The hotel has an ambience and style. Though hotel rooms, they are big with amenities. Each floo has a laundry room with all facilities to wash your clothes, detergent, pegs etc. There is also a big fridge where every guest can put his own stuff in a box or plastic bag with his mame, all provided. Even the pen!! The hotelalso runsa bistro for breakfast, brunch, lunch but we didn't try. It was closed on the weekend. In the reception area there are coffee ant tea facilities, free for the guests all day long!!! Big sofas and lots of games. Generally a cozy atmosphere. The check in is by distance. Follow all the instructions and everything will go smoothly. Moreover, when you stay in a hotel in the area you get a card to move freely in the buses, etc and have also so.e discounts. It is called tennegau card for visitors
Everything was perfect 👌

I had a truly fantastic stay at the Salt Townhouse! The hotel room was exceptional, featuring a comfortable double bed and a cozy bunk bed. The wooden decor added a warm and inviting atmosphere to the room, making it a delightful place to relax and unwind. The spacious bathroom was a highlight, with a wonderful shower that provided a refreshing experience. The hotel facilities were impeccable, and the attention to detail in the decoration was evident throughout. The beautiful social area on the ground floor was a great place to relax, with several comfortable sofas to sink into. The availability of espresso coffee and complimentary water was a thoughtful touch that added to the overall experience. One unique aspect of the Salt Townhouse is its online-based system. While there is no traditional reception, the online process for check-in and communication worked seamlessly. It was incredibly convenient and efficient, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free stay. Although the hotel is located in Hallen, approximately 30 minutes away from Salzburg, it was absolutely worth it. Hallen itself is a beautiful city, with picturesque landscapes at every corner. Using it as a base to visit Salzburg allowed us to experience the charm of Hallen while still easily exploring the famous attractions of Salzburg. I highly recommend the Salt Townhouse for anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay. From the comfortable and stylish rooms to the convenient online system, it provided an exceptional experience. Thank you for making my stay so wonderful!

Beautiful eco type rebuild of 500 year old building. Great location 5 minutes to busses and trains to Salzburg (20 min away) and elsewhere. . On the rivers edge 2 minutes to grocery. 1 min to ice cream shop! Good restaurantsand cafes around the town square, right out the door. Nice community spaces to gather with our group. Great front desk lady Lydia helped us with so many things! We had cute kitchenette and 2 bedrooms in our unit. Very wist with thick walls.
It was a bit spartan (ie not a luxury space) but perfect for our extended family of 12 in town for a wedding. The hotel has 3 buildings. Most of us were in the main building. One couple was in a secondary building 3 blocks away.

Location, quality to the facilities, modern and new, well maintained, good attention to detail, good customer service, the laundry service which is included in the cost, the common areas are very well maintained and decorated, all the extras in the apartment, good location to many restaurants and supermarkets. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
No parking. Needs better ventilation in bathrooms and kitchen area as there are no windows.

The hotel was recently renovated, both the rooms and the main lounge look very nice. There is also a nice laundry room, with free washing gel.
Some basic items you would expect from a new (and not cheap) hotel: - two sets of keys/chips, like in every normal hotel. You will need the chip in order to get into the main lounge and the living area, and at the same time the room is activated by a key. Another chip would easily sort the problem. - no coffee in the rooms, only tea. There is a cafe downstairs, which doesn't work on weekends. Perhaps not the end of the world, but for 140 euro a night adding coffee sachets would be nice. The same goes for Shampoo..

Everything is just so above wonderful. From very beginning , the hotel staff gave a lot of guidance before we check in which is easy to follow and remindful. We even have a lost luggage from the airline that sent to hotel directly which staff he helped coordinating receiving and placed in our room. First entry to the hotel had a nice ambience with mixture of modern and vintage sense and a soothing perfume smell. We even get an upgrade to family suite room which is super spacious with all the amenities so well prepared. The place is also at the very convenient location of Hallein, you can find inc cream store and 24 hours vending machine next to it. There is also a hotel run breakfast store which serves very delicious bakery and coffees. What I like the most part of the stay is of course the public spacing inside the hotel house which often you find a quiet place for reading , kids fun and warm words to welcome you as your own house. The washing machine room is equipped with all the laundry required items which is totally FREE, which is absolutely generous which I have never seen in my stay around the globe to be fair to say. A must recommend place to stay for everyone and will definitely like to visit Hallein again because of Salt House !😍

The room was in a beautiful location. Easy to find and access and staff were friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I like that the soap was eco friendly and the laundry room was brilliant.
I didn't have a room with a view, but directly opposite my window (about 2 meters away) , there was a building with windows facing mine. This meant that I had to have the curtains closed for the majority of my stay. Some coffee in the room would have been lovely.

Clean. Modern. Quiet. Nice location right in the old Town. Try namaste Indian restaurant while there, some of the best we've had in Europe. Close to gelato as well. Laundry machines available on sight as well as a communal fridge if you have a smaller room. Easy check in and out at any time.
Expected a ski room for gear drying, but maybe people staying up here don't typically ski while on vacation. Parking was off site a few minutes walk away. No in person staff which had its pluses and minuses.

Location in the old city, practical with parking about 500 meters from Hotel for 6€/day or 50 meters away 10€/ day. Access uncomplicated with self-check in. If you want to visit Berchtesgaden or Germany, have to cross a small pass. Newly renovated rooms, simple but stylish. I really liked the clean look.
Due to self check in and no visible staff issues might be only solved via sms or call. In my case I was slightly irritated by noise from the lift in the building. A change of room would be charged 20€ for cleaning which I found unfair. In the end we stayed in the room and it was not too bad.

The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. We had a fan in our room that provided relief from the summer weather. The hotel offers free laundry services which was really helpful. Everything is online and so you don’t even really need to have contact with staff or front desk for check in or check out purposes.
The area It was in is kinda hard to navigate and car parking is a bit away, you have to walk in to the car.
