Room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was amazing. Location is superb, a couple of short blocks from the piers with lots of restaurants and attractions. The area felt safe.

The second morning, a HUGE group (~100) were in line for breakfast. It wasn't clear if we had to wait for them or not. We decided to do breakfast elsewhere. Would have been helpful to have a separate line for other hotel guests, or a sign letting us know what to do.

Location was great for first timers to San Fran. Walking distance to local restaurants etc

Breakfast buffet is like feeding time at the zoo. Not sure why there isn’t another overflow room with seats/tables as it’s definitely needed

This hotel is very good. Check in superfast may be because we did pre check in formalaties sent on email earlier. Reception provided two bottles water at check in. Nice !. Vrry spacious lobby and ground area, nice atmosphere and no congesstion. Lifts very fast. Only about 4 floors.The location very convenient to the tram/ cable cars two locations . Pier39 just 15 minutes walk. Safe neighbourhood. Please note after 9 pm its just boaring all shops closed. So if going for dinner better before 9pm. Room very spacious and all placed well in the room.

Most of the hotels offer check in times very late now. Its not fair for customers. Booking. Com should start some kind of regulations to hotels. Check in very late/ check out early. This hotel at least accomodated our requests. The room we got 4619 or somethibg right infront of the buss depot. Its bad as if we open the curtains the depot is just in front. Deposit too much. No food in the hotel after dinner time.

I wish the hot items were hot...I enjoy the eggs and breakfast meats, however whether I went at 630am when they opened or at 930am....the eggs were always cold....meats not warm....great choices....just not hot

Location by Fisherman's Wharf was perfect. Walking distance to everything on the Wharf and all types of Public Transportation. The hotel was great, beautiful and very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, a Las Vegas worthy buffet breakfast with just about anything you could want. Breakfast is crazy buisy but the staff running breakfast is amazing and get you seated quickly and food is always restocked quickly. Beds are super comfortable. Very quiet in our room.

Deluxe King room bathroom was just ok. It was very clean and everything was updated but the tub shower combo was a bit disappointing and the water pressure on the shower and sink was terrible. No great views from the rooms since the hotel is set back from the wharf and only 4 floors.

The RIU Fisherman’s Wharf was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there a few months prior. We had originally booked a 5-star hotel just off Union Square — an area we’d stayed in on our previous two visits to San Francisco. However, given our past positive experiences at a few RIU Palace hotels and our friend’s recommendation, we decided to give it a try. Price-wise, the RIU was around 40% cheaper than our Union Square option, with breakfast included in the rate — a welcome bonus. The hotel is rated as a 4-star, so we expected it to meet our basic requirements, as we mainly needed a convenient base for five days of exploring the city. I had requested a high-floor room with a view. First impressions were that it’s certainly not a ‘palace’, more of a functional city hotel. That said, the foyer area was clean and well maintained, and our room was ready when we arrived — always appreciated after a long flight from the UK. The room was located on the top floor as requested, though the view was nothing remarkable. To be fair, given the hotel’s location, it doesn’t really have rooms that can offer impressive views. The room itself was spacious enough for two people with luggage, although there was a faint musty smell on arrival. This disappeared once the air conditioning was switched on and didn’t return. The bed was large and comfortable, providing good rest after long days sightseeing. The shower was modern with good water pressure. The towels were excellent and some of the best we’ve had in any hotel. The décor was adequate but felt dated in places and would benefit from refurbishment to bring it in line with more contemporary standards. Due to the time difference, we were often wide awake hours before breakfast officially began at 6:30am. The in-room coffee machine was a welcome addition during these early mornings. When the breakfast restaurant did open, there was always a noticeable queue — largely European tourists adjusting to new time zones.

First the staff, they were exceptional friendly, courteous and helpful. I would rate the staff a 10, especially the check in staff. The young man was knowledgeable and helpful. The facilities were again extremely nice a 10, everything was clean from the entrance, hall ways, public restrooms and rooms. The breakfast also a 10 the staff so courteous and accommodating. The food was excellent freshness and tastes were great. The RIU overall experience was amazing I have already recommended the Hotel to relatives and friends. Definitely would stay again.

I would’ve liked bedroom suites they are nice and family friendly. I would’ve loved the hotel to provide a shuttle. We arrived and it was stressful and time consuming to find away to the hotel.

The hotel was great in allowing us to check in 2 hours earlier as we had arrived from NZ on a 13 hour flight at 6am so it was a long day especially with kids. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast was amazing and a real bonus when you have 2 growing teenage boys. It set us up for getting out and about each day. The location was also perfect being right on Fisherman's wharf, close to all the attractions either by public transport or walking. We felt completely safe at all times. Would highly recommend this hotel for all travelers but especially those with families.

Super location if looking to do touristy things like Alcatraz, Big Bus, Cable car, Pier 39, and Fisherman’s Wharf. Free buffet breakfast daily very good with excellent service staff. Parking expensive but worth it if taking trips to surrounding areas. We drove to Sausalito, Carmel, Big Sur, etc. btw Waymo comes right to front of hotel! Rooms smallish but clean. Did not use outdoor pool as weather cold (in July!). Nice fire pit sitting areas. Nice vibe for families.

Parking very expensive but I think there are public parking options near by.

They take my request of clean, quiet & connecting room seriously. They log my request into their system which helps to check in easily. The bed was very comfortable. The fireplace adds a cozy touch to the environment. Location is fantastic. Alot of Food walking distance away and Trader’s Joe is a great place to get some grocery. Breakfast is simple and good for us. Pancake, fruits etc. The street don’t feel unsafe. the wharf area and around the hotel at night doesn’t feel unsafe although there a few homeless but they usually keep to themselves. Overall we enjoy our stay.

Heater too noisy but the comfortable bed helps. Shower water pressure is weak. Variety of breakfast will be good esp for those staying for 3 days or more.
