The two room arrangement with a bed in a bedroom and another bed in the front room with the kitchenette worked out well for us. The two rooms were spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The laundry facilities were excellent. The location is a short walk from a park and public beach. The managers were always on site and pleasant and helpful. Fiordland is stunningly beautiful and the best part of our trip. The RealNZ Milford Sound trip and the Lake Te Anau Discovery Cruise were both fabulous.

The outdoor grill was grimy and not well maintained. The location is only a couple of blocks from the town center but they are surprisingly long blocks and the walk is pretty hot without much shade. The area has few good restaurants and they are fully booked well in advance.

We had a great stay at the Arran. It seemed a little bit far during our initial walk from the bus stop with our luggage, but we discovered a short cut when leaving town that made it easy. Walking from the Arran to the center of town without luggage was a breeze. The property is owned by a terrific family who were warm and welcoming. Our room was very spacious (huge living room with kitchen, separate bedroom and very nice sunny bathroom. The wi-fi worked great, bed was comfortable, shower was awesome and there is a laundry room on site which came in handy. Overall, we had a great stay.

Nothing to dislike

Greeted by a very friendly host who showed me to the room. The motel room, 2 bedroom had been recently renovated and was well presented. The motel staff were very fastidious at cleaning having observed them from afar cleaning some motel rooms. All of the staff were helpful and suggested a great travel route to take for our onward ventures. Onsite laundry was handy and took advantage of it during a rainy day. Heating within the room was excellent and the unit which was situated in the lounge space easily maintained a comfortable temperature through the 2 bedrooms.

Cooking facilities were great and the kitchenette was well equipped but the exhaust fan does little to manage cooking fumes, smells. Opening the sliding door helped with this though.

Comfortable motel with good amenities and really friendly helpful staff. Walkable to waterfront and town. We were able to be picked up directly by our tour company for our trip to Milford Sound which was super convenient. Laundry facilities were a big plus for us!

Wifi was a bit spotty (fine for me, but my husband had a hard time taking some video calls for work). The room did get hot in the afternoon, but we figured out how to cool down with the provided fans. Neither of these issues would keep me from staying here in the future

Everything was above expectations from the time we arrived beautifully presented unit was very clean, with plenty of space, and comfortable beds. We have been doing our Winter Photography Trips for just 30 years and this stay surpasses all other stays with excellent Hosts Mel & Mark who helped us with where to go, and what the conditions were like on Milford Road which was very much appreciated being Southlanders what else would you expect? Each day arriving back the unit was fully serviced and spotless a very memorable stay. 10/10

Everything was perfect, NO complaints.

Friendly and courteous staff, clean facilities, washer and dryer access (for fee) was very helpful for us. Location was quiet and it was nice to have management on location in case of noisy neighbors or other problems that might arise.

Our bathroom sink was stained (looked like water stains) and had separate hot and cold faucets. Manager said they were replacing sinks as they could. The separate faucets made washing hands and brushing teeth awkward (one faucet had freezing cold water while the other had burning hot water). Shower seemed to need some scrubbing with bleach to remove some discoloration in the corners, perhaps these are water stains too.

Staff were great, easy parking, walkable distance to town, lovely new clean carpet and bedding .

For a 2 bed apartment it would have been great to have two smaller en-suites rather than just one bathroom and toilet. Splitting the existing bathroom in half would have achieved the capability to have two toilets. One in the bathroom is difficult when two couples stay together. We coped but it was a tad awkward at times.

The room was perfect for what we needed and it was lovely to find that they had left milk for us in the room. We originally were supposed to stay two nights but had to change our booking very last minute due to issues with our flight. Mel and Mark were incredibly accommodating and made everything really easy. I'd highly recommend this place if you're exploring Te Anau and the surrounding area!

The room was large, clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed. The location was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I wish I could give this motel only high marks but unfortunately the Queen bed was much too soft for our taste. One of us was able to use the single bed so we got a good night’s sleep all the same. That was the only flaw in our experience.

Great stay, convinient sleeping, friendly staff and housekeeping. The room has a good size, the bathroom is good, the beds are perfect for a relaxing sleep. The amendments for breakfast are as expected, so having a coffee, toast and whatever you purchase on the toast was very sufficient for me. The town is within short walking distance and I will return again

I used the laundry, which was first occupied for washing bedware from the Hotel, so I had to wait. Nothing major
