The accommodation is a block of studio apartments built inside the grounds of a caravan / campervan / camping site. The apartments were in good condition, comfortable, sunny most of the day, had balconies overlooking the lake & had a great view of the lake. There are at least 3 self-service laundries in the complex.

We had a few minor issues eg. limited cutlery (eg. one 1 knife .. a very large carving knife) & flaky wifi. My wife's main gripe was that the accommodation cost over NZ$250 a night & was described by the operator as 5 star but there was no service apart from replacement of towels (if this was requested). Hence, no room service, no replacement of shampoo, etc. Some people may not like the fact that you have to drive 200mtrs past huts & campervans to get to the apartment. Also, if you don't have a car, the location is approx 15 minutes walk from cafes, restaurants & shops ... although the resort sells decent coffee plus packaged sweets.

Had to wash some of the pots/pans before we could cook as they were dirty. We didn’t ask the room to be serviced in the first few days but when we did hang the card out for the service it was ignored so we had to wait another day

The room was a great size, nice and big with a beautiful view of the lake. We actually liked the view better than that of the places closer to town. It’s a little bit of a walk to town but we knew this and were fine with it. Worth it in my opinion. The staff were also so helpful in arranging to have some items I left in the room sent to me after we left.

Such a beautiful view from our room, so beautiful to see the weather changing and the mountains. The bathroom was a good size, we had room for our bags and it was all very clean.

The kitchen was a bit small - just not much space to store anything. It would be nice to have more than exactly three cups, bowls etc.

The location - looking down lake Te Anau was beautiful in the mornings. Being a little away from the rest of the camp ground was good, as it felt like it's own world at our end of the property.

It is a little walk to the town centre. The shower was a bit hospital like but needs must.

Motel looks & feels new, located at Te Anau lake front. View from unit 11 (upper level) was absolutely fabulous! The 2 bedroom unit can easily accomodate 5 based on bedding configuration, shared area is spacious, unit was super clean & has a kitchehette. Check in was efficient. Parking is plentily available as the ground is also used for camping & motor vans

Shared laundry facility. Would have thought the deluxe family room can be equipped with washing machine & dryer Bedrooms can get chilly at night. No electric bedwarmers 😔

Incredible view, lovely linens, comfortable bed, clean and well equipped nicely decorated room. Great value for the view and nice large room. The motel is located at end of the lake and is an easy walk into town.

Immaculate property with show stopping views. everything really well appointed and spotlessly clean. very spacious. staff were super friendly and helpful.

The tiny rough towels, cheap toilet paper and budget toiletries are not consistent with advertising for a 5 star property. The caravan park amenity offerings shouldn’t be used in this component of the facility. The finishing touches do need more careful consideration.

Gorgeous view, nice and quiet. This was a great place to stay

The bed was way too firm for my liking. Instructions on how to use the induction hot plate would be good it took a while to work it out. Some better utensils would be good

Location was excellent and the views across the lake was lovely to see. The room was laid out very nicely and worked well for our group sharing the room.

Nothing I can remember that stuck out as a negative.
