I had the pleasure of staying at Serene Riverside Hotel, and it truly lives up to its name. Nestled by the river, this place is a peaceful haven that offers the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. From the moment I arrived, I knew I had found somewhere special. The hotel is an idyllic escape, with stunning river views that create an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. The staff were absolutely amazing. They made me feel right at home from the start, always ready to assist with anything I needed, and their genuine warmth made my stay even more memorable. Every interaction felt personal, and it was clear they truly cared about making guests feel comfortable. The breakfasts here are worth mentioning—they were always fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. I originally planned to stay for a week but ended up staying for almost a month because the experience was just that good. It’s the perfect place for digital nomads, offering the quiet atmosphere needed for focus and productivity, while also providing plenty of space to unwind and recharge when needed.

Location was good if you want somewhere slightly quieter with lovely views of the river and don't mind the short walk into the old town. Breakfast was exceptional, you chose 2 drinks and a food option the night before and they made it all fresh when you arrived in the morning. Great selection of food and drinks to choose from! Far better than buffets that most hotels offer! The facilities were great with a lovely pool, gym and snooker table all free to use. The bikes were great to use when going to the beach. Air conditioning worked well and there was a small fridge in the room with the mini bar prices similar to what you could buy in local shops. We also had washing done there which was a quick service.

Short walk to the old town - approx 10-15 mins.

Firstly we had the warmest welcome by the receptionist who gave us an in-depth recommended list of things to do and foods to eat. We pretty much visited most of the places she recommended and they were all a 10/10 experience. If it wasn’t for her recommendations, our experience wouldn’t have been as authentic and exciting as it was. Facilities were great and the stay was very comfortable

Only the big hornet bees were an issue but that was to be expected staying on the riverside. Just be mindful of them flying around. In saying that, we only came across 2 of them - one outside our hotel room and another during breakfast - which was an easy fix as we just adjusted our seating location

Fantastic place. Ms Phuong and her colleagues took great care of us. Guided well for the spa, for local sites to see, for airport pick up, etc. They have a great view and a place to relax.. Away from the hustle of town.. And not so far as well.. Having specific dietary requirements (veg), they allowed the use of the kitchen to prepare our ready to eat meal as well as use the dining area.. Beyond regular hours.. Laundry facilities were quick and the same day.. Rooms had great view.. Will recommend this place for family as well as friends..

Just that our stay was too short..

Lovely quiet hotel on the river with nice views and sunsets. Our room with balcony was great, we did have an issue with the shower but it was fixed promptly. The breakfast was fantastic and pool was a life saver in the heat. Staff were also great and loved how the cleaners surprised us with their towel art :)

Wasn't sure if this hotel had a restaurant/bar but wasn't operational when we stayed which was a shame. It's the perfect spot along the river to sit and eat/drink whilst watching the views and sunset.

The staff and especially Fun and Fab were truly the best. Fab recommended the best places to eat, and Fun helped us with every “problem”, making our stay worth repeating. The hotel is super nice and only a 10min walk to the very very very busy area. The location next to the river meant it was also a perfect place for us to chill during rainy weather.

The only aspect that could be improved was breakfast. Portions were somewhat small and choices limited (having only one drink option/choosing between coffee/tea and juice should be reconsidered).

Definitely serene, very peaceful after the shopping in Hoi An. Great breakfast, comfy beds, free bikes and staff really helpful. Within walking distance of old town, better with bikes though. Enjoyed the pool after the heat of the day. Will do laundry, price only slightly higher per kg than down the road but convenient. Great spot across the road to sit by the river and watch the sun go down while enjoying a drink, BYO

Slight musty smell when first entered our room, air-conditioning fixed it.

Though not as peaceful as I hoped it would be, the location is great if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of central historic Hoi An, but still in walking distance. The location is lovely and the garden offers nice and breezy river views. The hosts gives good information on do's and dont's in Hoi An and has recommendations for food, shops and tours. We especially like her recommendation for Chicken Rice ;) . There are some nice restaurants very close to the hotel, so it's no problem if you don't want to venture into the circus of Hoi An in the evening. The bicycles of the hotel are good for short distances into the city. The pool is sufficient for kids to play a bit and cool off.

The wifi was not always working properly.

The staff was amazing and very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Coordinated scooter rental, tours and directions where to find the best tailor in Hoi An. The tea ceremony was excellent with so much history on the regional tea cultures. Loved the city, beautiful at night, the markets were not overwhelming. Renting a scooter to drive to the beaches and the countryside is key, and traffic was manageable vs bigger cities! Again, the staff was amazing, loved Khuu!!

Plumbing! But the same everywhere!

The location is not that far from the old city. The view was great. Same river from the boat rides. We appreciate the interior and modern exterior. We loved the pool. Nice outdoor space across the street from the hotel. Same property. We recommend the breakfast here esp their Cau Lau that's only available in Hoi An. Phoung was very helpful. She gave us recommendations of places to visit and we enjoyed them. The motorcycle rental was quick and simple. We have to leave very early in the morning, but they accomodated us making sure we get our transportation on time. We love our accomodation experience here. We recommend this place for couples.
