Excellent location in a quiet sector of beautiful Maenam beach. The beach and sea were perfectly clean. Good sunbeds and umbrellas are provided by the hotel. The room in the main building was very well equipped and spacious, with a nice terrace. Rooms in the main building can only be reached by stairs (no elevator) and are, depending on the location of the unit, a 5 minutes walk from the beach. One small drawback was the noisy air condition fan.The hotel garden is fabulous, with lots of flora and birds. The breakfast was good too, with a choice of warm and cold dishes. All staff were very friendly and helpful, wishes and queries were dealt with promptly. The area around the hotel is almost is car-free and has several good restaurants. It is highly recommended to rent a motor scooter from one of the several businesses just outside the hotel and drive around the area or tour the island. The hotel is within walking distance from Maenam pier which is directly served from Surat Thani. All in all a very recommendable place to stay.

Nothing.

Located on a beautiful clean beach wth a view out to the islands, a short walk away are plenty of local restaurants although the food at the hotel is more than adequate, breakfast is good. We were upgraded to a pool villa that overlooked the main pool, which is exceptional and the ocean. Also the villa had a space of 98sqm, bed extremely comfortable, it was my partners birthday and the staff delivered a yummy cake and sang happy birthday - a nice touch !!!

We feel the positives outweighed the negatives, unfortunately there are some issues that need addressing. The hotel is very dated, I would imagine it was constructed 20/30 years ago, plus it has been closed for a couple of years and just reopened so there is a major renovation program in place. No hot water, the shower head was blocked and there was not enough water pressure to fill the bath. The gardens could be much better if they only maintained them, mostly dead grass. For the price we paid I feel we received value for money despite the plumbing issues, I would rate this hotel as a 4 star experience that I am sure will improve as their renovation program progresses.

Good location at the nicest part of Maenam beach. Very quiet area, but several restaurants very close by. Great hotel room. Very spacious and comfortable. We loved the beds. The bathroom was also big.

The breakfast was poor for the number of stars. Choice was ok but the quality was bad. We even found mold on a cake one morning.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Although it's a bit older, it is exceptionally clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. My room was spacious and comfortable. The pool and kids club were fantastic, and the beach access was a major highlight. also the cocktails and happy hour is wonderfull

The breakfast could use some improvement, as it wasn't very good or fresh.

The place was great, there is a private entrance to the beach.

The food quality is not the best. They charged us wrongly for some drinks we ordered during their "happy hour", so just check twice when signing the receipts.

Staff all friendly and helpful. Fabulous big room with separate lounge area and outside private pool. Public pool area was nice and spacious with lots of sunbeds, though had to grab early sometimes. Breakfast had many options and there are lots of super places in the village to eat and drink. Village was beautiful, friendly locals and like a step back in time to old Thailand. The views over the beach were stunning however it was a very steep angle to walk along and sea was very rough and washed up a lot of seaweed, bottles and mess on the beach so didn't visit it much. All in all a nice hotel and facilities but did feel a little tired and 'could do better' with a bit of maintenance and love.

Our private pool was ice cold (time of year maybe but also sited in much shade) so we couldn't use it which was a shame. There was a lack of tables at breakfast and a few times we left as nowhere to sit. There was no 'bar' in the evening, the daytime opened up a pool bar but then it closed at dusk which was a shame, nowhere to sit and relax with a drink or meet people so we went into the village. Felt like a lot of attention to detail was needed to make a few things better and it could be a fabulous resort.

Beautiful setting, very tranquil . 5 mins walking distance to the pier for ferries to Koh Tao and Koh Penang. Good choice of local restaurants nearby. Staff were fantastic and the resort is immaculately kept. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Exquisite pool access adjoining rooms. Excellent beach with deep water which allows swimming at high and low tide. Many wonderful and cosy restaurants and bars in the small alley behind the resort.

The room was spacious and comfortable, we had a pool access room and that was lovely to be able to relax by when the main pool was busy. The breakfast was great with a good range of food which was topped up regularly. The staff were great, we had some problems with our room and they sorted them out for us.

The pool access rooms are made of wood and there seems to be a problem in some of them with termites. When we mentioned this we were moved but unfortunately the second room had a problem with air conditioning, the third room was perfect however. The local area is a bit in the middle of nowhere and so you definitely need a car to be able to do things, there's a bar next door on the beach and one restaurant on the other side but that's it for a long way. There is a terrible smell of drains when you enter the hotel and the pools at the front desperately need cleaning. Such a shame because it's the first thing you see and the rest of the hotel is marvellous.

The hotel was on the beach and was set in a large plot with nice gardens. The rooms were very large, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Fisherman's village was the nearest walking street with a good choice of quality restaurants and shops, about 20 mins taxi ride.

The beach wasn't very clean, there was a lot of rubbish and only a small part of it had been cleaned. The breakfast was okay but both coffee machines broke on Christmas day and there was always a queue for coffee, eggs and occasionally seating.
