Thank you very much, the hospitality was great. The location is excellent, the room is lovely, clean, with a pleasant smell, well equipped and tidy including the kitchen and the bathroom. The kitchen utensils, towels and linens are clean. The laundry is clean, cozy and pampering. We really enjoyed the place, the service at the reception and the room service. Two things that are important to improve. Thank you very much for the hospitality. We highly recommend staying there.
: There was no Wi-Fi in our room at all, and the stove in the kitchen is very weak. You can only use one plate and it is not strong to cook

Very cute and lovely place. Saw quite a big range of types of accommodation so you just need to pick what suits you. Location is just out the edge of the town centre, quiet and peaceful. You could take a stroll along the lake towards the town centre or a 5 minute drive. Check in and out process was breezy. Huge place so they'll give you a map and instructions. Cabin for 1 was spacious and clean, no problem opening 2 luggages in it. Even had space for a sofa chair and cupboards and racks for you to hang your coats/clothes. Comfortable bed and linen. Common showers and toilets were always clean. The shared kitchen was also clean. Everyone was very good at keeping it tidy. There are no common utensils so you'll have to bring your own. Dishwashing liquid and scrubs were provided. There is also equipment like kettles, microwaves, ovens and i think a flat cooktop for cooking. Big fridge and freezers for common usage as well. You just have to label your stuff. Pretty safe. Parking was ample, just a few steps up to the cabins. No issues bringing to and fro big luggages.

Our individual studio looked a bit shabby initially, but the king bed was very new, with cotton sheets, very comfy, and the kitchenette was perfect for our needs - it was missing a can opener but I went to reception to ask if I could borrow one, and was given one to leave in the drawer as it should have come as standard. We liked sitting out on the deck - very private. At night it was really quiet. And it was a pleasant walk into town, which was really busy, and also easy to get to the Bird Sanctuary, too. The manager, Nakul, was excellent, as were the staff.
When we first arrived the studio smelled strongly of disinfectant. The manager was extremely helpful, booking us into a different unit for the next night (there was no other vacancy on that first night), but after we had opened the windows and door all afternoon the smell reduced significantly, so we decided to stay put.

I initially booked a single room with shared bathroom and kitchen. It was unacceptable (see remarks in things I didn’t like). So - I asked the front desk if they could move me to a private room with ensuite bath. They did have one available and were very easy/pleasant to work with. They got me into the private motel room and that was very well cared for, clean, comfortable.
In the initial single room: When I walked into it, it was *not* clean. It was actually gross, with pieces of food on the very old, stained and thin carpet. Furniture was significantly beat up, etc. In the private room w/ ensuite bath: It was great. No problems. Although it was VERY expensive!!! For my 2nd night, I stayed elsewhere in town due to the high cost of staying here.

This is located in a stunning position right opposite lake Te Anau. The cabin was spotless and well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable and the surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful.
There was limited places to eat or buy a range of provisions on site. It was close enough to the town but out of hours it would have been useful to have access to some snacks or essentials. Also the walls were paper thin, which was not a problem most of the time apart from one night when I could hear the neighbour snoring through the wall. Apparently he could also hear me coughing. As I said, it was not a major issue.

The set up was efficient and everything ran smoothly. The set up was good for all types of campers to use the shared facilities, like the kitchen, lounge and bathrooms. There were many of these and they were all well-equipped.
To reduce noise, the doors along the halls need to be oiled. You can hear people using the corridor early in the morning. Better curtains were needed in the Chalky dormitory (Venetian blinds let in the car park light). Also, we booked 2 rooms, but were placed in separate dormitory buildings, which was a little inconvenient when sharing things like toiletry items. Also not the best place for couples.

Our camp site had shade and was close enough to the amenities for cooking and showering. There were many options for camping so we could choose a site far from young families and groups of people. I really liked the free showers, the soap being included in the washing machines and the clean kitchens.
I got caught out with a washing machine that was $6 instead of $4 for a cycle and there was no refund option. It was frustrating to have the staff not help refund from one machine so I could use the correct one. The prices were small on the machines and I hadn't noticed as they were side by side and the same size.

It’s such a great location right across from the lake and a nice distance for us to bike/walk into town as a wee activity! Love the vibe.
Facilities are great however being our 3rd year in a row we really noticed a decline in the cleanliness (although we did mention that guests seemed to be less hygienic this year too) could hear others discussing it in bathrooms too. The first year the toilets and showers were spotless! But this year they always smelt funny, marks on walls weren’t cleaned off for days etc. bit disappointing but we could live with it.

Just about everything about this truly mountain lodge/caravan park is great. Beautiful, well-maintained grounds with lake views, spacious cabins and a wonderful location. Very comfortable bed in the cabin, well ventilated and a great functional heater. There common area is very clean too, albeit basic.
The lack of wifi throughout the property is definitely a negative factor these days. They offer wifi but only limited to the kitchen/common area, which is really not up to modern standards at all. They offer wifi total lack of basic kitchen utensils also leaves a negative impression. Some spoons and knives wouldn’t be a huge cost.

Property is in a great location and a good base generally in which to discover the fjordlands. Room was a good size and include some nice storage spaces. Kitchen was a good size too and always somewhere to wash and cook.
The staff. My lord. Obviously volunteers, but still. I’m not sure a single smile or warm greeting ushered forth from any of their personas the whole time I was there. I’m not talking one or 2…ALL. You’re in paradise. Look like you’re enjoying it or go back to your respective colleges/universities. Hopefully hospitality isn’t your major.
