The hotel is lovely and friendly, the spa facilities are great, all really clean too..the only downside is the amount of children's swimming lessons that happen over the weekend so if you want a quiet swim or Jacuzzi, you won't get it. Rooms are large, clean and warm. The beds are so comfy. The bathrooms are a decent size and clean. Location for Cardiff centre is ideal as the train station is a short 15 min walk and regular trains into the centre.
The queues at the bar! Only 2 people taking orders, they are so good but it's quite slow. I'm surprised they don't offer order food from your table with an app. This would massively help with the bar queues. But I can see why this would potentially cause issues particularly when staying at the hotel and someone putting in the wrong room number but I'm sure something could be set up where you would need to confirm a DOB or the like for the person who has booked the room.

We were located in the newest part of the hotel, our room was fantastic and breakfast was good, the whole atmosphere was very good.
Unfortunately the evening meals we had left alot to be desired, on one occasion we had fish and chips, the batter was like rubber and the chips were lukewarm, my son went to the bar, got a drink, scanned his card and returned to our table only to be followed by a member of the bar staff shouting 'you havent paid, you havent paid', very embarrasing, the whole bar were now looking, my son checked his banking app only to find the payment had been taken, the staff member just turned and walked away without even an opology. unfortunately we didnt catch his name.

Staff on reception were so warm and lovely especially one lady who allowed us to put our bags away when we came early. Facilities were brilliant- pool, steam room and sauna and towels are provided. Starbucks and bar and restaurant are in the hotel so amazing for when you wake up or need something quick. Room was spacious as we had 4 people in the room and very clean. Would definitely recommend! Uber was around 15 minutes to city centre
Only slight negative is not within walking distance to the city centre but the uber was about 15 pound.

Great location .The beds were the best I ever slept in ,in a hotel . Breakfast good choice xx Staff amazing, deserve a medal especially dealing with so many events ,not enough of them .
The timing for breakfast, finishing at 9am!!! People are on holiday ! The staff run off their feet and not allowed a trolley to help them clear the tables that lazy people don't clear themselves. Carrying lots of pots is more of a hazard xx This hotel and facilities are great but get a grip on how you manage the bar and food .

I was working close by for my visit so the location was absolutely perfect. My room was perfect. Very clean and comfortable bed so great sleep and excellent bathroom. Restaurant served great food. Not cheap but very well prepared and great table service. Very extensive fitness and spa facilities which is open to the public as well as guests. The hotel also sports its very own Starbucks coffee shop too.
Car park was extremely busy and some MOP have no idea how to park correctly so getting a decent spot was a lottery.

The pub and grill is excellent, slightly pricey but the staff (particularly Christian) were all lovely and the food is absolutely delicious. All staff at the hotel are beyond fantastic, from the front of house to the maintenance, they are all super helpful and friendly. The gym and pool are exceptionally good (and a great way to burn off all the over indulging at the bar!)
I contacted ahead of our stay to say we were coming to celebrate my Husbands 40th birthday. Whilst I wasn’t expecting anything extra we were left very disappointed with our room. Our view was a brick wall and our headboard was absolutely filthy.

The buffet breakfast was a bit cold. The drink list was pricey for our budget. The breakfast staff were super efficient, friendly and co-operative. The reception staff were helpful. The pool area, the sauna and jacuzzi was clean. The family changing rooms were a bit small. The room we stayed in was spotless, there was plenty of space for a family of four and the beds were comfortable. Location was good for us to explore different parts of Cardiff. It was easy to drive home west onto the M4 motorway.

Easy parking. Massive car park. Good location if you want to drive into Cardiff but not stay central. Bed super comfortable. Room very nice. TV with lots of channels. Could have offered Netflix. Nice breakfast. Though the buffet area did get very messy with food splashed all over the place as people fished out their eggs / beans etc - they should have kept up with the cleaning of this area in the morning.
No proper reception desk. You log in on screens. That is not v welcoming. It’s a massive place with a health centre / gym which means it’s not just hotel guests - but there was no problem with this. The breakfast area is a sports bar at night . So noisy and nowhere to have a relaxing drink.

Breakfast was good, the food at the wedding venue was outstanding..the venue itself was outstanding ,good service and staff were friendly. We were very pleased to have an earlier booking in time on arrival and with the wife's disability a room close to the main reception and facilities.the service was outstanding....
Only down side we thought was the lack of toilet facilities in the main areas...only one to service many facilities e.g. Starbucks, main bar, the various function rooms..a lot of walking required and it is an issue to anyone with a disability problem.. One last thing was we felt that out the front area on the left for smokers a covering is needed. With the torrential rain that day no One can walk 100 yards to where apparently a shelter is based..

Th bed was amazingly comfortable the staff were all Friendly especially the gentleman that checked us in at reception very helpful and nice person in general.
The food the breakfast was I’m sorry to say absolutely vile from sloppy scrambled Eggs undercooked fried eggs that were snotty. We left the food felt bad but it really is the worst place to eat a breakfast at we were the only ones Complaining. A change of chef is badly needed as this is what caused us to score an 8 and not a 10. Another guest told us they tried the breakfast last time they stayed and it wasn’t very good then so they also wouldn’t add food to there stay. It’s a shame but we would rather walk to Asda and pay the same price for there breakfasts
