We really enjoyed the Southern hospitality from these hosts. We gathered as a family, travelling from across the country. My sister and I booked rooms for all. We had a really good mix of rooms to suit our group of 17 and it was really good value. They are generous sized spaces. There are cooking facilities in the rooms which is handy, and probably the best stocked I’ve stayed in…they even had the extras like a pair of scissors, paper towels, salt and pepper. It’s a handy location, with good parking. The rooms are well set up with good seating options. Good (firm) beds and good pillows. Good showers. I’d happily stay in any of the rooms on this motel again and it works really well for a big group.

Absolutely perfect in every way. My wife and I stayed in the newer suite looking out at the mountains. Robin the manager was outstanding and helpful in every way. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again

The ground floor room was spacious with its own ensuite, kitchenette and a very nice meal area in front of a bay window. We were at the front of the accommodation with a number of windows so the room felt open and inviting. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean and tidy. The manager was really helpful and attentive. The motel was in a quiet area opposite part of the lake, with its own free parking. We didn't really have a view but that was not an issue as we were close to everything via a quick drive or walk.
The decor is very dated so that could be freshened up to make the room more appealing.

We wanted a room where we could cater for ourselves. The kitchenette was fairly well appointed and there was a good sized table and chairs. We really loved the bathtub and hot water which was perfect after our hiking. Our bed was large and comfortable and the heating made the room cosy and warm. This place would be perfect for anyone walking the Kepler track.
We were pleased that our hire car just fitted into the car space, but anyone with a larger vehicle would need to park on the road out front. If you like quiet rooms, you should request somewhere back away from the road.

The room was spacious and quite modern; USB/power outlets on either side of the beds. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was well-lit and there was even a nightlight in there for any nighttime goers. The location was great, right across the street from the beautiful Lake Te Anau. And anything you else could want isn’t too far from where you are.
The only qualm I have is that I would have liked to have conditioner included in the toiletries provided in the bathroom, conditioning shampoo doesn’t quite do the job after being wind-whipped through Milford Sound.

Robin was absolutely great at reception. Welcoming, friendly, accommodating . . . a lovely experience. He made sure we had everything we needed and provided a guided "tour' of our room on arrival, explaining where everything was and how it worked. We travelled by motorcycle, and Robin provided us with a room with parking under cover - excellent.
The room got quite hot during the day as the sun streamed directly into it throught the glass doors. Even closing the curtains didn't stop the heat buildup. Closing the doors and putting on the air conditioning helped slightly, but the unit was a little under powered for the room size IMHO. The motel is right at the end of the main lake-front, and so is about 15-20 minutes stroll to the main town centre.

We stayed at a wheelchair accessible one bedroom unit in order to get two separate beds. Both of the beds were comfortable and warm. Bathroom sink had enough space to place toiletries. Shower pressure was very powerful and plenty of hot water. Kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. It was clean and comfortable and location is right outside of the lake. I also liked our dedicated parking spot right outside our unit. The manager was so helpful with planning our trip and was flexible with our check in outside of the check in window.
Could have more lighting and it appears dated, but this didn't bother us.

Great location on the lake. Short walk to the shops. Welcomed by Robin, who walked us to our room, explained everything. He also gave us tips re driving to Milford Sound the next morning, ( fuel up, time to leave to beat the traffic, don’t stop on the way there but the way back) Room 16 was on the ground floor at the back of the 4 year old new part of the motel, fronting the back street. Very well equipped, spotless, spacious.Hot plates and microwave . Wifi. Outdoor table and chairs, afternoon sun
Only downfall was no smart tv. Should have taken my Amazon Firestick

- Great location across from the lake but still close to town - Staff was helpful, including asking about our plans, providing advice on Milford Sound, and offering milk and chocolates upon check in. Corresponding with staff before our stay was easy too, including a plan to check in after the office closed if needed. - The apartment was clean, with a good shower, heat in the bathroom, and a dedicated parking spot. This was definitely one of the best places that we stayed in during our trip to New Zealand.
- A small bottle of cooking oil in the apartment would have been helpful.

Highly recommend this place to all. We loved this place. We found it so cosy, spacious and the room was very well accomodating with all cooking and washing needs. Car parking was easily accessible. We were a late checkin so they heated our room prior to arrival and easy instuctions to find the place which was so very welcoming and they assisted with wonderful cot set and cute bedding for our little one. The service here is impeccable. We are excited to come here again in the near future. Many thanks again for having us. Donna and Mark :)
