The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. The view out the window onto the Citadel was lovely and beling on the top floor gave us a great view. The location was superb. Close to the water by a few blocks. Going down to the water was great; coming back, after a day of sightseeing, not so much. I enjoyed being able to have a cup of tea with real milk available in the lobby a nice perk and the breakfast was more than adequate. I wish I had brought gym clothes and a bathing suite for the hot tub.

Although the location was great, coming back up the hill after a day of sightseeing sometimes made me question whether I should have looked for accomodation closer to the water. I hadn't thought about how hilly the city is.

I absolutely loved the location of this hotel! It’s within walking distance of most major attractions, which made exploring the area incredibly convenient. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, and to our delight, the staff accommodated us without any fuss as our room was already ready. The room itself was fantastic—spacious, comfortable, and filled with natural sunlight during the day, making it feel warm and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting!

While our stay was mostly enjoyable, there were a few areas where the hotel could improve. The hotel is popular with group tours, which meant the breakfast room often got quite crowded. To their credit, the staff did open the conference room on two occasions to handle the overflow, which was appreciated. However, the breakfast menu left something to be desired—it was the same set options every day, and by the fourth day, it became a bit monotonous. A little variety in the menu would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience.

For the price of the rooms, it would have been nice to get free bacon with breakfast. Also with the price of the room, it would have been nice to have free parking or lower rate, very expensive. Reservation for 3 adults and had to call for towels and bedding for sofa bed. This should be checked before arrival. Went to sit on rooftop patio and was told because we didn't order anything we would have to leave if someone needed the space, I thought this was rude because I paid for a room just as others. We just wanted to enjoy the view. Ended up just staying 10-15 minutes because it was uncomfortable being watched.

Staff was great. Super friendly and always willing to help with any questions or needs 24/7. Very quiet the entire 6 nights I stayed. I really loved having the bedroom separate from the living room as it just felt like more privacy and extra quiet for sleeping. The shower had the best and mist powerful water pressure I've ever experienced and that's usually hard to find anywhere in Halifax. The breakfast is free and there's a lot of different options available each morning.

The televisions both looked new, and are decent sized flatcreen models, however they are older and not smart TV's. It would have been nice to even be able to cast from mobile to TV for Netflix or other streaming apps. Basic cable only.

The familiarity. We always stay here! We were given excellent advice re evening meals from a very attractive young man in the bar /dining area. Our food was superb! Breakfast too was as good as ever. Thank you.

That hideous "painting" in the lobby - it's on the wall to the left of the entrance. We arrived shortly after the commotion involving a pick-up that had reversed and had shot right into the lobby! We had to haul our stuff in through side doors. No problem, just glad that there were no serious injuries - or worse....!

The staff is very friendly and several people went out of their way to provide assistance. The room was comfortable, though I would flag that there are stairs in some of the rooms that would be difficult to navigate with mobility issues (and also can be a bit dangerous if you forget about them when you get up in the middle of the night). If you're concerned, you should ask about them when booking, as they're not in every room. The hot tub was very clean, as were the common spaces throughout the hotel. Will definitely continue to book at this hotel.

The breakfast was free and offered a wide assortment of options (even had oat milk for those with dairy issues), so was fine for what it cost haha. Just didn't knock my socks off ;)

Location was fantastic as central and not far from the airport bus stop. Suite was a generous size with everything you would need. Very clean. Comfy bed. Toiletries provided included a body lotion which was appreciated. Breakfast was good, with various hot and cold options, the staff were hard working making sure nothing ran out. Reception staff welcoming and helpful. Liked touches such as being able to have a free coffee at coffee station beside reception and also a book exchange. No problems leaving luggage in storage for a later flight.

I found the shower a bit fiddly to deal with in the way to make sure it was the shower and not just the bath tap that was running. The bedside lamp was also a bit fiddly to work.

Very clean, the suite was big and also cozy at the same time with a great view. Very easy to walk everywhere we needed to go during our stay.

We had to turn the heating system off as it was really warm in the room and when we tried to get it to cool, it didn’t seem to work for us. The fan just kept running nonstop. We weren’t there a lot so it wasn’t a deal breaker or anything we needed to make a complaint over. But for people with longer stays it might not be optimal. The bed was super comfortable but I found the pillows too thick and not as soft as I like.

Always a consistently good experience and close to all the amenities one would want to access downtown.

Breakfast options could be more varied and still find it annoying to have to pay for bacon and sausages. When we first started staying here those items were included with the breakfast buffet and also mini quiches which were a big hit. We always end up getting breakfast somewhere else which is annoying when it's included in the price.

Nice central location from the harbor to attractions and shopping. Easily walking distance for most, if you can handle the big hill. The breakfast was very ok, but not great. The hotel and room was very clean, great water pressure in the shower and a fan in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and air condition ran nice and cold.

The breakfast was very ok, but just lacking. The scrambled eggs were always overcooked, no hard boiled eggs available, no sausage or bacon available, not a croissant in sight! The hummus was very good, that and the carrot muffins were the best part, but not enough to be a good meal. The oatmeal was good, but I scraped the bottom of the pot at 0800 all three days. These are very minor things, but if you're counting on the breakfast, it's not hearty.
