Very kind and helpful staff. Lovely modern room. The hotel is in a great area near excellent restaurants and bars as well as some high quality shops and lovely streets. Although outside the CBD, we walked to the river and took the Citycat ferry to central areas, or walked in the other direction and took the elevator down to the river walkway. We found it to be a fantastic location.

Unfortunately, a major construction project was taking place directly opposite the hotel. This was no fault of the hotel but the noise was very loud and the vibration through the building very disturbing. We asked to have our room moved to be further from the front of the hotel but it was still noisy from early morning.

Tidy, clean and and a spacious bathroom. Great location and price for a pet-friendly stay. Lots of bakeries and eateries around. They gave us ear plugs because there's construction work going on around the area - though we stayed over the weekend so there wasn't any construction happening - but appreciate the thought!

Stayed here for one night with my puppy - they gave us a room on the ground floor. A little surprised that the floor was carpet. There's a small outdoor area - would have been great if there was some grass where we could bring our puppy to go toilet - you have to go out of the hotel and it's hard to find any grass nearby in the neighbourhood. I didn't end up getting any of the dog goodies for my puppy even though they were aware I booked a pet-friendly room.

Greeted by really friendly staff who were so helpful. Our dogs were spoilt with beds,snacks, etc. Great room with such a comfy bed and pillows.The court yard was a lovely touch that our dogs enjoyed sitting in the morning. The street was stunning with lots of choices to eat and great shops. We also had a try of a great bakery on the corner called Sprout. Took our dogs for an enjoyable walk early in the morning. Would highly recommend this place. Will definitely be back!

Loud music at night. But we were so tired and bed so comfy we did t notice after a few minutes lol.

Loved everything about this hotel. Very professional staff . The only thing we could fault was the fact that there were building works across the road that seriously compacted staying here. But after one night the staff were very kind to move our room to the second floor at the back of the building which was a lot better . The sound of the excavations was still there but it was nowhere near as bad as the first day. Not the staffs fault at all . We were warned but didn’t realise how loud it would be. Such a shame because it’s a really nice hotel

The overall hotel is excellent, fresh current design with comfortable rooms and beds and enough room to move around. The location is excellent in the heart of all in Fortitude Valley

Absolutely insane noise Monday to Saturday from 6:30am ALL day with jack hammering from new development across the street impacting all rooms, i had a room at the back of the hotel and clearly hear the terrible consistent noise.

Good location near the shops & restaurants of James Street precinct. Very comfortable good size rooms, nice bathroom & toiletries. Nice pub next door for dinner & plenty of other options nearby. Bit limited for breakfast.

Really loud construction noise from 6.30am to 5 pm is awful, and the earplugs provided by the hotel are no match for the constant jackhammering. Not the hotel’s fault, but I wouldn’t stay again until the construction is finished.

It's in the most optimal position to James street. A walk to all the cafes and shopping.

There was no where to pull up to get your belongings out which I found inconvenient. The bathroom also could do with a blind as the light was bright and difficult to sleep in. The cleaner also knocked on the door at 10am when we had late checkout. So defeated the purpose of us sleeping in after a late night at a wedding.

Hotel staff were fabulous, great communicators and service. Room had a great view and was clean, well-appointed and lovely and quiet. James St location was awesome, so close to cafes and the shopping precinct, and only a short walk to both the Riverside walk tracks and the fun of Ann St. As an added bonus, we had visited for our anniversary and the staff were very thoughtful. When we entered our room we were surprised by balloons, brownies with candles and a light up sign wishing us a happy anniversary, very kind.

Great location for branded clothing shops with lots of places to dine, very central if you don’t mind the walk to Chinatown, and 50c train ride 1 stop to Central CBD. Although James street is a busy thoroughfare with traffic, our room was very quiet and modern. Beds were comfy and room very clean. We were allowed a late Sunday checkout which worked well for us . I would choose The Sage hotel if visiting Brisbane again. Thank you

Overnight relief person didn't provide an itemised bill. I got a sandwich at 11.45pm put in on my bill. Next morning met the same person. Had $10 in my hand, ask how much it was, and said it was $10. I don't believe it. He probably deleted the item of the account and pocketed the $10. Also forgot our can of coke we paid prior to retiring for the night and not got a refund for that since. Money hungry
