Lovely old manor, spacious and clean. Swimming pool was an added bonus. Very friendly staff at reception and in the dining room for breakfast. One of the breakfast staff was interesting and quite unique; a great approach to the job.

The patio rooms were excellent. Very large and comfortable with access to woodlands. The pool and jacuzzi were very good. The hotel building itself was stunning. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The evening restaurant food was excellent.
We had breakfast one morning. The English breakfast was mean, one egg, one rasher and one sausage and one hash brown. That should be enough for most people but the choice was £17.50 for a hot breakfast and £12.50 for a continental. My wife had scrambled egg on toast and that was also priced at £17.50. For a small fried breakfast and egg on toast it was £35. We only eat there once. It was nice but we weren't surprised to see the restaurant was empty most breakfast times. That's our only gripe. Everything else was perfect.

We had a two night stay at the Trenython Manor Resort and it was excellent! The hotel is beautiful everything from the rooms to the outside grounds. We was greeted by the most friendly and polite reception manger who accommodated to our stay. It was my wedding anniversary and the staff very kindly decorated our bed with rose petals and towel swans they also left us a card snd chocolates. We had dinner at the hotel on your first night and it was really nice as a vegetarian option with a very gesture of free mocktails with our dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Vegetarian breakfast on the first morning was again 10/10! Oh the best to last the SPA!! Fantastic!! They have a booking system 1 hour slots.. we was booked at 5clock and both days we went it was very quote only 3 people. It felt like we had the spa area to ourselves. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Nothing to say it was a prefect stay

Didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. We were in a lodge and the breakfast I made with the groceries I brought was excellent. I had read that the breakfast was overpriced and not worth it. So didn't chance it. Great bubbly champagne and red wine which we brought. Excellent home cooked meals in our rice cooker and on their hob. The check-in lady was excellent. Very good guide to great beaches . That's why you need local people even if it's a chain anonymously owned. We were early but our lodge was ready. Clean comfortable and quiet. Good kitchen facilities most things there except kitchen foil which I forgot. View and outdoor decking area good on the sunny evening out all day exploring area. Was out all day on the rainy day. Didn't bother with swimming or spa or hotel bar not enough time. Although hotel patio looked nice with a lovely view. We chose a lodge because review had complained about wedding noise etc. No wedding or noise but Glad we did because it was great. Tinkle of a little pond. Bathroom s bit dated but great big bath hot water. Lots of towels. Good design of lodge. One itchy one soft sofa blanket. Parking space. Tesco in st Austell. Open studio in Fowey. Met a friend of one of the artists who in answer to what a beautiful how lucky you are - I believe you make your luck.
Door of lodge difficult to open and lock. Ants. But it's in the countryside. They had traps. Ants are good luck. Fire smoke alarm light was too bright for light sensitive people. Unable to switch it off. Looked for airplane travel bag mask next night a little better. Had to ask for toiletries. Come on !!!

I would recommend this hotel for its gardens and its setting, and the magnificent building. Especially stand out features are the standard of the rooms, the cleanliness of the whole hotel, fantastic breakfast and the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Indeed I would like to stay there again in the future,,,, but,,,,
I would never go back to the dining room for Lunch or an Evening Meal. On the 3rd night of our stay, my wife and I were both served with the toughest sirloin steaks I have ever seen. Cooked reasonably well, and as we like our steaks ( not dry and not bloody) but even with sharp steak knives they were difficult to cut,,,, chewing them was impossible. We both gave up having eaten less than half the portions provided. We expressed our dissappointment to the restaurant manager but he only offered his regrest, - he could have offered a refund or better still an alternative menu choice,, but he didn't and as a result, we did not and will not go in either restaurant again.

Cottage was amazing!! So spacious clean and well equipped. Swimming pool facilities and booking system good. Very clean
Limited menu. Would have liked more choice generally and would have expected menu to change daily but apparently it is the same most of the year.? Very restricted!! We only ate there twice for that reason. Its occasion service was awful second occasion they had a matre de and things improved greatly. But still slow service and long waiting time. We ate in restaurant 2nd time but first time was in bar and not good. Not enough vegan/ veg choice for me either!

It’s an old mansion in a lovely location with a nice view of the harbour in the distance. The building is very grand and has good parking and a lovely terrace where you can sit and have tea or drinks, as well as copious common areas. Overall very good value for the price.
Our room had a nice view but there was no lift and no air conditioning and it was very hot in the afternoon sun. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it wasn’t that great for the price. It’s a bit out of the way but fine if you have a car, and beautiful Fowey is just a few ks down the road.

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff and easy relaxing environment. We had been allocated a room on the top floor, there are no lifts so had to climb quite a few sets of stairs, Unfortunately, I had twisted my ankle at my previous destination and found it difficult to climb stairs. The receptionist found us another room on the first floor which had the most beautiful outlook ( although a little more expensive ). They supplied ice for my foot and couldn't have helped more. We had a fabulous evening meal, and watched England in the semi finals of the Euros, at the bar with a few other hotel guests. Very relaxing.
Its quite a way from Fowey and too far and too dangerous to walk on the roads there may have been paths to follow but having injured my foot the day before we chose to drive in. But I imagine if it had been nearer Fowey the price would have been much higher.

Gorgeous building in a beautiful, peaceful location. The superior room with a terrace was really lovely, well designed elegant and comfortable, and very light. The large shower was great, the provision of robes and pool towels was a really nice touch (we didn’t find these till the end, but it was good to know that these are provided). Two small bottles of water in the fridge where appreciated. As the weather was so fabulous when we were there, we really got the benefit of the terrace which was bathed in sun. it wasn’t private but it didn’t matter. The bar staffwere lovely. Unfortunately the restaurant didn’t seem to serve anything we could eat (we’re vegan) so we brought our own food as it’s too far from anywhere to go out for dinner, if you don’t want to drive. We only stayed one night but it was a respite from a really tricky personal situation, which was really appreciated. The free upgrade to a superior room was a real treat. We didn’t use the pool this time, but will do next time.
It was a pity the restaurant didn’t appear to offer any vegan food (none that was labelled) as we would definitely have eaten here had there been any. Instead we had peanuts and wine in the bar and went upstairs to eat our own food which is a loss for the hotel.

the room was clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. nice venue for a wedding.
We had a front bedroom overlooking some trees with loud birds in them disrupting our sleep but it was too warm to keep the window closed, there aren't enough plug sockets in the room so the fan couldn't be used properly and my family paid £70 for four breakfasts consisting of one of everything (1 piece of bacon, 1 egg etc with hardly anything on the plate) for a breakfast on a Friday and when we went for breakfast on a Saturday you helped yourself for the same price which didn't seem fair.
