Excellent customer service on reception and in the restaurant where breakfast was serving.

Rooms not cleaned properly during the stay, food left with trays on a balcony for 2 days

The bedroom, breakfast and pool. All facilities were incredibly clean, rooms were beautiful with lovely views. Pool area very nice and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice

The gym was very small considering the size of the hotel. For a 5* hotel I have to say the customer service was lacking, especially from the breakfast staff. The gentleman on the egg bar was very rude to my partner and also other guests and the waiting staff seemed very dismissive and not very attentive. The front desk staff were brilliant. Food service was also a little slow around the pool area

The beautiful hotel itself is a historical buliding which is kind of a simbol of Portoroz. It is located in the heart of the city, very close to the beach. All staff members are kind. If you stay there in the first part of the week, it is super pleasent, however, if you stay for the weekend too, you will feel it crovded (around the pool area, during breakfast, etc.).

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel but overall we felt that the services of the hotel are overpriced. For instance a small beer at the bar costs EUR 7 (in Slovenia!). Also, the a la carte dinner menu is super expensive. For instance a hamburger costs almost EUR 40, while at a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant lierally next door, you can buy the same very nice meal for EUR 12. It is a side note but the variety of the breakfast selection can also be improved. We stayed for six days, but found the exact same food offers every morning. It is also ridiculous, that you have pay extra EUR 3,85 for eggs benedict.

We had spacious room in the old historical building with large balcony and nice sea view. Comfortable bed and pillows. Spacious bathroom with bathtub and bidet. Coffee machine in the room and bottle of water every day. Excelente tasty breakfast with variety of pastry, fruits and cheese. Parking in front of the hotel or in garage ( valet parking ). Free sunbeds in the beach and free gazebos for guests in the suites. Other guests could pay 75 euro extra for gazebo. Nice historical town Piran is only 10 min drive away. We got better room for good price.

Small swimming pool only with salty water. New hotel building looks a bit shabby from outside. Beach was disappointment for us .

The hotel is really beautiful, perfect location and great service. I need to emphasize the staff, because they made a real difference in our stay. They are all extremely attentive, professionel and kind. The highest quality of service - exactly what you expect from a Kempinski hotel. I also recommend to try to spa facilities, the massage and the facials are amazing and top quality. Both of the restaurants are great, definitely worth to try. All of our special request had been fulfilled, we even got a surprise birthday cake in our room, because we celebrated my moms birthday during our stay. We had a dog also with us and the hotel is super dog friendly, they prepared everything for our arrival. I would come back anytime, hopefully it will happen soon.

The only thing what I did not like : was the coffee at the breakfast.

Spacious and clean room with sea view. The beds are comfortable with a large selection of different pillows. The staff was very helpful, especially the waitress Sladjana. The pool is with salt water where there are always free sunbeds and a sufficient number of towels. Breakfast is very rich.

Although the beach is excellently organized with helpful staff and a sufficient number of sunbeds, the downside is that that part of the sea is not only used by hotel guests (everyone can use it) so there was a huge crowd in the water.

The pool was fabulous and the staff that worked at the pool were excellent with their service. The breakfast was very very good. The hotel beach across the street was very nice and convenient. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The one thing that disappointed us was the cigar smoking in the hotel bar and lounge. We feel it is a very bad decision to allow cigar smoking in the one bar and lounge for the hotel guests. Cigar smoking is a niche activity, while it makes one or two people happy to smoke their cigar for hours on end in one location, the NEGATIVE impact on the rest of the guests is enormous-- it STINKS! We could not bear to be in the lounge or enjoy the live music because there was a cigar smoker on the balcony just outside the lounge door. This should really be changed-- management? Hello?

The property is beautiful, offering old-world charm and all the current amenities of a luxury resort. The service was on point, never missing a chance to meet our needs, from car service to restaurant and local shop recommendations. Our experience exceeded our expectations. We will be back.
