My partner and I came to Habour City Inn for One Love 2025 and we were greeted by Bruce. He was awesome and very welcoming. The location was perfect for us, 5min walk from Tauranga Domain, 5min walk from cafe’s, restaurants, bars, the waterfront and the dairy. Our room was very clean on arrival and I was in love with how big the bathroom was! The shower pressure was great! The bathtub was my favourite!!!! It was an awesome stay overall. Our air con didn’t really work, but it didn’t cause us any stress to the stay.

Excellent location for one love concert which was about 2 blocks away and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great room and all the necessities needed during our weekend away. Nice room and comfortable bed and pillows. Sky TV, ironing board/iron, hair dryer, free wifi and a small kitchenette with a mini fridge. Restaurants down the road literally a 2-minute walk. All you need for a weekend away.

Just one night we didn't have our towels replaced so my husband had to call staff after hours. Would have been nice if they had put in a few rolls of toilet paper as we were staying a few nights and topped up the milk daily, probably our fault for not asking, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

We booked our room at the last minute and ended up liking it, and the location on Wharf Street, just a block up from Tauranga’s eat street. Our room was on the ground floor of the two level Motel, and was fairly clean. We did feel the necessity to wash glasses and dishes in the kitchenette before use. It seems previous visitors have been sloppy and inspections are being missed. We were delighted with the size of the room(s). One large bed in the main room, and a second bed room with two singles! The bathroom was also very large. The owner/host Tui is the real superstar of this location. Every question or request was seen to immediately, as well as being very kind and good to talk to. I noticed some nefarious behavior of non-residents parked in the lot after hours, and she showed me the almost completed installation of an electric gate that will stop entry. We stayed in November 2024, so the gate is likely activated by now. This is a very walkable location, and Tauranga is a pretty town to explore.

The location was convenient to all that we needed and we appreciated the extra fresh milk that was happily provided. The room was fresh and clean, the fan worked well and had a timer on it, which we liked. The air-con was efficient also. The cooking, cleaning and rubbish disposal facilities were excellent. The bed was comfortable and the decor pleasant. It was great to have parking easily accessible, at no cost, just outside our door. The staff were most welcoming and very helpful.

The TV was a little tricky to negotiate, until we read the instructions!

Very comfortable, clean motel in a great location...close to restaurants, bars & shops. Very quiet efficient heat pump and nice having the spa bath. I would stay again for business.

The microwave didn't work and I had to revert to the bench top elements which took a very long time to get warm. When I reported the microwave in the morning, they said it would be replaced immediately.

Our hosts were exceptionally accommodating given our circumstances following surgery. The motel is well located for out of town guests needing overnight accommodation near to the Skin Centre or Tauranga Hospital. We appreciate the kind and generous attention we were given.

The room was big, and the inn is in a great location. Beds were super comfortable and sheets clean and crisp. Air-conditioning worked well. Nice kitchen set up, and a spa bath in the bathroom. Shower pressure was great.

Friendly staff who were very accommodating. Close distance to shops and most places.

The room was small for a family of four. Room service was done each day , however there was not enough towels and would have preferred a vacuum of the room.

The owners were super hospitable and friendly. We had a month old baby and they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They also gave us great recommendations of what we could do in the area. Room was very spacious, great location, good shower. They also do a laundry service which was fast, and easy parking.

Location location location. Within 2 blocks of the beach, restaurants, shops etc. Lovely hosts very helpful and friendly. The room was comfy and clean. Free parking was a bonus. We would stay again.

There was nothing really that we didn't like about the place or the owner. It's not the latest or greatest but the owner and location made for a very nice stay.
