The hotel is lovely and friendly, the spa facilities are great, all really clean too..the only downside is the amount of children's swimming lessons that happen over the weekend so if you want a quiet swim or Jacuzzi, you won't get it. Rooms are large, clean and warm. The beds are so comfy. The bathrooms are a decent size and clean. Location for Cardiff centre is ideal as the train station is a short 15 min walk and regular trains into the centre.

The queues at the bar! Only 2 people taking orders, they are so good but it's quite slow. I'm surprised they don't offer order food from your table with an app. This would massively help with the bar queues. But I can see why this would potentially cause issues particularly when staying at the hotel and someone putting in the wrong room number but I'm sure something could be set up where you would need to confirm a DOB or the like for the person who has booked the room.

We were located in the newest part of the hotel, our room was fantastic and breakfast was good, the whole atmosphere was very good.

Unfortunately the evening meals we had left alot to be desired, on one occasion we had fish and chips, the batter was like rubber and the chips were lukewarm, my son went to the bar, got a drink, scanned his card and returned to our table only to be followed by a member of the bar staff shouting 'you havent paid, you havent paid', very embarrasing, the whole bar were now looking, my son checked his banking app only to find the payment had been taken, the staff member just turned and walked away without even an opology. unfortunately we didnt catch his name.

The pub and grill is excellent, slightly pricey but the staff (particularly Christian) were all lovely and the food is absolutely delicious. All staff at the hotel are beyond fantastic, from the front of house to the maintenance, they are all super helpful and friendly. The gym and pool are exceptionally good (and a great way to burn off all the over indulging at the bar!)

I contacted ahead of our stay to say we were coming to celebrate my Husbands 40th birthday. Whilst I wasn’t expecting anything extra we were left very disappointed with our room. Our view was a brick wall and our headboard was absolutely filthy.

Easy parking. Massive car park. Good location if you want to drive into Cardiff but not stay central. Bed super comfortable. Room very nice. TV with lots of channels. Could have offered Netflix. Nice breakfast. Though the buffet area did get very messy with food splashed all over the place as people fished out their eggs / beans etc - they should have kept up with the cleaning of this area in the morning.

No proper reception desk. You log in on screens. That is not v welcoming. It’s a massive place with a health centre / gym which means it’s not just hotel guests - but there was no problem with this. The breakfast area is a sports bar at night . So noisy and nowhere to have a relaxing drink.

Breakfast was good, the food at the wedding venue was outstanding..the venue itself was outstanding ,good service and staff were friendly. We were very pleased to have an earlier booking in time on arrival and with the wife's disability a room close to the main reception and facilities.the service was outstanding....

Only down side we thought was the lack of toilet facilities in the main areas...only one to service many facilities e.g. Starbucks, main bar, the various function rooms..a lot of walking required and it is an issue to anyone with a disability problem.. One last thing was we felt that out the front area on the left for smokers a covering is needed. With the torrential rain that day no One can walk 100 yards to where apparently a shelter is based..

Th bed was amazingly comfortable the staff were all Friendly especially the gentleman that checked us in at reception very helpful and nice person in general.

The food the breakfast was I’m sorry to say absolutely vile from sloppy scrambled Eggs undercooked fried eggs that were snotty. We left the food felt bad but it really is the worst place to eat a breakfast at we were the only ones Complaining. A change of chef is badly needed as this is what caused us to score an 8 and not a 10. Another guest told us they tried the breakfast last time they stayed and it wasn’t very good then so they also wouldn’t add food to there stay. It’s a shame but we would rather walk to Asda and pay the same price for there breakfasts

Good location, friendly staff, nice room, food and service was good, bar area was good, excellent service, good pricing.

At over £300+ for the room for one night very expensive courtesy of Billy Joel being in concert in Cardiff. All hotels do it for extra cash, but DO NOT OFFER ANYTHING MORE FOR RIPPING OFF THE CUSTOMER. It’s the one thing I dislike about hotel owners, is their willingness to RIP OFF THE PUBLIC. The breakfast buffet food was barely warm, good selection but just warm, even the beans. Not their fault, but no lift on Sunday morning.

Facilities were great, staff were very friendly. The free parking at weekends was much appreciated. The pool was great and we appreciated the use of goggles and floats

My only issue was no acknowledgment on arrival when staff were at the desk but not making eye contact to say ‘i’ll be with you in a minute’ whilst sorting another customer. We stood around for a while until we got a bit fed up and tried to figure out how to check in on the self serve. Other than that the staff were great when you had their attention

The setting of this huge hotel, very close to the M4, is helpful. The evening meal was much better than I expected, but the big bar rather noisy. I found the receptionist particularly helpful and sympathetic. (I was going to a funeral.) Like dinner, breakfast was better than I expected.

The bedroom had a comfortable double bed, but was fairly basic. I should have been glad of an arm-chair. The en-suite toilet/shower room was tiny. There is no way that I could have gone in there and closed the door. The carpark is large, but I had some difficulty finding a parking space.

Easy to get to, parking was ok, bed was very comfy. All you could want and more (ironing board, iron and hairdryer all in room). Also good security on door to room, extra locks.

I was disappointed in the bathroom, at first glance it looked refurbished, but the shower over the bath was damaged, the shower head pointed at the wall, and couldn't be changed. There was parts missing from shower. The bath was very slippery, I almost came a cropper when getting out.
