Very clean room with immaculate linen. Comfy bed. A 2 minute traffic free walk down to the town. We were given a large, family room to the front of the property facing the main route into Fowey and the also the main bus stop. Small, private car park was tucked away. Airy and clean dining room for breakfast with cereal options and yoghurts as well as an excellent Cornish breakfast. Due to chemical and perfume sensitivity we asked for non perfumed cleaning products and were very grateful that room was spotless and fresh,

Traffic noise was an issue through the day and evening, especially in the summer as windows were open all night. Room was up a tight set of stairs so be sure to make sure room is accessible Not the greatest morning coffee sadly but otherwise absolutely no complaints

Breakfast was cooked by the 2 fabulous owners Graham and his lovely wife Gill. I am a pescatarian and was very happily served a lovely veggie full English breakfast and one morning I had salmon and scrambled eggs lashings of toast and lots of coffee all included in the amazing price for this 27yh century beautiful hostelry

I have never had such a wondrous holiday , I came in my own with a badly disabled knee and walking with a cane . Everyone was so helpful and friendly and did d everything they could to make my stay amazing . It’s the best holiday ( apart from when my din was a young child ) I have ever had . The Safe Harbour in Fowey is fantastic and everyone working there makes sure you are royally looked after .

Safe Harbour is a fantastic place to stay and so close to the centre. Gill and Graham were amazing hosts and were so happy to answer questions before we arrived so we knew they would make our stay a good one and they didn't disappoint. Gill is so welcoming and Graham makes a brilliant breakfast. Lovely , clean, comfortable place to stay with fabulous hosts. Thank you both we will definitely be back 🙂👏

Good value for money when comparing it to other accommodation in the area

Breakfast was good however on two occasions we heard staff in the kitchen being rude about customers arriving late for breakfast. I suggest they close the door to the kitchen. On the two occasions this happened it was couples where English was not their first language. Maybe they did not understand that breakfast was only available between 830am and 930am?

Location - proximity to town centre & river Very friendly, helpful staff member Beautiful view from bedroom window I needed to depart too early for breakfast but was provided with a small fridge with yoghurt, juice, cereals and milk

The ensuite bathroom could do with an update but shower etc all working fine - noisy fan and water pipes but to be expected in an older property.

Nice little hotel to explore Fowey from. Great having parking available (and no extra charge for it). Good hearty breakfast, several options available. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Beautiful view over Fowey (from the very small but very functional en-suite bathroom).

The bedroom could benefit from a coat of paint, and the hallway and stairs upto it were a little tired too.

A very pleasant surprise as rooms have clearly been updated since the photos on booking.com were taken. A small room but very comfortable night stay. Had a great night sleep on a comfy mattress and breakfast was good. Staff were also friendly.

Up a slight hill to get to and parking situation can be precarious if encountering other cars going in/coming out but still a plus that it has parking! Steep staircase to reach room, which wasn’t a concern to us but might be to other’s.

Nice and clean, bed comfortable Breakfast very good. Well situated for town. Room 1 had a great view from the window. Bus stop outside the safe harbour. Shuttle bus from main car park down to harbour.

As my companion has walks with a crutch stairs were difficult. But host did give us an advance warning. Car parking is at times difficult. 5, min walk down hill to harbour.

The room was a little tight but had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The view was great, the bed comfortable, it was quiet and clean. We parked in the car park, a bit tight to get into but once in we were lucky enough to park undercover!

The building is old and is like a maze inside! Some of the stairs are very narrow. This is not really a negative as it’s part of the charm, but people less able might like to be aware.

A very authentic experience in this traditional, family run pub/inn/hotel. Fowey is not London or New York so the pace here is a bit slower and all the better for it. It is in a terrific location....a short stroll down to the waterfront with plenty of coming and going around the harbour. My son and I stayed on a Saturday night and the pub band played till about half ten-ish (classic rock, anyone?) but we were holiday giddy so it didn't bother us and the beds are very comfortable so all was good. Breakfast served from about 8.30am and it was a absolutely perfect with a great pot of tea! We would highly recommend staying here. Well done all involved.

This is not a criticism but given the nature of the building I would guess getting around could be a challenge for someone not great on their feet. The stairs are steep and the whole building is on different levels.
