I was in Brisbane for a reunion at the Breakfast creek hotel. I chose the View because of such a close proximity and I didn't have a car to get around with. So this was definitely a plus. The view was awesome from my room. The food was pretty good and the bed was fairly comfortable (subjective I know) and the staff were very friendly

The fact that there were 2 prices for breakfast whether you pre booked or not. I personally think that this shouldn't matter. it should be the same price. Maybe at least a coffee pod machine in the room would have been great. The room was a bit pokey. It was ok for one person. Had I brought my partner with me. I think it would have been a different story

Loved the location. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom spacious. The suite was a good size, In-house room service and food was very enjoyable, however....

The lounge area was overcrowded with bulky furniture and ill placed, creating tight walk spaces with suitcases. Bedroom should have 2 suitcase racks. The 2 seater sofa in lounge was very uncomfortable to sit in and extremely low to the ground making it a real strain for the mature guest to get up from. The cost of a can of softdrink at $6AUD was exorbitant, certainly need to review mini bar prices. The security deposit of $200 was taken from my credit card and when refunded was charged $18 for 3 cans of softdrink, which I paid for at time of checkout along with my room service bill.

We chose View Brisbane for its location and the Family room (compared to having to book 2 rooms). This stay was for last 2 nights of our 11-day Brisbane-GoldCoast trip, we wanted to stay near BNE airport, out of CBD and along the Brisbane River for some good non-concrete views. During our stay, we also drove over to Eat Street (<10 mins) and DFO (<20mins) via the super convenient Kingsford Smith Dr just in front of the View. Having a BP gas station around 220m away is a bonus as we had a rented car and needed to refill the gas before returning it (10km final drive to airport won't take much off the "refueled to brink" tank). Internet search showed that Brisbane tap water is safe to drink, but staff at check-in advised it is better to collect free still water from their bar for drinking especially when we have young kids... very thoughtful. Last but not least, the hotel staff were very friendly, courteous and warm... keep it up!!!

Although we could collect free glass bottled still water from the bar (located at ground level), it's still inconvenient considering we have to go up-n-down between our room and the bar, and collecting 4 bottles to meet the needs of our Group of 5. It would be splendid if the hotel could provide a filtered water dispenser at each level so that guests could collect good drinking still water from their respective levels.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff always polite and smiling. The beds were super comfy and had great views over looking at the swimming pool and garden areas. I enjoyed having drinks at the bar, and the lobby was a nice seating area and meet-up place. Cafe was also great, and they had a restaurant, but I didn't use it but saw other guests using it, and it seemed popular.

The air-conditioning in 1 of the rooms didn't work and was constantly hot inside. We reported it to the reception and they said they'd get some one to look at it but it didn't get fixed. The other room had great air-conditioning.

We stayed in Room 614. Level 6 (7 is the top floor) and right next to the lift. The room was so bright and welcoming. Huge windows with great views. It is not on the river side and I felt that, because of this, it was very quiet (river side faces the main road). We had requested a fold-away which, to my surprise, was a full size single bed. Both beds (the Queen and the fold away) were very comfortable. The whole room was cleaned to a high standard. There was still space in this large room for a comfortable couch and a massive TV (I think it was 55 inch). There is also a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The pool is amazing, along with the bonus outdoor spaces and sun loungers. You also get the use of a bathrobe which we wore to go to the pool. Towels are supplied and there is also drinks service at poolside. We also utilised the room service. Our meals were delicious and well priced. There is a $5 additional charge un top of meal chargers. The reception staff were lovely and the onsite car park is undercover and secure ($15 per day). Location is actually really great with the Breakfast Creek Hotel a very short walk away (though do book your table). You can also hire electric scooters/bikes and take a ride along the river or into Fortitude Valley. There are many near by places to eat and drink and enjoy. It is not in the heart of the Brisbane city, which I appreciated. I would have loved to have sampled a cocktail at the hotel bar - it looked very cosy and had an old time charm about it, however I was told that the bartender did not come in, so bar was left closed for the evening. Overall. I would definitely stay here again!

The bar was shut due to staffing.

We really liked the guy who worked in the bar with the tattoos! He was very friendly and the boys loved how he engaged with them. The pool was brilliant and loved the room service

We arrived at 9.30am and had to drop our bags as we got off the plane, came back to the hotel at 2pm and had to hang around in the foyer for an hour with two primary school kids who were good but had been up since 5am travelling so we were exhausted. Others seemed to get their room prior to 3pm while we had to wait right up until 3pm. I also found the corners of the room/bathroom to be dirty, like their are using a round head mop/vacuum. Otherwise pretty good, there is a fairly grumpy girl on reception too but maybe she was just having a bad day.

Was a beautiful stay and didn’t let down on the view of the river! The bed was soooo comfortable & cozy. The overall presentation of the room itself was clean and comfortable. Awesome room service selection and are not stingy on the servings so great value for the price 😊

My reason for booking View Hotel was solely in the title of its name the view. The view was beautiful but all the windows were dirty from the outside it really tainted what could’ve been an almost perfect review. It was smeared, not just average build up of dust but literal smears, watermarks and I swear there was a shoe print on the outside of the window, was really a let down for me.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and it will definitely be our choice for the next time. Convenient location, amazing view from our room, super comfortable bed and pretty good outside pool with working (!) spa pool and sauna. We also were quite impressed with soundproofing - our room was looking at the main road, and it was still very quiet. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. And parking was great - easy and secure.

Shower pressure could be a little better, but that was the only downside.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, the bathroom amenities were of high quality and beautiful to smell. The parking was very reasonably priced. The bar, restaurant and pool all of great quality

The staff could be a little more generous, I overheard someone request a later checkout snd he was asked to pay an additional 40 dollars. The shower heads need to be improved, they are immovable so difficult to keep hair dry

We were pleasantly surprised with the room and the view we got, after booking last minute and at a cheaper rate. We could see both directions up the river, we loved sitting in the seats and watching the happenings of the river. It was certainly a high light for our kids. We all found the beds super comfy. The bathroom was so pretty and the towels provided were soft and very generous in size. The decor and styling of the entire place was beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Only thing that could have made it even better would be a little more attention to dusting of the room and cleaning of the tile grout in the bathroom. However, it wasn't terrible and didn't affect our stay what so ever.
