Brand new and modern hotel, very comfortable beds!

The prices are quite steep for what is offered. There is no breakfast included and the view of the sea is obstructed. Next time, I would not pay a higher premium for the sea view.

Check in took 3 minutes. We could park directly outside. We could walk to several restaurants within 5 minutes. The room had all the mod cons you need and the TV was new, the bed comfortable and the room was soundproof. We didn't need a mini bar and the coffee/fresh milk was all we needed. Farmers being walking distance was handy and James from reception rang me to say I had left a perfume bottle in the room which I was very grateful for.

At first I thought it would have been nice to have some cookies/choc that we could purchase in the room but in retrospect it was better to be able to dine near the hotel.

This hotel was the best part of my time in Tauranga. The room was very nice, relatively spacious, the bed was comfy (I really loved the bedhead). There was literally a small kitchen in the room, tea and coffee maker, even milk frother were provided. Lighting was perfect, and the view was very nice. Free car park on site with EV charger provided. Absolute value for money, highly recommend it.

Having stayed in many places of a similar sort, CitySide was a cut above in terms of design, quality and comfort. Actually designed for the business traveller, my room offered easy access to power, it was modern, with a well fitted out room, comfortable bed, clean/new carpet, a shower that worked with decent shower gels etc. I was very impressed. I wish more places were like yours!

Stepping outside into downtown Tauranga, instantly dodging gangbangers, homeless, wild dogs, and more....

The property looked freshly renovated. Room was a good size, tastefully decorated and very clean. Bed was comfortable. If you want to be close to town location is great. Walking distance to shops and waterfront dining area. Parking in town is scarce so a real bonus being able to walk from accomodation.

Our room was downstairs so windows are directly onto carpark with no outlook or privacy. Also no opening windows for fresh air so we had to sleep with air con on. The TV has volume regulated to a level which is fine for free to air but made Netflix unwatchable as we couldn’t hear it.

I loved the newness of the hotel. Having just opened in September, it boasts 13 rooms. The decor throughout the facilities and in the rooms are luxury and high quality. Lovely touches throughout the suite with the espresso machine and tea facilities. You can tell they have not scrimped on anything. I especially love the light up headboard. Very unique. The location was perfect as it was only a few blocks to all the best restaurants in Tauranga. With a short drive to the beaches in Mt. Maunganui and an assortment of great restaurants! Highly recommend this hotel! Simon , the Manager was a joy to talk with and was there to make your stay memorable.

Lack of cupboard/ drawer space. Would like to see a bistro set outside the ground floor suites so you can enjoy the beautiful NZ summers.

Very central. Stylish room that was super spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great to have onsite parking given it’s in the middle of the city. A small hiccup at the start but the heating in the designated room wasn’t working and it was winter. Phone to the office didn’t connect. Once I notified the manager on duty he quickly sorted the issue and assigned me a new room where he moved my belongings and ensured that the room was warmed for my return. Would definitely stay again!

I am very impressed with the hotel. The location is central, pretty tech savvy, with an app to access the hotel instead of a key card which is also an option, the room lighting has three different options with a one-touch button. Very cosy and love the fact that the lighting is warm and not bright white lights. lots of options for teas & coffees in your room. Iron board & hair dryer is also available. We took a queen suite. Don't be fooled when it says its a separate bedroom & separate living. It isn't. But that did not lessen our experience in any way. I loved the fact that we had direct access to the car park from the back door, to lug in our baggage in & out. Did not have to walk through the reception each time. All in all loved our stay here.

There was nothing not to like.

The room was compact but beautiful and well appointed with a smart layout and everything you could need. The bed was EXCEPTIONAL. First time I've slept through the night since I can't even remember when. Off street parking was great, and handy location. Would definitely stay here again.

Only downside was the demolition happening right next door, shook the whole room from about 8am both days. On the upside, looks like the demo is almost done and it was during the day only. Plus the sound proofing in the room was excellent so minimized the impact.

I booked this the day before arriving, for one night. Simon was very accommodating to our needs as we needed a late check-in - check out! The rooms felt and were super clean, as well as stylish and comfortable. The location was perfect for TGA shopping, restaurants bars + more. I 100% recommend this place for anyone wanting a nice quick comfortable getaway.
