As a fourth generation hospitality expert with over 30 years experience, I could not fault Hotel Eden Wellness. On arrival at the train station, I was collected by the hotel's driver, and was swiftly driven the short distance. The owner, Tamara welcomed me on my arrival with great enthusiasm and a smile. She and her staff were all extremely friendly and helpful at all times. The facilities were all excellent, and very importantly always clean, especially the spa area. Whenever I came across any member of staff, they would always greet me, and ask how my day was going, or if I needed anything. My room was very nice, with modern facilities, and the most amazing view of the Matterhorn. Every evening there would be a turndown service, and towels etc were tidied up. Nice touch. Breakfast was very good, with a selection of hot and cold buffet service. The ski room was very well situated in the basement with direct access to the street. The ski lockers and entrance from the street were locked/unlocked with your room key for convenience, which was very handy. My ski boots were dry every morning, because who likes soggy boots? The location was very good too, with the town centre being a 10 minute walk. The bus servicing the ski lifts was also very near. One of my main reasons for booking was the spa, where I spent at least an hour every evening relaxing after a long day skiing. The pool, water jet massage points, jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms were all excellent. There is also a small gym which I didn't use. All in all, Swiss hospitality at its finest. If I have to be extremely critical, I would say my room was slightly too warm for my liking. But that was easily rectified by leaving my window slightly open at night. I couldn't fault the hotel for anything.

We loved this family owned property with all it had to offer. It’s a fabulous choice for those skiing/ boarding…but a bit of a hike from the lifts- but that’s Zermatt. Staff were super helpful, arranging dinners and giving us great local suggestions. Inclusive breakfast very adequate and the coffee not bad!

We chose the property for the pool sauna and steam room facility which were terrific- but ultra European with no covering in the sauna and steam rooms- I found this intimidating mixing both males and females- but this is my issue. Why are these properties heated SO high- constantly having to cool down the room with outside air and we had every heater off!

The hotel is fantastic... The location is excellent, the hotel itself is beautiful and you can tell a lot of care and attention go into the appearance. The staff at check in were fantastic and super friendly, the room itself was very nice, very large, nice modern amenities. A lovely place to stay. The breakfast was good. The pool and spa are great.

The pillows on the bed are rubbish, to soft and large. More modern pillows would be great. It would be great if the spa was open in the morning to get a quick blast before venturing out into the hills for the day

Everything was perfect: the room (very comfortable beds), the hotel facilities and spa with the pool and saunas, the healthy breakfast choices, the cleanness, the location (not on the main and busy street of the village but still quite close to ski lifts, restaurants, etc). The service was impeccable and friendly. The hotel owners and workers take care of their hotel with love and very attentive to their guests needs. We had my husband’s birthday during our stay and they arranged a nice surprise birthday cake for him. If possible, go also for the room with the Matterhorn view- to see its majestic peak with sun shining over it in front of your balcony is really worth of a extra money! If we go to Zermatt again, this hotel would be my preferred place to stay in.

The wellness area exceeded expectations, offering a generous space with multiple saunas, a jacuzzi, experience shower, pool, and more. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, with different types of milk, seeds, and juices available. Our upgraded room was exceptionally spacious, fully equipped, and thoughtfully designed, featuring a designer sofa, bathtub, and high-quality shower head. An excellent stay overall.

The only downside was the attitude of one receptionist, but overall the staff were very helpful—especially during breakfast, where the service was warm and attentive.

Very comfy and relaxing vibes. Lovely view from the room! Room itself felt very modern and well-equipped. Very very clean premises, within the hotel areas and the room. Free pickup from the railway station, and drop-off as well after checkout. Excellent customer service by the hotel staff and reception!

These are just a few nitpicks, but: The pool and wellness area felt a little bit outdated compared to the rest of the amazing modern-looking hotel. The breakfast was nice, but could do with a bit more of vegetarian options. And price-wise, it felt a bit pricey... But these are just small nitpicks, because overall, there wasn't much to dislike, honestly!

Loved this hotel, everything was modernly furnished and so clean. Housekeeping were brilliant, they visited twice a day and were wonderful at their jobs - thank you!! The receptionists were also great, I especially had the pleasure of speaking to Tamara for the majority of my stay - she was very kind, patient and willing to help. Breakfast was varied, they had the usual options, along with some homemade cakes/pastries. The spa area was gorgeous, I didn't use the sauna as it was a nude only zone, but the pool was lovely! My single room was great, I loved the balcony, the little sitting area, and the fact that I had both a shower and a bath (nothing like soaking in hot water after a hike). The view of the matterhorn was perfect, I even managed to take a photo of the sunrise on the tip (I was so happy, I cried). The location was also perfect, close to all the gondola stations and lots of restaurants, etc, but to be honest, in Zermatt, everything is close to everything anyway. The hotel also offers a free transfer from Zermatt train station, but this only runs until 7 pm.

It would've been nice if milk was also provided in the room to have with the teas provided. Pillows were also so flat - I did ask for a different one, but that was never followed through. The room was also excruciatingly hot, even though all radiators were off. Noise between rooms was slightly annoying, especially with the elephants living above and next to me, haha! Nonetheless, these issues mostly have easy fixes, so I'd gladly stay here again.

Very clean room, great location with many restaurants and shops around, pool and massage were very good. The staff was amazing and friendly, always had an answer to our queries and helped in any way they can. Breakfast was also yummy, staff was there to give you a nice cup of coffee on request. Beautiful view of the Matterhorn from our room.

Would have been nice to have air conditioning for the summer, had to wait for evening to come to get some cool air. Pillows could be better. Otherwise all good

The hotel design is great, many apples decoration, matched with the theme Eden. Remember to try the bakery next door, the cinnamon roll is delicious; and use the shuttle bus service back to the train station. Our room faces directly towards the Matterhorn, the view is nice. Enough space for two large luggages. All staff are very friendly and helpful, who helped to reheat our instant food and cleaned up the room when they knew there’re flies inside (which is occasional).

No, everything is perfect.

A creative and efficient layout of a spacious room. Large deck is accessed by double doors and had a stunning view of the Matterhorn. The room was well kept and looked like new. Staff was attentive and asked for feedback throughout my stay. This hotel sets itself apart by paying attention to the smallest details. The best value of all the hotels in my 3 week vacation in Europe.
