Very clean, freshly painted, spacious, nice art decoration and lots of plants. Good value for money. Most beautiful rooms with great bathrooms. Shaded pool, especially in the warm (rainy) season this was a gift. Fee bikes to beach, great suggestions what to do and best reference for Boi Com restaurant and cooking classes - same owner, but also same high quality and friendly people.

Really nothing. We’ve seen quite a few hotels from other travelers and would not want to change - not for the most expensive and definitely not for the cheapest out of town options.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is in a quieter part of Hoi An, but it is only a short walk or bicycle ride to the busier part of town, or the Old Town. There are lots of great massage parlours nearby, as well as great coffee and food. The staff at this hotel were so lovely and welcoming. Upon arrival, they sat with us to chat about our trip and ask what we planned to do in Hoi An, as well as recommended places to visit, eat, and tours to join. We received a discount card for a local restaurant (which I think may be owned by the hotel) and the food here was amazing. The room is comfortable and spacious. I would recommend this hotel for anybody travelling to Hoi An.

Nothing, we had a great stay and the hotel met all our expectations.

Son Hoi A Boutique Hotel is a beautiful smaller hotel decorated in French Vietnamese style. It is situated in a little side street away from the busy town centre so very quiet to return to after a busy day out. There is a mini mart/laundry etc across the street also with lovely people. The staff are lovely and the breakfast was great & plentiful with mixture of western & Asian foods. The hotel has a restaurant and room service, but we ate at their sister restaurant (Boi Cham) nearby where the food was excellent also. The spa service was similar to outside services, but it was very handy to remain at the hotel for our treatment. We would be very happy to come here again!

The pool water is quite cold as there is no sun over it, but I found it refreshing after returning from a hot day out. (Some hotel pools in Asia have very warm water - almost like a bath which is too hot for the Asian heat).

Location is perfect, a little outside of Old Town which is great as Old Town is packed with people and you can still walk there from the hotel. Down a quiet side street. The pool was lovely, the facilities were great, the breakfast had a good selection, the room was large and beautiful, we loved our bath! We ended up staying an extra night as it was just so nice in Hoi An and at this hotel.

The walls are a bit thin, you can hear the neighbours talking through the walls but everyone was respectful and went to sleep at reasonable hours so it didn't bother us.

In a quieter part of HoiAn, about 10 minutes walk from the old town and shops and restaurants. Lovely, elegant and restful decor throughout. Beautifully planted with bougainvillea and a huge wall of what looked like magnolia. Excellent breakfast, and a super lunch. The staff are wonderful, nothing too much trouble for them. Very good standard of spoken English at reception. The room was huge; the bed comfortable, and we felt instantly at home. We could access Netflix easily for a late night movie. We highly recommend Son Hoi An and would book again without hesitation.

Our only criticisms: not enough storage space for clothes for two people. Wet rooms - you either love them or find them a pain. The lighting level over the sink made shaving and applying makeup a challenge.

Son Hoi An was an incredible value. The decor and room design reflected the culture of Vietnam. The breakfast was substantial with an inviting front porch for dining. The location was an easy walk to the Old Town of Hoi An. Don't go in expecting it to be lux'. It's definitely more funky.

Parts of the property, especially the hallways, felt dark and dated. We had trouble opening the safe without setting off alarm. We also had an issue with the front desk when they forgot to call us a car for drive back to Da Nang to catch our plane. Plus, after we returned home, the hotel called to say they screwed up our bill for the Bike Tour. (It was resolved successfully.)

Very quiet location around a 10 minute slow walk to the old town. They also offer a shuttle service a few times a day to both the old town and A bang beach free of charge. The quality of the food was amazing both room service and the off site restaurant I believe you can also eat in the dining area downstairs but I’m unsure we didn’t do this during our stay. The prices of food is very reasonable for the area and a lot higher quality than some of the restaurants in town. All in all a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

A great choice for Hoi An. 10 minutes walk to old town or less than US$1 in a Grab taxi. We are in a triple room (queen + single) with a pool view. Nice pool. Limited number of sun loungers due to space. Good breakfast included. And really nice affordable room service. Free shuttle to the beach and old town but we didn’t use it. Free bikes to use. Lovely decor. Comfy beds. Little shop across the street for drinks and to do laundry. In terms of accessibility is was better than many but still had a few pain points. The bath took up most of the bathroom and you constantly had to get around it. The front steps curve and there’s no hand rail - there is a wall/ledge you can lean on but they have art leaning on easels going up the stairs which inhibits that option. The pool has a solid metal ladder and steps so it’s manageable but a bit strange as the first step is massive. If you can secure the first lounger you’d be good but the walk room along the edge of the pool to the others is a bit harder. Lift to all floors. The location is down a small road and a 10min walk to the old town with a lot of obstacles on the footpath forcing you to walk on the road so that was a worry until we discovered a Grab taxi will come right to the door and costs less than US$1 to the Old Town. We would stay again as overall this hotel is a great choice for Hoi An

There is a full length mirror in front of the toilet which is quite disconcerting and a massive freestanding bath in the centre of the bathroom you need to navigate around which is annoying although if you like baths it’s deep and there’s a tv in the bathroom. Relatively compact room so not much space for luggage.

Well designed hotel with lush plants. Really makes the most of its plot. Quiet alley but so close to all the action. Good rooms and nice breakfast. Offers free bikes and shuttle service

Pool looks amazing but is quite small. If you get it to yourself happy days but it is difficult to share. Similarly breakfast is good but can get crowded. The hotel is excellent value overall and can’t expand plus its small size gives it lots of charm. Sharing more for awareness rather than a negative

The hotel has nice decor, a great pool are and offers a well balanced breakfast. The location is not super central but a quick taxi ride will get you anywhere.

They didn’t respect their 1+1 happy hour offer and after I ordered my drinks I was surprised with a full charge bill. I pointed out the mistake to them and then they told me the offer only applies if you buy 2 cocktails, or 1 per person. Basically, they forced us to get 4 cocktails instead of 2, even though it’s not what the bartender told me when I asked about the promotion. I felt scammed to be honest, hard to believe they have such practice in a 5 star hotel.
