The hotel is located about a 15-minute walk from the city center, but the walk itself is pleasant, and the city is beautiful. The locals are friendly, which made the distance no issue for us. It’s a great option for families, with convenient parking and easy access to public transportation. Who wouldn’t love a champagne breakfast? The breakfast menu was delightful, and the bar staff were excellent. The hotel is very accommodating for families with children, making our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for everything, Pullman!

The only downside was that the room was very cold in the early morning hours. Even though I turned on the air conditioning, it still felt chilly. If you’re traveling with a child, I’d recommend not placing their crib or bed near the window to avoid the cold draft.

The location is central and has excellent public transportation connections right outside. My room was upgraded, so I had good space, a chair, and a place to work. However, it is the staff that made this stay exceptional. I don't believe I have ever had such overwhelmingly positive service from hotel staff. From the cleaners to the waiters and front desk, every interaction was excellent. They went out of their way to be helpful to everyone. For example, Francisco in the breakfast room memorized our orders and brought our favorites without us asking! We also booked a conference room and held a training event for our clients. The facilities were great and again, the staff could not have been more helpful.

I had a room facing onto the road in front of the hotel. It made the room a bit noisy with the trams and people on the street. However, it didn't stop me sleeping.

Location and service. The staff was very nice in giving information of travel in Basel and helped my wife with attending the opera.

The hotel should know that taxi that was ordered to take me to the airport ripped me off. They dropped my wife at the train station, only slightly off the direct path, and charged me 80 Swiss francs, 25 for the train stop and 55 to the airport. To give you an idea, when I took a metered taxi from the airport it was 47 francs. Additionally, Basel is VERY expensive, 29 francs for breakfast at the hotel, and they would not give me the discounted conference rate.

My room was really lovely, with a view over the rooftops of Basal. The bed was extremely comfy and everything was clean. Staff were really warm and welcoming (reception, bar, breakfast, though one older waiter at dinner, not so much). The location was very close to two tram stops, both of which were on direct lines to the main station. The only thing I would change would be to offer customers a cheaper breakfast option too - perhaps just coffee and pastries - as the buffet was quite expensive. I would definitely stay here again.

Location excellent for visiting the congress centre, where I had to attend a conference. Get get to the old part of town, walking distance about 15 minutes, but trams stops just in front of hotel.

I think the cost of CHF 30 for breakfast is heavy, similar the 'normal' room rates of CHF225. For one day my room rate was about CHF 60 cheaper than on others and on another day CHF 40 cheaper. I don't get it why this has to be and it makes me wonder why the high rate in the first place? The high rate would not be value for money if the same value can be given for the lower rate.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone in this hotel. From the housekeeping staff to the receptionists for being so helpful, professional and cooperative throughout the whole trip. They let us check in earlier and they even proposed a room change due to our noisy "neighbours". Super clean room, with comfortable beds, nice view. The location is very nice also.

It may be a little objective, but the room was really really hot all tha time. Even when we reduced the temperature at the lowest point possible, the room remained very hot and at times not comfortable to sleep. In addition to that the pillows were really uncomfortable. Lastly, on our last night, we've tried to use the kettle, but we eventually didn't use it, because it had a lot of salts and dirt inside. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Everything was absolutely fantastic. The room was not only spacious but also exquisitely decorated. The food exceeded our expectations; we indulged in both breakfast and dinner, thoroughly enjoying every bite. Congratulations to the chef for such delightful culinary creations. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Situated centrally, the hotel is conveniently close to both metro and bus stations, with the added convenience of a supermarket nearby. Our stay at this hotel was truly delightful, ranking among the finest experiences we've had.

We got the room with a balcony. Loved our stay here. Beautiful hotel, great room, super clean and comfortable bed. Helpfull and kinda staff! Good location, close to a supermarket, starbucks and a xmas market.

Only downside is that it was too hot inside the room and the only solution they had was to open the windows. I undertand it is not tge staff fault, I guess the hotel only have central heating and are not able to shut it down in one room.

Everything is very well thought through in the room - a nice working area with a variety of plugs; an accessible shower with good quality, low-waste toiletries; silent air conditioning and „smart“ lights; 100% blackout curtains. The room has everything that is needed. The breakfast was excellent - again, all that is needed. There was a good selection of both warm and cold dishes and a big selection of hot and cold beverages ( takeaway cups for a coffee is a nice touch!). The staff were very polite and friendly. I am definitely staying again upon my return to Basel!

Nothing - everything was perfect!

We had a lovely stay in Pullman Basel Europe. The hotel is located in the new part of Basel with many hip caffees, bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Only 10 min walk you arrive at the bridge leading you to the old Basel. Tram station 1 minute away which connects you to Basel SBB and airport bus transport. Hotel is nice, modern but yet cosy. Rooms were equipped with everything you need on your travel to include slippers, complementary water, coffees and theas. Sustainable packaging was a big plus for me and also smart control on lighting and drapes was a nice touch. We arrived early and they still gave us the room which meant a lot to us. Also baggage drop off is available. Staff is super nice and accommodating. With reservation we received Basel Card which means free public transport from airport and than free public transport in the city. Overall, it was a great experience and staying in this hotel only improved my positive impression on Basel. Would come back. Big thanks to the lady at the front desc.
