You will find All staff exceedingly friendly and helpful at the Playford in Adelaide; especially 'Reece' (Front Office room Manager), he is extremely helpful, hospitable, courteous, well mannered and exceptionally professional. All staff met our expectations at the Playford. A great property to spend any special occasion. Central to tram, train, bus & taxi stops. A central location for all venues. 15 minutes from airport. We highly recommend the Playford to those seeking a comfortable, upmarket prestigiously well appointment property to stay.

The playford is exceptionally located in the heart of the CDB entertainment district. The hotel is Stylish, sophisticated and classy whilst offering the comforts of home away from home. The staff offer exceptional customer service. From the moment you make your booking the customer service is second to none. The front desk staff welcome you and provide efficient, exceptional service, all staff were warm, friendly, accommodating and helpful whilst making you feel comfortable and satisfied. The hotel offers an abundance of facilities including a beautifully kept clean pool, Sauna, Spa, Gym, restaurant and Bar. I stayed in a studio apartment providing a small kitchen including a microwave and coffee machine which was a lovely addition and highly recommend for anyone staying more than one night.

There was almost nothing to dislike but if I was forced to pick one thing I would have to mention the chase lounge size was the only negative throughout my stay. As a solo traveler it was not a big issue but it would be awkward with two large occupants wanting to sit together. In saying this I should mention there was two additional single sofas to accommodate for all guests but not comfortably together. In saying this I have to clarify this would not be a deterrent from booking at the playford in the future.

The room was good, bed was comfortable and bathroom was really nice. Pool and spa was good too. Breakfast was very good as usual eggs are great.

Not enough variety of munchies in the mini bar. $15 block of "artisan" chocolate only just manages to get through 1 piece and threw the rest in the bin. U can never go past good old Cadbury. Pillows on bed were not great unless you like them real soft. Firm micro fibre is the best in my opinion. The only other critique would be the tomato sauce for breakfast. It was some fancy stuff that had a very strong tangy taste that I wasn't a fan of. Old fashioned Heinz or Rosella for me.

Beautiful high design hotel - easily the prettiest available in Adelaide. From the bespoke panelled walls in Luma (the hotel restaurant) to the exceptional tonal colour matching in the spacious suites, The Playford is a stone cold stunner. I stayed for eight nights in the Junior Suite with spa bath which was particularly comfortable. The spa bath was excellent - I want one in my house now! Lovely Frette bath robes compliment the experience... it was hard to not sneak one into my luggage. I. want. one. The staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive. Brooke at the front desk and Olga in the restaurant were particularly bright and bubbly and Bonika was so helpful printing my flight confirmation for me before departure. The pan-fried gnocchi from Luma made for one of the best room service experiences I've ever had. Overall The Playford MGallery is now my hotel of choice in Adelaide. An excellent five star boutique hotel.

Could do with luggage racks in the rooms. I don't like putting my luggage on the floor or worse on the dining table. There's nothing else to complain about... just need to write more than two sentences.

Booked a two night city stay at Playford for our 15th wedding Anniversary, in the Junior suite, got upgraded to a beautiful balcony room overlooking North tce, plus surprise wine and chocolate in our room. Room was gorgeous, clean and comfy, spa bath was Amazing (fit 2 people), bed clean and wonderful to sleep in. Fancy Coffee machine in room, beaut minibar, Robes, complimentary water, slippers and all working facilities. Just remember to shut balcony door and then your aircon will work. 😉 Gorgeous pool, spa and gym (open 24hours)and the sauna was so hot, pool towels and lockers provided. This place has thought of everything. Railway, casino, museums, library, Rundle mall close by. Continental breakfast and buffet breakfast offered from $32-$42, Lumo Cafe is a lovely place to sink a few cocktails or have a meal. We even stored our bags after checkout for free so we could enjoy the city a bit longer. All Staff friendly and amazing 👏 Thank you for a wonderful stay

Parking a tad expensive if you have a car, $30 a day but in saying that, have seen other hotels more expensive.

All was fabulous. The staff are able to give advice about getting around town and where to eat recommendations.

A la carte breakfast unavailable on Sunday. I enquired about catching a tram on the Sunday, I was given relevant information, except when I got to tram stop no trams in Adelaide were operating. This was a scheduled break in services. I feel this information should have been known to hotel staff. I then had to ask a police officer for alternatives on getting to my destination. 😊

The staff were friendly & helpful. I was lucky to be upgraded to a suite which was perfect for business travel - a natural light filled living area for work/meetings separated from a dimly lit private bedroom. The spa was a treat after long days of meetings/walking. The rain shower had great pressure & the self care products were beautiful. Juliet balcony allowed circulating fresh air. A clean, comfortable, spacious, suite, & lovely touch of daily chocolates & bottled water. Luma restaurant & bar a wonderful venue for working & meeting clients. Gym/pool open 24/7. Playford is in a great location, close to public transport, restaurants, bars, & sights. Thank you to the staff for your excellent service. See you again.

The couch & chairs in the suite were uncomfortable. The bed mattress soft on one side, needs replacing. The gym/pool area felt somewhat unsafe.

A beautiful hotel. The gentleman who checked us in was lovely. He went through everything with us, even checking if we needed a late check out. He was a credit to the hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel was in a great location.

We stayed over a weekend. Its close proximity to Hindley Street meant Saturday was loud. Although this is not the hotels fault, it is linked to location, It did mean our sleep was a little up and down.

The staff were routinely excellent. Personable, helpful, knowledgeable!! The size of the bathtub was mind blowing and wonderful after a day of walking to all the attractions. Loved the proximity of the Playford to main city attractions.

The poor light & lack of view in the junior suite meant we had to pay to change to a suite with better light. The staff were very helpful, but it shouldn’t have been necessary to move from our original choice online. Also thought the suite was very bland. Some saturated colour or even artwork would be welcome.

It was our second visit to Adelaide and spent 5 nights at The Playford for a birthday celebration. The arrival treat and note in our suite was a sweet gesture. Loved the NY loft - it was spacious, luxurious and well-designed. The motion sensor lights for the stairs, towel warming rods in the bathroom and pillow menu are really cool features. Having a coffee machine, microwave and mini fridge also ticked our boxes as we love our morning coffees and fruit preps. The hotel is in a very handy location and easy access to the city attractions by tram or foot. Staff were also extremely welcoming and pleasant to deal with. During our stay, we looked forward to coming back to the suite each day.
