Dinner and breakfast were unique special and fresh Room was very spacious and preparations of the bed and meals were excellent Great pick up and return to and from hotel. Pajama's and Traditional clothes provided were very comfortable. Private Onsen - excellent Massage chair room - excellent.

Communication using booking could be better and faster in response time. Since we arrived a bit late we could not postpone the dinner and they were taking into account people that did not arrive yet to the place, so we only had 15 minutes in the private Onsen due to the tight schedule. Hostess did not know a word in English which was a bit problematic but authentic.

The staff were incredible. The level of service is the best I've ever experience and we loved our host. She did an amazing job looking after us and explaining the food, almost all of which was new to us. The onsens were also amazing, perfect and most relaxing way to end the day.

Some of the food was challenging to eat for us and sitting on the floor got quite difficult but please understand this is not a criticism of the place. Everything was done to the best standard, we just aren't used to it being from Scotland! We are very glad we had the experience.

Everything about this property was exceptional! I feel like the listing doesn’t do it justice because it’s so beautiful. Our room was huge and gorgeous with the most stunning Mountain View. We tried the 3 private onsens but there are many more public ones on the property too. The lady who served our kaiseki dinner didn’t speak a word of English and she was the sweetest! We did Google translate back and forth and got along perfectly! This was such an authentic and unique experience and my husband and I both said the dinner here was our favorite of our trip! Highly recommend :)

The experience was unforgettable. Traditional Japanese dinner was a very special experience. Loved private onsens. The Lady that was looking after us was so precious, I wish I could take her with us. I am still not sure if she spoke any English but she was AMAZING ! Loved our kimonos.

The property is a little dated but would stay there again.

The guest service is impeccable. Everything is taken care of from the pickup from the train station all the way to the drop off at the bus stop. Dinner and breakfast is always my favorite meal in Japan. The flavors are so unique and presentation is always beautiful. It’s like eating delicious art. The 24 hour onsen is great, so clean. The private onsens really make you feel like your bathing in a natural spring surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Beautiful property with a lovely welcome lobby. You’re ushered into a tea room upon arrival and given as brief intro. Our Japanese style room was very comfortable and our hostess was so sweet and talkative (through Google translate)

The shower room was a little dark and felt dated. There was an in room onsen but it did not look inviting as it appeared old and mildewy

Property was beautiful. It felt extremely intimate and the facilities were easy to find. The room was beautiful and the private bath was incredible. It felt like a truly authentic experience. The dinner and breakfast were so delicious and authentic. The staff was so helpful and accommodating as well!

The common areas are slightly warm in the summer, but this is very minor

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with kindness and hospitality. The property was authentic, set high in the the lush surroundings. Staff were very attentive, the food and presentation was exceptional! A fantastic Zen room with access to the best message chairs.

The Ryokan and onsen were both beautiful. We really enjoyed the natural hot strings, both the public and private baths were great! The two meals we enjoyed were great and the service was wonderful and very friendly.

Lovely accommodation, very large rooms. Staff were very accommodating. Gender split hot springs and mixed and you can book a private hot spring. Set menu so good if you’re open to trying foods.
