Great location just a short walk into town and to the lake front. Laundry facilities on property. Friendly and helpful staff.

Te Anau is the gateway to the Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound and thus many tours start and end here which is a positive, however, we found that the small town filled up quickly in the early evening as tours were coming back. Strongly advise to make your dinner reservations one or two days ahead so you avoid disappointment if you just walk up to a restaurant the day of and they are full.

Very clean, comfortable bed and good location. While only the lower rooms had outside chair and table we were able to use nice area around the motel for sitting as a group of 4.

Unfortunately it was very tight space. That would have been ok if we were just sleeping there but as we were hiking, needing to leave early trying to prepare sandwiches and have a quick breakfast it was uncomfortably tight moving sideways to maneuver past each other

Clean, comfortable and warm room ( we travelled in August). 5 minute walk from the town via a cut through the park and a very short walk to the front. Both perfect for most of the trips. The loveliest team who made us feel so welcome. The heating was put on before we arrived so the room was warm and was also very kindly put back on before our return back from our day trip.

Fabulous view from the apartment window. Very clean and comfortable.

Unfortunately there were workman in the roof of the apartment on the first morning there who were very noisy from 9.30 for the rest of the day. They were jet washing debris from the roof at one point which was landing on our balcony! We were not warned about this which could have led to very nasty consequences had we gone on to the balcony at this time. A safety warning would have been appreciated!

There were no net curtains on the ground floor room we had, which meant being in the dark when sitting in the room as people could see straight in The King deluxe room was smaller than anticipated

the person at the reception was really helpful with getting our bookings for our excursions in the day. Did it all on the spot, really knowledgable and helpful with getting things around. The location is fantastic as it is smack right in the middle of the town centre, you can basically walk your way to anywhere around town from the hotel.

The location was perfect for Milford Sound. Michael was so helpful and we enjoyed the walks he recommended. It was also great to chat to Carlene and the tips we got from speaking to them both were invaluable. We have stayed at a couple of Bella Visa hotels and we both agreed this was the best. Thank you.

A lovely friendly, cheerful welcome from the staff after a long drive. Having the superior queen room was a Blessing, both with the spa bath and being on the ground floor. The room was fresh, spacious, clean and well appointed. Parking in front of or nearby the unit. Bella Vista is situated within easy reach of eateries and shops and the lake area. Also it is a good midway point from Queenstown, if going to Milford Sound or heading Sth, as I did to Invercargill and the Southlands area. Very friendly and helpful staff upon check as well. I thoroughly recommend Bella Vista and look forward to staying there on future trips to the South.

Other guests asked us to move our car from the disabled bay because they wanted to use as it was in front of their room, so we did, even tho we had a disability parking permit - then they never used the spot

From the warm welcome at check-in to the immaculate room and the delightful housekeeper, every aspect of our stay was exceptional. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the housekeeper went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their friendliness and attention to detail truly made our stay memorable. A definite asset to the establishment!
