Amazingly beautiful hotel, wow! It has this super nice authentic vibe and the monastery is just plain gorgeous. The pool is excellent and you can get drinks from the bar and take them to the pool or to one of the many tables around the property. There was also the opportunity to have your own bbq, as the hotel has 7 grills available free of charge. They will put on the cozy lights for you and you can have a BBQ with the beautiful Tuscan hills in the background. Rooms are spacious and clean, bed was comfy, AC worked perfectly for the hot summer nights. Would definitely come back here if I find myself in Tuscany again!

Easy to get to Siena. Restaurant on site was very good - food and especially the staff! Quiet property with character. Had plenty of towels. Hotel was able to arrange for late check-in and gave clear directions.

Didn't have corkscrew/wine opener in room. Hair dryer socket needed to be activated (should have already done this prior to check-in). Shower was small. Front desk staff unfriendly/ unwelcoming. It was hard to get our luggage easily into the area to access rooms at night. There are big planters blocking the paved pathways around the building so we had to pull the luggage over the gravel.

a unique place. A beautiful old building in the heart of the Tuscan landscape. A wonderful location away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Not far from Siena, which is a huge advantage. An excellent base for sightseeing. A great place to relax. Relaxing by the pool among old trees, without the hustle and bustle and the constantly playing music and intrusive animations, is another advantage. The kitchenette in the room allows you to prepare a light lunch during the day from local products purchased in the agricultural delicatessen in Siena. Excellent staff, exceptional hospitality is a big strength of this place. Grazie Mille a tutti .

The accommodation was beautiful ! As soon as we pulled up in the drive way we were blown away. The whole site is gorgeous! We had a top floor apartment and the view of the surrounding area and rolling hills of Tuscany was beautiful. The staff were all exceptionally kind and accommodating. The breakfast was great, I am vegetarian and had a mixture of cheese, scrambled egg, tomatoes, cucumber, bread, croissants, fruit, yoghurt and a whole range of cakes and sweets! You definitely need to a hire a car here. We hired ours from Florence and it was about an hour away from there. We spent the days exploring the area, the local towns and then spent the afternoons relaxing by the pool. There are mosquitoes so definitely bring mosquito repellent. Also highly recommend hiring e-bikes with their partner company which is 2km away, it was 45 euro each for the whole day and then 15 euro for the navigator device and it was such an amazing day ! Would definitely return if we come back to Tuscany.

Only small thing is the bed wasnt the most comfortable with quite hard foam, but I found this with most of the beds in Italy so I think that is just the way they are there. Didn’t affect my sleep.

The landscape was beautiful. You can have dinner outside in the yard when you ask for it. With an amazing view.

Some of the photos have not been up to date. Especially our kid was a bit sad that there was no diving board at the pool as shown in the pictures. The pool seems bigger in the pictures. We arrived 2 hours earlier then check in and had to come back later. There was not even an option to wait at the pool area or at the restaurant.

Special atmosphere of the monastry was very nice. Big pool and big garden.

Matrace was worn out, airconditioning was extrimely loud and inefficient in the room. Breakfast was the exact same during the 6 days stay, veggies were not fresh. No diary and gluten free options at breakfast, needed to wait 5 days to get even soya milk… No cuttlery, palates and glasses at the apartman despite we asked for to get them. I think the place has great potentials but would need some skilled management to make it.

Location was easy to find and the views were outstanding. The penthouse was very spacious, breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. The pool was very clean and surrounded by plenty of deck chairs.

The bathrooms were a bit dated and not airy. The restaurant is very beautiful and with some good options for dinner, but there are plenty of other good restaurants close by too.

Great location. Beautiful views. Lovely old monastery building. Large pool and smaller pool for young kids.

No air conditioning. Staff were not always very accommodating. Restaurant and hotel separated and you can’t charge to your room while the credit card terminal didn’t work most of the time. You need a car to stay here.

The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. we had some beetles in the room and a lightbulb didn't work etc. and the staff did everything to fix our problems immediatly. the view is astonishing and the Borgo has so much charm and tranquility.

The rooms were full of insects and the beds were bumpy and the bathroom was from another era: so old and rusty. but what could be fixed: the staff (special mention to Francesco) did fix as best as they could.

Everything, staff were friendly and helpful, restaurant was great.
