Refund of deposit was too slow

We had 2 nights at the Direct Collective - Governor apartments. Our check in was very smooth and the staff member was really lovely and communicative. We had 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment which was very comfortable. There were a couple of minor things such as the light in the 2nd bedroom was very dim so I used the light in the hallway when I needed to, the air con in the living space was not very powerful, and the screen on the remote for the air con in the 2nd bedroom was not working so I couldn't tell what settings the air con was on easily. However event else was great and we were very comfortable. The location was very convenient and had secure parking. Our apartment had amazing views of the surrounding suburbs and RNA showgrounds. We will definitely use this accommodation for future visits to Brisbane.

The staff member who greeted me upon check-in was delightful - super friendly, clear instructions and communication. The car park was easy to find and navigate, with navigating around the entire apartment complex also a breeze thanks to clear signage and intuitive positioning of doors, elevators, swipe entries etc. The apartment itself has clearly been looked after well, and was comfortable and tidy.

The dishwasher in the apartment was dirty & stinky, and the hallway outside the apartments smelt like garbage. Everything else was impeccably clean!

the room exceeded expectations relative to the price. We had an entire 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with a huge balcony. The kitchen was well appointed with corckery and appliances. Great value for money, would definitely book again. We were attending an event in Fortitude valley which was a 15 minute walk from this property making it very accessible

I am aware that my date of stay was a public holiday but check in was made more difficult due to no reception staff - check in was done over the phone. Online was an option but we missed the cut off time to check in online. Wasn't the easiest process but it was doable. Still highly recommended and would visit again

Location and cleanness. The beds were comfortable, and the view was lovely. But the best thing was the staff that solved our problem and moved us to a room matching our reservation.

Because of an air-con issue, they changed our room and put us in another room with a different bed configuration from our reservation. The fantastic staff moved us to a room matching our reservation, but this situation was a bit disappointing. Also, having a coffee machine in the room would be nice.

The staff was kind and helpful. The apartment felt spacious despite being small. The furniture was of good quality and relatively stylish. Paid parking was available, or you could park in the street over the weekend, free of charge (Friday afternoon to Sunday night). The location is great if you're planning to spend time around the valley. The building is secure, and the room has a small but nice balcony.

I have no complaints. If I stayed in Brisbane again, pending my location requirements, I would certainly consider booking here again. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Have stayed before this and would stay again. I think it's great value for money. Considering it's quite expensive around Brisbane. What you get here was well worth it. Close to most things. Minimal but has everything you need.

My only real critique is that the bathroom tap is a little close to the back of the sink. It's not a deal breaker but maybe something to look into. The pressure in the shower is a little weak too, but it out wayed in it's Temp. Could really get a good steam going. Other that those two things I can't complain.

I came for a work trip and stayed a couple of nights. Location was good as it was close to Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital (15 min walking distance). Otherwise proximity to restaurants etc was not that convenient. Place was clean, much larger than expected, with a decent balcony and good aircon as well as ceiling fans.

Staff at front desk when picking up keys was not friendly. It also was not made clear in the booking that the property is split in 2 and we are in a different building to reception- not a huge deal but would be helpful to know this prior to booking.

Spacious apartment. Lots of storage. Very clean. Loads of bright natural light. Full kitchen. Washer and dryer. I could slide on the floors in my socks which I loved and the mattress made for a heavenly sleep. Booked one night and kept extending for about 4 nights because I didn't want to leave!

Complimentary shower supplies ran out after one use and had to ask cleaners for 3 little bottles of conditioner, shampoo, soap and body scrub. They were happy to provide these though

Great location, very comfy and spacious apartment. Beautiful view from the rooftop and adequate seating options up there! Very clean and tidy rooms.

The only issue we had was we had 2 cars and paid for 1 to be undercover as there was only 1 left, the other was on the street across from the hotel. We weren't informed clearly that between 4-6pm weekdays is a 'No Park Zone' and we were fined $309 and had to park a block away. Made for a very upsetting, expensive weekend!! This wasn't the rule last time we visited we could stay there the whole weekend.
