Great choice for breakfast, cereals, juice, yogurt and fresh fruit and wide choice of cooked options too. All well prepared with good ingredients, and good quantity. Proper toast (not cheap sliced bread) to finish with choice of Honey, Marmalade and Jams. Tea in a good tea pot and ground coffee in a cafetiere. Waitress friendly, attentive and efficient. What's not to like!! Complementary fresh milk for use for Tea and Coffee making in rooms as well as individual portions is a great extra. We also had a lovely large room with a large 4 poster bed and a nice big window. Also good sized en suite, well appointed. Great quiet location for a good nights sleep.

The hosts were friendly and welcoming. We were offered warm drinks on arrival and directed to our rooms. Shortly after arrival, our drinks were delivered. The room was spacious, lovely, and clean with everything that we'd need for our stay. The complementary drinks tray in the room was well stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits, hot chocolate, and sugars/substitutes with mints. There were mugs and glasses and a bottle of water to fill the kettle. They even had an honesty fridge in the foyer, with a price list on the door. The fridge also contained extra milk in there incase it was needed. A peaceful night's sleep in a very large and comfortable bed. The breakfast was amazing with lovely, freshly cooked produce. We would absolutely stay here again.

The bathroom was lovely and clean with well stocked shelves of toiletries. It was a little on the small side, but there was enough room to do what we needed to do.

Edendale house is a beautiful bed and breakfast which has been furbished to a very high standard. The owners were very attentive & kindly helped us arrange a taxi for our evening out. Breakfast was fresh & plentiful including fruit/ cereals/ fresh juices/ yogurts as well as options for cooked breakfast. Within 5 minutes walk to the promenade & town centre. A lovely place to stay. Thank you for making us feel so very welcomed.

We received a warm welcome from our host with a cup of tea in the sunny garden. Our well appointed and cosy room had a view over the quiet leafy street. Well located for our visit to RSPB Marshside and only a short walk to the Marine Lake and lovely Hesketh Park. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal at Chez Moi in Lord Street and a beautiful sunset on our walk back. A hearty breakfast the following morning set us up for our onward journey. A great place to stay if you are visiting this area.

Travelling by car, the house was easy to find in a quiet street not far from the town center. The parking facilities were very good and we felt secure leaving our sports car parked infront of the house. The welcome and general experience of the B&B has been first class. We have travelled widely in the UK and have experienced a full range of B&B establishments. My wife and I agree that this visit to Edendale House has to be rated as one of the best. Outstanding! Really friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent location, in short walking distance to promenade, sea front, and Hesketh Park. Place was spotlessly clean, wide variety of choices for breakfast. Quiet location but close enough to public transport for attractions/to travel in and around Southport and surrounding areas.

We loved the decor and the fact that there were many remaining features, it was all very tastefully done. Josie was friendly and welcoming. There was a wonderful choice for breakfast. We wish we could have stayed longer but we were only in the area to visit family. The room was in the attic but had a large comfortable bed and 2 armchairs for us to sit in, so many places even large chains do not accommodate seating for both occupants.

The Breakfast experience was exceptional. It was one of those places that had got it right and some more. A great menu where you help your self to cereals, fruit cocktail, yogurt etc. Fresh coffee and tea brought to you, The cooked breakfast was done to perfection and once again there was choices. toast and jams also. I could go on and on but I think you can see where I am coming from. The bedroom was ensuite , travelling solo a single room is ideal for me and this was no exception.

Breakfast was lovely, with fresh juice, yoghurts and cereals and various cooked options. My room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The owner was friendly and very helpful with suggestions of places to go and see.

The single room had a separate bathroom. The only slight discomfort was that I had to leave my room to access the bathroom.
