The friendliness of the staff. Staying at La Siesta is like being part of a big family. You are made to feel so welcome from beginning to end. We would like to mention in particular Hanh in the Temple restaurant who served us so well; Phuong in the Temple restaurant who was wonderful company; Nguyen in the Red Bean restaurant who looked after us so charmingly. Also Vu at the Infinity bar who was really friendly and encouraged me to speak Vietnamese. Thanks to everyone at La Siesta for an unforgettable experience.

I had never heard of this hotel and really only decided to book it because of the reviews on booking.com and TripAdvisor reviews. I can confirm that these were well-founded reviews — La Siesta is as good, if not even better, than a typical 5 star chain hotel. We stayed at the duplex club wing room, reminiscent of Intercontinental Bali’s duplex rooms, which we all love. The cleanliness standard is marginally lower; the curtains in the room have a bit of a mildew smell, but everything else was amazing. The rooms are spacious and the beds were exceedingly comfortable, superior to the beds at global 5 star hotel chains. But what stood them apart is the service and the food — from the bespoke buffet breakfast (where staff offered to provide you with items that were not part of the menu; the buffet spread for local cuisine is fantastic; kids loved the iced coffee/iced chocolate) to the really reasonably-priced and amazing food at the hotel’s two restaurants (Temple and Red Bean) — we never expected to find such good food at hotels and at such reasonable prices. The food quality is truly stellar, and there is hardly a “hotel premium” price for the food. I hope that that doesn’t change after this review! The spa is possibly the best spa I’ve come across, and I’ve been to many. Their 4 Hands massage is par to none. All the therapists are fantastic — we had a massage everyday. No “cheating” using elbows only, the therapists mainly use their thumbs and hands to give strong pressure massages, so you don’t leave with pain wrongly applied on your bones. A real local gem, I hope that it doesn’t go the way of international global chains for all the reasons mentioned above, which makes them better than global chains. If you want a relaxing, 5 star resort and spa experience that is near ancient town, this will be it.

Don’t let the appearance of their official website deter you. It almost did for me, if not for the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor and booking.com. If you book via booking.com, payment is made via a link sent by the hotel (via booking.com messaging), rather than booking.com itself, which also made me hesitant given the number of scams these days. But it all worked out well, all was legit.

Highlights were a comfortable bed, four swimming pools, the spa, and two quality restaurants. The gym is small but functional as long as there are not many people in there. The staff are excellent, going out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and giving helpful advice on things to do and eat. The resort is a 5-10 minute car ride from Hoi An Old town, which is worth a visit although very touristy. There is a resort shuttle bus 2 or 3 times per day. It is walkable if you can handle the scooters and broken footpaths.

The gym is on the small side. You need transport to get to most local tourist attractions.

Excellent Resort, very good rooms, beautiful gardens and several Pools. Staff excellent. The breakfast is a highlight. 15min walk to the towncenter. Absolute recommandation

What an incredible resort. I was blown away by the hospitality of the staff, the resort amenities, and food options. They offer free bikes to ride into the town as well as some free shuttles into Hoi An. I was very impressed by the size of the room and the cleanliness of the overall facility. I will definitely return!

Nothing to dislike here. Maybe make sure that the children stay in the children's pool, not the adult pool.

This time returning to La Siesta Hoi An Resort was just as magical as always. All the staff remembered my name and again provided the consistently exceptional service. The resort's beautiful surroundings and incredible rooms made me feel instantly relaxed and it honestly just felt like coming back to my own home (only wish my home were half this nice). The spa experience was once again a highlight, super skillful therapists and a chill atmosphere in the garden where the massage rooms are situated. Breakfast spreads were absolutely to die for, so delicious! complimentary bicycle rent was an amazing touch, it really made exploring Hoi An sort of stress free. I have said this many times before and I am going to say it again. I highly recommend La Siesta Hoi An Resort and Spa if you are seeking a truly unforgettable stay in Vietnam.

The location was great - very near downtown but also nice that it was a little away from the hustle. We loved the pools and the easy shuttle to the beach club

The menu dining for vietnamese cuisine at Red Bean was excellent and great value for money. The Temple restaurant was elegant and the swing seating next to the pool was amazing.

Perhaps a little further from Hoi An old town but this was not a deal breaker for us.

The property is beautiful with lush landscaping and 4 different pools (saltwater, infinity, kid pool). The staff were warm and thoughtful. The kids club had toys to occupy the kids. The daily activities were interesting. The breakfast buffet was delicious with great variety. The room was charming and spacious.
