The rooms were very clean and tidy and I've never slept in a more comfortable bed in a motel. It's location was great with the ferry terminal a short walk and restaurants and IGA just outside. We had a great view of Brisbane River and saw plenty of planes coming into the airport. It was perfect for us as we were out all day.

For the price, a breakfast buffet or similar each morning would have been much better. Unfortunately, they don't have these facilities. The cafe/restaurant downstairs is open 24/7 which is very handy but obviously has it's own costs, although they are very reasonable. The secure motel parking costs and extra $15 a day but I managed to get free parking nearby throughout the stay. There is no designated unloading/loading parking at check in/out but the staff allowed us into the secure parking to do this.

The location was very good transport links via bus and ferry were within easy walking distance. The bed and pillows were particularly. The staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant. A supermarket was just across the road and there were endless places to eat within a few minutes walk of the hotel

I have no complains about our stay at the Alcyone Hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again in the future. Hotel, staff and location were all excellent

Wonderfully situated just a short way from Bretts Whart. Restaurants, upmarket IGA, Coffee shots just below the property. Flat was wonderfully clean, with all the services and facilities we needed. Fantastic balcony. Property on quite a busy road but don't notice any noise. They will be installing a safe which was missing. I would happily live in this apartment for a few weeks a year in my new favourite city Brisbane..

Very modern and clean

Parking was fully booked, had to park in public carpark which cost $40 Our room wasn't ready when we checked in at 2pm and the girl behind the desk wasn't very helpful about giving us a time frame. I had provided my checkin time in advance. She tried to contact housekeeping but nobody replied. I had to push the issue and she eventually gave us an apartment that was ready. This was not offered, I had to be firm and stay at the desk holding up the queue before she finally looked for a room that was ready. She was quite content to just tell me it wasn't ready and let me wait without any sort of time frame.

The staff were incredibly accomodating, the location is close to a huge selection of restaurants, the hotel cafe/bar is 24hrs and great coffee. The room was spotless with a comfortable bed, the hotel smells devine and heaps of parking available. If I didn’t have two working breed dogs I would live here, it’s close to everything you’d need including go karting, Doomben racecourse and Eat Street. There is also a full table on the balcony, a huge park, river views and a TV in the room and lounge area. Would 100% stay again.

This is an amazing place to stay, clean, tidy and the reception staff were amazing! Great restaurant right outside the foyer and very reasonably priced, had lunch and dinner there. Only stayed one night as we were flying out the following day, was really close to the international airport, Uber was cheap and really convenient. We had a two bedroom apartment, each room had its own bathroom, so no waiting when having to leave early the next day. The washing machine and dryer was also a great added bonus as we did all our washing before heading home. Places to eat and convenience store right outside, felt really safe in this area, walked along the river bank and into the small township. Would totally recommend this place and we would stay again.

Reception staff are just divine. Very warm welcome and very helpful. Cannot stress that enough. Beautifully clean room - truly, not a mark on any wall, no chipped crockery, no spots on the carpet, no stains in the bathrooms, no weird smells - just total quality and cleanliness. Practically unheard of! No disturbance from other guests - while we saw other guests in the lobby we almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves it was so peaceful. The location is grand - clean streets, lots of shops/restaurants, and a lovely big family park across the road to have your morning coffee. Truly enjoyed our stay.

My singular issue was the lack of shower water pressure, but we were on level 13 and I find that sometimes happens when you stay on high floors in hotels. (Room 1305 if that helps hotel staff identify which bathroom needs a little look at :) ) Other than that - splendid!

There were no instructions on how to use the microwave, air conditioning or tv in bedroom. In spite of promise from concierge to fix it, we could not get free-to-air tv in bedroom. Lighting poor for reading; generally clean, but I had to clean the table on the balcony before use.

The location was great with cafes and restaurants all within walking distance. We could even have gone to the movies if we had the time. Our apartment was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us when our friend had lost his phone at one stage.

It would have been even nicer if we had've had more choice in the pillow selection. They were great, but just a little too high for me to be totally comfortable.

Very comfortable 2 bed, 2 bath apartment. Beds were comfortable and in room facilities were in good condition. The location was fabulous as we were attending an event in Portside and the 24 hour cafe attached was a real bonus. Sound proofing was good and we were not disturbed by other residents. Would definitely stay again.

The apartment was a little musty smelling when we arrived and needed airing but opening up and putting the fans on solved that. Hot water took ages to come through which wasted a fair amount of water in the shower. The couch provided was fine but it would have been good to have comfortable chair to allow for seating everyone.
