Location is up on the lake but with the ferry system you can get anywhere for a day trip even visiting multiple cities in a day. Staff and food at the restaurant was exceptional. You are a little trapped btw after 7pm since the ferries stop and bus service is sparse past then but you are left with essentially 3 restaurants. The hotel restaurant is so good though I just tried everything there.

Be nice if there was a full size shower in my room. Be nice if my room could see more outside but I knew it was a room with a few compromises. Also be nice if there was power at the desk but I just strung a cable across the room. Overall great stay.

Very well located on the waterfront in Lenno, opposite the ferry stop and away from the busy main road. Much quieter than other towns but very easy access to ferry to get to nearby Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo, Menaggio, etc. We arrived by car which we left in the convenient basement parking and then just walked and used ferries. You can sit outside at the restaurant directly overlooking lake Como so it is an exceptional setting. Very helpful staff assisted us in booking entry for the nearby Villa del Balbianello which is the only garden where you otherwise have to queue.

Breakfast was nice, but perhaps a bit more fruit and berries.

This was one of the most beautiful hotels and locations I’ve stayed in. The town of Lenno was quiet and charming, the location next to the ferry was perfect, and the hotel was very close to Villa Del Balbianello where we had our wedding. The hotel had amazing and friendly customer service. I had been in contact with them for over a year prior to our wedding and they were so kind and helpful. Our room was stunning, with beautiful views of the lake. The photos I have of getting ready in the hotel are beautiful and it was the perfect place to have our wedding dinner. I am so happy I chose Hotel Lenno and it will have a special place in my heart for the rest of my life. I hope to come back and relive my amazing stay many more times!

Hotel Lenno sits right on Lake Como across from the ferry dock. The views are wonderful! We had a room with a side view of the lake and it was terrific. Room was very spacious and had a/c that worked well. As a bonus, we had a balcony, and that was delightful. The included breakfast buffet was great - lots of options (eggs, fresh bread, yogurts, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, fresh-squeezed OJ, pastries, etc.) and a lovely outdoor eating area. The pool area has plenty of seating. You had to pay for parking, but it was easily accessible. Overall, a great stay!

The pool is only open until 7pm, which meant we couldn't use it when we most needed it (after a day of exploring).

Location and ease of access to ferry was exceptional. Lenno in general is a beautiful town and we loved staying there. The rooms were also very spacious and had a great view.

There were very less food options and none of them were relevant to us. We were looking for vegetarian or chicken options and there were absolutely none. The AC / heater was too warm and there was too much suffocation in the room. Any adjustments we were trying to do, seemed like it was just for show and no change actually happened. When we contacted reception they said they cannot do much as cooling is not allowed and only heating is or something.

The staff was exemplary, and were fluent in English as well as Italian. I particularly appreciated their patience in explaining the ferry schedule. The breakfast buffet was very good. The room was spacious and clean. The location was exceptionally convenient for using the ferry, and I enjoyed shopping at the local vendors.

The room was not the most comfortable for me. I found it to be too warm (late April), and the heating system kept turning back on after I had shut it off. The air conditionaling system was not yet operational for the summer. Opening the window was not a quiet option, as my room overlooked the hotel entrance and the ferry loading/unloading area. The bed was also not the most comfortable, as it was quite hard compared to other beds I had slept in. It may be entirely acceptable at a different time of year or outdoor temperature.

Everything from start to finish, the staff, especially one of the family owners Giacomo who went way above and beyond to take care of my hire car tyre puncture on our 1st day there, while we continued our holiday. This is clearly a very, very well maintained hotel with high standards. Big room, big bed, big ensuite, pool, balcony with lakeside view. 24 hr staff available, bar, private car park available. The setting is stunning, the staff so friendly and helpful, the restaurant was a wonderful experience as we sat outside beside the lake. There is a ferry stop right beside the hotel and a bus stop at the top of the hill with regular buses up and down the lake, to Como as well, which we used once. You can pay by card or cash on the bus. There are 5 or 6 bars and restaurants along the lakeside in Lenno all within a short walk from the hotel, we tried 2 of them, both excellent. Ferry to Bellagio, a must visit, and Varenna, also a must see...make sure you walk along the lakeside pathway in Varrena to all the shops, cafes etc. and sample the ice cream. Bellagio is bigger with lots of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Will definitely return. And for Giacomo, thank you and... Forza Viola!

breakfast was not on a par with the rest of the hotel. Clearly not the same staff & skill deployed – but they were certainly kind. If you want to be in the middle of the action, Lenno is a quiet place with a small number of places to eat & drink: in that case beter opt for, say, Bellagio.

This hotel feels like something out of a fairy tale. Absolutely stunning, it's full of character with photos of the owner's grandfather and his family, who opened the hotel in 1903. Recently renovated, the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and modern. The hotel offers a great selection for breakfast and has a bar and restaurant. The staff are always friendly and courteous. The lake is right at the hotel's doorstep, with a beautiful walkway along the shore. The dock, where you can catch a ferry to other towns, is just 20 yards from the entrance. Located in Lenno, a picturesque and relaxed town, the hotel is near Villa del Balbianello, which offers stunning views of the lake and lush, rolling mountains.
