Fantastic hotel for exploring Brisbane! Located in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood. Easy and quick to get there from the airport by train, then it's one bus stop from the local train station. It's also pretty simple to travel into the city centre by bus. Beautifully decorated and huge room, and the staff were super friendly. Self service laundry in the basement was a pleasant surprise after travelling around Australia for a while! Pool on the roof was decent too, and has a nice view of the city at sunset. I didn't try out the lobby restaurant or bar, but they looked great. Would stay here again next time in Brisbane!

We stayed 1 night for our first staycation for our 7th Anniversary. I mentioned it was our anniversary and got a complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate (it was very nice detail). The room was big & loved that it had an spa. Bed was comfortable but unfortunately there was too much glare and could not sleep amazing (my own fault as did not realised I could close the curtains). The service was nice & friendly. We had a nice stay. We liked the fact that they had nesspresso coffee available.

The spa did not seem to fit 2 people well as the bubbles were over strong. This is the second Ovolo that we cannot workout the broadcasting. Next time I will need to ask for help 😅.

The location was perfect for us, close enough to walk to the restaurants and nightlife. It was quiet which was lovely. The style decor of the hotel is really cool. Lots of quirky stuff. The bar was lovely for a pre dinner cocktail. We ate in the Italian restaurant, food was so good, we had a great evening. Staff at the hotel were all really friendly and polite.

The only criticism I have is the shower head was a bit small and the drainage wasn’t great as every time we had a shower water would end up on the floor outside the shower. The TV remote didn’t work so we had to switch it on and off by plugging it out

Very stylish and comfortable hotel in a great location - just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Several restaurants nearby.

Some of the facilities like the pool deck and cafe weren't available for part of the time we were there as they were booked out for private functions. This seemed a bit cheeky as you expect the advertised amenities to be available for guests. Also the gym is tiny - you'd struggle to get more than one person in there at a time.

Ovolo has everything going for it! The location is ideal for couples, being walking distance to great restaurants and boutique-style shopping. The staff are friendly and incredibly accommodating. The rooms and decor are truly something special. It’s impressive how this hotel has seamlessly tied 70s music themes with Australian native flora and fauna accents in an eccentric, yet effortless and stylish clash. A truly unforgettable stay!

Only that our experience was so exceptional it may have completely spoiled our future expectations for accommodation choices in Brisbane. I guess we'll just have to stay at Ovolo every time we visit!

Rooms were spacious, well stocked and very clean. Convenient location to all restaurants and transport options. Funky small pool on rooftop. Beds/pillows very comfy and all amenities provided. Lolly bar in reception whilst you wait! Great Bar and lovely restaurant albeit vegetarian. Close to other great restaurants though so really not that much of an issue. Staff helpful and always smiling even when very busy!

Gym was a little small and rundown. parking was $60 a night. A snack/drink option around the pool would have been amazing. Was on the first floor so traffic was a little noisy. Otherwise nothing! We love the Ovolo!

Spacious rooms, lovely decor, love loved the bath tub and bath salts were such a great touch. Basically was on a mission for a room with a big bath and this did not disappoint. Really enjoyed our stay and our room. Location was great. Loved the sweets table in the lobby but the selection could be better!

Parking too expensive - but we found parking across the road at Wilson Parking on Ann which was only $24 for over night, but is not very secure. Breakfast which was included was good but would have preferred a buffet or more choice’s, rather than the limited menu. You then got charged extra for any sides you want to add - which basically including anything you ordered because nothing came with bacon!! And you couldn’t order the big breakfast. If breakfast is included - there shouldn’t be so many limitations to it. Was disappointing after thinking we had got a great deal!

Great location. The staff were lovely, very accommodating to some check in and check out requests. Very clean. Mini bar well stocked.

The size of the bed is very small. It’s more like a small double and every time someone moved the whole bed moved. No fan in the bathroom and the bathroom door is glass so as soon as the sun comes up, the whole room was bright. The pool beds are all in shade, would be nice to have some available to sit in the sun.

Loved all of it, hubby and I went for a staycation and it was wonderful, super relaxing. The spa was fantastic, absolutely loved having a spa popping on the complementary robe and laying back, and actually being able to use the streaming services on the tv to watch a movie (lots of other places we've stayed at wifi has been terrible and can't use the apps on the tv). The room was big and the bed was very cosy and comfortable. Location is great, plenty of eating places out the front, no need to leave the area. Perfect for a relaxing staycation, will definitely be back.

Loved being checked in in the AM when I just expected to drop off a bag. Thanks to the wonderful Joshua, who then continued to make our other requests come true throughout our stay. Room was great, well lit and decorated, shower head incredible... and the pool!!! Omg the rooftop pool was the vibe. The right size and LOVED the mosaic, and all the yellow!

While the location is a 10 minute walk from Fortitude Valley train station, and well serviced by buses and uber, we stayed during a public holiday weekend, so a few things in the area were closed. But that feels minor.
