Advertised Bar Food, On Arrival Lovely Staff Informed Me Now No Bar Food Available On Evenings Which is A Big Shame As It Would Have Topped Off My Stay To Have Remained in The Clarendon For My Evening Meal. Pleanty Of Places to Eat At Within 200 - 40 yards

Receptionist not fully knowledgable when asking questions regarding breakfast. Not the best front of house experience. No vanity mirror in our room, 1 pillow was extremely lumpy but luckily had 2 per person so didn’t affect my sleep. On Saturday due to an afternoon tea booking cocktails weren’t available when we would have happily bought several per person as they were great value.

A great place. Traditional bed and breakfast. Great comfortable bed. Very clean. Powerful showers and clean bedrooms. Puns nearly that serve great hot food and good value for money and booze.

They need to make clear the door entry at night. The code was provided on a complimentary slip, to which no reference was made. Hence I did not pay any attention. Was lucky that other guess managed to let me back in. Simple to rectify, they just need to emphasise it to the clients and ensure the clients take a picture of the compliment slip só they remember.

Good room “teas made”, spacious bedroom, comfortable bed, ability to open the windows, big towels. Chandeliers! Lovely long and very well stocked bar, flags of nations very nice touch. Location excellent, only a £5 taxi ride from the station on a Sunday and Saturn taxis quick to come. Only a five minute walk from Wetherspoons but other pubs close, friendly night club Blake’s three minutes away.

Bedside lights, lack of! Tatty coat hangers. Difficult to adjust shower flows and temperature because my 84yo Lear old hands couldn’t get a good enough grip on the control knobs once switched on!

Breakfast was excellent, thought £12.50 was around the higher end but what turned up was worth every penny, good quality, well cooked and plenty of it. bed was comfortable although only a small double and room was quiet.

On entering the bedroom was surprised to find two fans considering it was early February but soon realised why as room was very warm, heating was off so only option was to open the window and have the fans on, as I didn’t want outside noise and can’t sleep with fans running had to close and turn off when going to bed and room quickly warmed up again so slept with the quilt off most of the night.

Convenient for location, easy to park the car. Comfy bed, clean and everything we needed.

It was a bit too warm for me & I couldn’t open the window. I would have also liked a window that I could look out of to see what the weather was doing. Room 201 the window is not see through. I am also only 5’2 & I think the person that put up the bathroom mirror must have been 6ft as it was far too high for me, however it didn’t ruin my stay.😊

Excellent location next to the Thames and a short walk into the heritage quarter of the town centre. It is a 10-minute walk to the railway station. Breakfast is full a-la-carte with service -- £12.50 for a full English, less for other options such as eggs Benedict. Coffee charged separately but reasonably priced (£2.50 for a Latte). I had one of the apartments, which is very spacious and comfortable. There is a lift to the first three floors.

The staff were welcoming and we had a good rapport with them. Location was good, close to families/friends, amenities, and train station. The room/bathroom were clean, facilities are good, tea, coffee and milk provided, as well as fridge, iron and ironing board, spacious wardrobe, bed side table and lamps.

Didn't have a good view of the Riverside.

Very impressed with the facilities. Clean, comfortable with fridge microwave iron. The rooms were much better than the interior design of the hotel would suggest. Maybe a little understaffed.Would definitely stay there again.

Understaffed. The reception area was disappointing but the actual bedrooms were well decorated & very clean. Never ate there but so close to town where there were lots of choices for meals

The value for money was exceptional! We had a whole 2 bed/ 2 bathroom apartment and paid less than some small rooms in other hotels. The location was amazingly close to the main town and the apartment felt like a second property! It had high ceilings, was very light and airy and had a nice modern touch without losing some of it's original character. It was amazingly spacious you could swing a cat around in each room (please don't actually do this!). The hotel is right next to the river so we had fantastic views. Amazingly for a summer getaway! We'll definitely be staying here again.

We didn't like that we couldn't stay for longer! Our time was short but fantastic.
