The hotel was clean. The staff were very nice and professional. The location is absolutely perfect! It’s a 2 block walk to Canal and Bourbon Streets. Public transportation; including the street cars will take you to the places you don’t want to walk to. There’s plenty of restaurants and stores in the area; including CVS and Walgreens. The building was quiet and relaxing. The outside noise was not an issue. There is valet parking with in and out privileges for those with vehicles. The building felt safe seeing as though you need your room keycard to access the hotel after 11pm and your keycard is required at all times to access the elevators. The complimentary hot breakfast was also a plus and there’s different things to choose from every day. Housekeeping is every other day, but you can ask the front desk for anything you may need in between. Check in was also easy. We arrived a few hours early and were able to check in early because our room was ready. That was appreciated because we were able to relax and settle in before going back out after an early morning of traveling to New Orleans.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn French Quarter was wonderful! The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. The location was ideal, putting us within walking distance of the vibrant French Quarter, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained.

While our overall experience was excellent, the breakfast selection could have been a bit more varied to cater to different tastes. Parking was a bit pricey, but we understand it’s common for the area. These were minor inconveniences that didn’t significantly impact our stay.

The room was very large, and since we were 3, it was really wonderful. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, and we really appreciated this after our days roaming the city. The bathroom was also large, the shower power was great, the water was instantly warm. Great showers. The hostesses in the cafeteria/breakfast area are wonderful, very helpful. We appreciated meeting them, and their help. The tech replacing dead light bulbs was wonderful too. He did his job well and fast, and also gave us tips on good vegan restaurants. He was a good resources in that area (veganism).

Breakfast options badly lacked fruits. We would have expected fruits among the breakfast options. All the light bulbs died on us at one time or another. A technician came 3 different times in the 6 days we were at the Hampton = way too many times for so few days. We would have expected all light bulbs were checked before we came in. Towel hangers in the bathroom were too few for 3 people. We rented the room for 3 persons. We would have expected a bathroom with enough places to hang the towels for 3 persons.

The staff was very nice! The breakfast was amazing. Normally the free breakfast is blah and you still eat it. This breakfast had me and my husband up before 7 to make sure we got the grits! I really enjoyed this hotel and our trip to Essence Fest. The valet parking was very efficient. The room made us want to stay and enjoy longer than intended.

I didn't like there were no carts when we checked out early, but I understand the hotel staff don't control guest not being courteous and returning the carts after they use them. So make sure not to overpack like me lol.

The team was excellent. I had made reservations at another Hampton Inn and Suites but out GPS sent us to this location. Because we already had all out things out of the car, this was a better location for us, and this was a better hotel - the team worked on cancelling the other hotel and set us up in this hotel. They were awesome, friendly and enjoyed getting to know the staff. The breakfast was wonderful as well - last day they had egg, ham and cheese on bagels - went back for seconds.

Bugs in the pool. They kind of freaked me out.

Convenience, large spacious rooms, microwave, refrigerator, service of the everything….. I’m so appreciative of them texting to check on us…. We only text for towels and I declare they were at our door within 5 mins with them…. About 5 or 6 elevators so no wait time….

Small bathroom & vanity area but still doesn’t take completely away from this location…

Staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating to requests. Hotel was clean and comfortable, met all our needs and very close to the French Quarter. Breakfast was a delight!

Although pet-friendly, there were no nearby spots to take my dog to go potty. Every trip was at least 3 blocks away from the hotel, not including the walk back. Breakfast felt like it needed Beignets ;)

It was very hot during our stay. We were very happy with the performance of the air conditioning and the functioning ice maker machine. Breakfast was also very good with daily new variety. They definitely provided a great start and end to our hot days.

Towards the end the hotel had notified us that there was a boil water advisory for the entire hotel and area. The hotel unfortunately can't really do much about this but it did effect our stay slightly.

It's a superb location, close to everything. The staff were excellent, especially the people at the front desk. I am not a breakfast person, but they had a good selection. We loved our room, spacious and very comfortable. We will be back, we loved NOLA and Hampton Inn
