We had a nice 5 night stay! We used all the facilities including restaurant, spa area, treatments and fitness center. Everything was nicely arranged for us. Our children of 11 and 13 years old could use the SPA which was the main reason why we chose this hotel. Massages were nice (got birthday month discount). Breakfast buffet is rich and tasty with a variety of local specialties. We enjoyed something new every time :) Location is excellent. Perfect to explore the old town and other areas of central Riga. Very friendly staff, ready to accomodate any request.

The spa is open to people from outside the hotel, so it gets quite crowded in the evenings. On one hand it's understandable, because the economy in Latvia has seen better days. On the other hand the experience feels "less than 5-star" when the spa is packed with people who are not guests of the hotel. We had a nice stay overall but the spa was the least pleasant part. We missed some other attributes of 5-star experience (room turn-down in the evenings, coffee service and eggs made to order at breakfast, late night cocktail bar). I suppose those "extras" were also cut due to cost savings, but the appropriate rating is 4-star. Perhaps good to know when you compare prices before you book your stay.

Things we appreciated in our stay at the hotel: + The view from our room to the park was neat and atmospheric. + Breakfast was phenomenal + Staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. + Hotel Bar was serving the best drinks in town Spa was ok, but some of the saunas were a bit lost of their purpose. But that is just my Finnish opinion about them.

Some little things is the SPA section weren't in the same level as the hotel. That was a minor disappointment in an excellent hotel experience.

The hotel had a pleasant small spa and enjoyable breakfast options. However, the breakfast had not the best gluten free options. However, the hotels prime location added to its appeal.

The five-star hotel unexpectedly presented a few issues. Notably, the staff lacked friendliness, the spa had dangerously slippery floors, and the rooms suffered from poor air flow. Additionally, the room's window faced other rooms, necessitating the closure of curtains for privacy most of the time.

Just a couple of minor things, that didn't really leave a memory: bathroom door didn't close nicely and couldn't find AC control initially (it was behind the TV on the wall)

Booking.com stated parking was available, only options was street parking, private car park or valet service by hotel. No free parking, it should state on Booking.com that parking was not included, I would have selected a different hotel with free parking and breakfast included for the same price. Staff told us we could park at the front door while we u pack and settle in the room. Then other staffed complained to use for parking outside. Staff gave us a box of toys to take to the room for our child to play with, then other staff complained for us taking the box and that we should have only taken one toy from the box. The swimming pool water temperature was quite cold, they need to turn the temperature up a bit.

The hotel is very well designed. The breakfast is very nice and with a lot of options. For the ones that like fancy morning drinks: you have non-dairy milk including coconut and syrup. No need for Starbucks. The room for the breakfast is also greatly designed. The bath was very nice as well, the deepest I have seen. The staff were very welcoming both at the reception and at the breakfast. They set up a nice option to make the planet greener: to motivate guests, if you don’t want your room to be cleaned, you get credit to use on the mini-bar. The hotel is just in front of the canal and the main park. It’s 15 min walking distance to the largest market in Europe. Last but not least, there is a salt room in the spa.

The hotel is in a great location, with lovely views across the park. The rooms are spacious and the reception gives good service. The bathroom is nice and the hotel is not run down. The breakfast has a lot of choice. Lots of people complain in the reviews about the spa. It’s absolutely huge - I visited during cold months so it was in use a lot but never too busy. It doesn’t have loungers, the focus is on several large rooms like saunas and steam rooms. There is also a pool big enough to swim properly in. I had a massage and it was incredible.

The beds are not comfortable, they are extremely hard. The breakfast is really busy - you aren’t seated, just have to find your own space. The bar is really expensive and the service isn’t very friendly in there. They also show sport on screens which for a hotel with a luxury feel doesn’t feel good to me. We paid a different price tariff for the spa to be included, but it’s included in the price anyway, so don’t do this

Exceptional hotel, classy and comfortable, opposite beautiful park. Excellent breakfast buffet, excellent choice and variety. Gorgeous bed and large rooms, luxurious bedding. Quiet at night, excellent soundproofing.

The staff are somewhat reserved and aloof, I would prefer a more friendly attitude. My bathroom had a hair in the shower when I arrived, and had not been perfectly cleaned which was very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. I noticed it at night and it was too late to call reception to deal with it. Did not make a fuss but not ideal.

1) In top rooms, towels should be completely different in size and material. Now towels look like hostel level. 2) st. Valentine day restaurant reservations were prioritized to non hotel guests. So people who stayed in the most expensive rooms can not use them restaurant. Completely stupid situation. 3) The front desk doesn't want to speak on guest language, whitching a local one. 4) Hotel management should pay strong attention to the client team, which was not oriented to solve client requests

The location is perfect - you’re in the middle of the city, but you easily reach the airport and back! The spa is great, even though it’s quite small and can get crammed at times. The breakfast is very diverse and always fresh. Plus a great chance to start on a glass of Prosecco in the morning. The room setup was perfect, with an awesome shower room - you can choose if you want a shower or a bath tub. A very eco friendly hotel, that incentivises people to not clean the room daily. They offer a great late check out option, just ask them - they are more than happy to help. They also serve great cocktails at their restaurant downstairs.

Even though the bed was great at first, the mattress was a bit too firm for our taste. The breakfast area gets very busy at about 9:30 - you can hardly find a space.
