The secure parking lot with a gate for entry/exit. The grounds were clean and we loved the lobby area with the beautiful patio area. The room smelled clean and the bed was clean.

The room was not as clean overall as we usually see in hotels. There were significant dirty hand marks on the white door around the handle of the bathroom door. The chrome around the door handles, lights, and other areas had a lot on fingerprints and dust and there were multiple areas where it was obvious no one wipes down as there were things we were able to wipe off ourselves with the cloths in the room. It was obvious that the bare minimum is being done when the rooms are cleaned.

Location is good to get to LAX. It is a gated courtyard, so we felt safe. Location is walking distance to the San Franciscan steak house which a total hole in the wall, has been around since the 60's and is FANTASTIC! Old school steakhouse with good prices and big food! Make a reservation if you can. We barely got in.

The moment we walked in the room, the cleaning chemicals were so overwhelming that it was ridiculous! Fragrance does not equal cleanliness! It WAS very clean, but if you are allergic, I do not recommend this hotel. It was nauseating!! They are very short staffed and check in took a while. But, that said, They are so friendly!!

The staff was friendly. It was clean. The water pressure in the shower was amazing.

Continually ran out of coffee. There were a few occasions that the cleaning crew just walked in, knocked 1 time, and barged in. Luckily, I was dressed. I think that the facility could use a pool where they have the patio area. There are tables and chairs to eat out, but the hotel doesn't have breakfast . The use of space could be used for the pool. I would highly suggest having 2 elevators at each side.

Initially our room had an odd smell when we mentioned it to the desk clerk she immediately offered a new room which she let us check first it was perfect - no issues!

Location (close to restaurants and park), cleanliness, friendly staff, amenities (gym, free coffee and water, cozy heated outdoor patio), access to buying late night food), and gated inside.

No cleaning during our stay (of course except when ‘do not disturb’…late night zzz sign was out twice). Only time they came in was when the time we asked to fill almost empty bath soap dispenser. The room desk, bathroom sliding door, and some misc high contact surfaces were a bit sticky. The sliding door also had some smudges, we refrain from touching them. Heater smell like burnt dust when first turned on, but after a couple of times it’s gone, so not too bad. But always good to check all operations and almost empty bittles or supplies.

In general, everything.. staff very kind, they welcomed us with a smile, although the place was small, it was cozy and with a good vibe from the moment we entered. Rooms little small but very clean and smelled really pleasant compared to other hotels we have visited. I really liked that this hotel don’t have carpet since my kids have allergies. I just wish they can have breakfast in the future.

Bluestem Hotel Torrance is a gem! The beautiful environment and thoughtful design make it a relaxing retreat. I loved the cute swan-shaped towels—it’s those little touches that stand out. And the manager is very helpful for every concern I have. The hotel is spotless, offers free parking, and is conveniently located near plenty of great restaurants. Highly recommend for a clean and comfortable stay!

I love how clean the property is. The staff are very polite. The room was beautiful. I have a wonderful stay.

It doesn’t have microwave inside of the room. Must go to lobby to warm food up. Also doesn’t have an elevator that take you straight to the third floor. you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the second floor, to take the elevator to the third floor.

The facility was clean, comfortable and the shower pressure and temperature was perfect. The staff was pleasant I got in late due to a delayed flight they were very accommodating

I wish the room was a little bigger everything was very close together but still comfortable

location is very good. breakfast is not included during our stay. bed is very comfortable and bathroom fixtures of good quality; bedroom and shower area very clean. lobby area very cozy and clean. staff very helpful. And having a gated parking lot for the cars.

more comfortable bigger size pillows would have made the beddings perfect; not being able to control the AC in the room as it looks to be pre set to turn on and off at certain temperatures.
