Beautiful clean warm spacious rooms and only a stones throw away from the lake Comfortable bed and well equipped with all the essentials. the room and facilities were absolutely spotless.very welcoming staff and a friendly atmosphere. Such great value for money. Location is great and you're within a coyole of mins to the township for everything you need. This place will definitely be a highly recommend stay to anyone visiting mikford sounds and wanting to split the trip over two days.! Great views from the room #10 and the laundry not far away to walk and catch up on 3 weeks of travel. Comfort bed and linen, pillows with 2 would be better. Kitchen handy for breakfast and keeping the takeaway dinner warm one night. Reception very helpful in defrosting fridge that was frozen over on arrival. Perfect location for the Historic “Faith” sailing boat cruise. The best value and experience you will ever have.

All was good, but main lounge TV didn’t hold channel search. I’m sure reception would have fixed if we asked, but bedroom had one anyway.

The accommodation is a block of studio apartments built inside the grounds of a caravan / campervan / camping site. The apartments were in good condition, comfortable, sunny most of the day, had balconies overlooking the lake & had a great view of the lake. There are at least 3 self-service laundries in the complex.

We had a few minor issues eg. limited cutlery (eg. one 1 knife .. a very large carving knife) & flaky wifi. My wife's main gripe was that the accommodation cost over NZ$250 a night & was described by the operator as 5 star but there was no service apart from replacement of towels (if this was requested). Hence, no room service, no replacement of shampoo, etc. Some people may not like the fact that you have to drive 200mtrs past huts & campervans to get to the apartment. Also, if you don't have a car, the location is approx 15 minutes walk from cafes, restaurants & shops ... although the resort sells decent coffee plus packaged sweets.

Had to wash some of the pots/pans before we could cook as they were dirty. We didn’t ask the room to be serviced in the first few days but when we did hang the card out for the service it was ignored so we had to wait another day

Amazing view of the lake, quiet location just outside of the main strip of hotels. We got upgraded to a suite and the room was beautiful and spacious. Heating in all rooms (even the bathroom) and full kitchen. Our favourite accomodation of our trip!

Tv in the bedroom wasn’t connected, but wasn’t a big deal so we didn’t report it to reception.

Great view of the lake, close to town. We were Upgraded to an apartment which was great, large rooms and very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. Plenty parking and close to our apartment

New towels were delivered after our first night but old towels were not taken, beds were not remade or rubbish removed from bins.

Good distance for us to get our walk in before and after meals, about 1.2km out of town with a scenic walkway next to the lake ! Clean and comfortable, we were upgraded to the 2 bedroom flat, Unit 4, beautiful view of the lake !

Noisy, as the main road to Manapouri goes in front of this Motel

The room was a great size, nice and big with a beautiful view of the lake. We actually liked the view better than that of the places closer to town. It’s a little bit of a walk to town but we knew this and were fine with it. Worth it in my opinion. The staff were also so helpful in arranging to have some items I left in the room sent to me after we left.

Such a beautiful view from our room, so beautiful to see the weather changing and the mountains. The bathroom was a good size, we had room for our bags and it was all very clean.

The kitchen was a bit small - just not much space to store anything. It would be nice to have more than exactly three cups, bowls etc.

The location - looking down lake Te Anau was beautiful in the mornings. Being a little away from the rest of the camp ground was good, as it felt like it's own world at our end of the property.

It is a little walk to the town centre. The shower was a bit hospital like but needs must.
