I am going to a hike for a few days and will be back and stay for another night. I didn't make a prior arrangement for luggage storage for a few days. I managed to contact a staff by phone and he agreed to hold it till I come back. So I was relieved. Thanks.

There was no staff at the reception during office hours. I had no local sim to ring for luggage storage arrangement. I was stressed. It will be good to have whatsapp phone call available as another contact option.

It was reasonably good value for money compared to other motels in Te Anau. Fresh towels were supplied every day. I would describe it as a fairly average motel; nothing fancy but adequately equipped, clean and fairly comfortable.

Couldn't get any TV channels other than Netflix and YouTube. The office was always closed by 3 pm (and sooner) so there was never a chance to make enquiry with staff at any stage during my arrival or for the 3 nights I was there.

It was easy to find, near the lake and close to the town centre. It was quiet. It is a dated motel but it had everything we needed, including adequate cooking utensils and a good food preparation area. We stayed for three nights and were very comfortable. Our towels were replaced each day. We would be happy to stay again.

Our booking with Alpenhorn Motel was upgraded to The Village Inn. Upon arrival, staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was a short walk to the waterfront and centre of town. Our room was large, clean, and with great air-conditioning, a kitchen, and newly renovated bathroom. The TV had streaming services and the WiFi was great. We stayed very comfortably with our toddler and a cot with extra bedding and towels were provided. Dinner at the Glow Worm Restaurant was absolutely delicious with really fresh ingredients and great service. Easily one of the best places we stayed in weeks, especially while travelling with a little kid.

Our apartment was quite large ( Family apartment ) only 2 of us.. We had small lawn in front plus Table and chairs at the back. Each apartment had a parking spot. So very happy for the two of us.

No full time staff available. When you arrive, envelope stuck on office window with your name and key inside. Lady who does the cleaning daily quite cheerful when you get to know her.. A bit lacking in the cooking department The oven grill did not work.

The location is good. Near to the stargazing area as well as the eatery place. Hot water is available and stable for 3 ppl to use. Car parks are available just in front of them. The staff can speak Mandarin and Cantonese, a helpful guy indeed. Worth to stay at here.

The back yard sliding door has no key to open from the outside. Only allow for light cooking.

Location is great. Just a couple minutes walk down to the Lake and about 10 minute walk into town I found the unit more spacious than I expected so that was great. This an older building with well worn carpet. But comfortable and good value for the price I paid.

Dripping tap at kitchen sink. Just a bit annoying.

Great location, short walk to lake and shops. The place is old and looks slightly dated but it’s super comfortable and clean. Large kitchen and living room area. Brand new modern bathroom. All for an amazingly cheap price. Check it was easy, key was left at reception for us.

The room was spacious, kitchen facilities were more than we expected, everywhere was clean, and location was very good

We had a 2 night stay here and on every occasion we were on site the reception was closed so saw no one! Even on checkout, which wasn't a problem but just unusual.

Parking directly in front of room. Nice large clean room. Good wifi. Good hot water. Very nice little kitchen area. Queen size bed. Very small hotel, I believe a total of 7 rooms. I would return if I were in the area again. Nothing around the hotel, you need a car to really get anywhere.

Check-in was a little crazy, but I did get my keys. everything worked out.
