staff was more than accommodating, they went way out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The food for breakfast was spectacular. The location is absolutely perfect! Having a patio overlooking the Danube River exceeded all my expectations. I want to come back to Passau just stay at this hotel! 5 star, 10 rating overall! Thank you Alexandra!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the river from our lovely Junior Suite. The location of the hotel was quiet and peaceful and convenient to shops, restaurants and museums.

The bathroom in our Junior Suite with River View had not been renovated so was older style with a step in shower. Face washers would have been appreciated for washing our face. We also would have liked tea and coffee making facilities for an early morning cup of tea.

One of the best designed hotel suites we have stayed in. Newly decorated to a high standard, with the comfort of the guest in mind. Spacious bathroom, sitting area and bedroom. Lots of plug points. Fridge and coffee / tea making facilities. Very friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. Lovely view over the Inn river from the terrace.

Too short a stay!

Absolutely Loved It! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the room was spotless and stylish, and the amenities made my stay extra comfortable. I’d happily come back and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch experience!

Whenever you book a “budget room” somehow your expectations are already low. However our stay was excellent! The room was big and spacious. Very chic decor. And the window opened to the beautiful river side, by which the hotel actually stands. The staffs were very friendly and always smiling. Helped us to get a room with a great view as requested. Helped us with an umbrella because it just rained the entire weekend we were there. The breakfast was basic but good enough for €11 per person. I loved everything about the hotel and would certainly keep coming back right here.
