Staff welcoming, we was shown to our room right away and informed of anything that we needed to know. We had a lovely evening meal, the food was fresh and delicious. We had drinks at the bar later on, the atmosphere was relaxing, and we just thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The room itself is clean, comfortable, and cosy. The bed was comfortable. Little touches like coffee/tea, biscuits, and bathroom products smell incredible, I kept using the lotion and also showered with the shower cream. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will return.

There is nothing that we didn't like.

The female barmaid on the Wednesday evening was so helpful and friendly. Professional and lovely. (Didn’t get her name but when we asked, she said she is a Law student at Uni) The food was excellent too! Nice big portions! The pastry on the apple and mincemeat strudel was out of this world! All the staff were friendly and professional. Lovely atmosphere. Stunning restaurant!! The room was nice and warm!

There were a few things that needed dusting in our room - the top of the headboard, the remote control(I wiped it before using it) the hairdryer, the lamps, the wall panelling. The shower head was clogged too so once we unclogged it, there were black bits being spat out. Brown marks around the shower cubicle. The walls were very marked by the bed, could do with a repaint.

Quality venue short journey into town centre should you need to transit into Burnley, Special shoutout the the lady who was working during my stay on the 27th May. Very welcoming, polite & clearly conducts herself in the same manner daily due to her rapport with local patrons. Food menu was quality & fairly priced. Will 100% be staying again should I have to stay again for work, will also be recommending this to my colleagues should Burnley be relegated next year!

Semi rural location . Easy access to, plenty parking , good outdoor space for dogs and children, great access to walking routes . Tidy surroundings . Fantastic cooked breakfast and coffee. No cereals but we don't eat them anyway. Honestly the warm food was wholesome and healthier than cereals !!!!

Bed too small for us although for one night we still managed to sleep moderately ok as it was comfortable

Convenient location and parking. Restaurant and bar. Comfortable bed. Helpful, friendly staff.

Our ground floor room was very close to the road so earplugs were necessary. The weather was wet during our stay but there was nowhere to hang wet raincoats in our room. The wooden door to our bathroom had warped and was difficult to close. There was a strong smell of stagnant water in the corridor outside of our room .

We have just had a wonderful stop at Forest. The rooms were comfortable, cosy, and well decorated. Check-in was straight forward, and all of the staff were friendly and accommodating. It's a really lovely pub to spend some time in. We had both dinner and breakfast here. Both involved ample portions of great hearty grub with friendly service. Thanks for a great stay. We certainly hope to return.

We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and were given all of the information about our stay. Our room was lovely. Clean comfortable and warm. Bathroom was also lovely and clean. Food was also very good in the bar. Breakfast was gorgeous. We are looking to booking again in the near future.

Lovely place just away from all the busy towns and roads, but close enough for easy access to all. A friendly welcome and attention, despite being a particularly busy evening. The room was well presented, clean and a nice roomy bathroom. Surprisingly quiet in the room I was in (5).

Nothing really. A bit on the higher side with pricing, but not too bad.

Love this place, we’ve stayed here before on the way from south Wales to Harrogate, and we’ll be back next December. (Very convenient for a stop off at Boundary Mill too!) The rooms are modern and comfortable, the shower is spacious and the food is very good. We had a delicious evening meal, my husband said the beef and bone marrow burger was exceptional. Really good value and the staff are lovely too.

Not a complaint just a suggestion, that the curtains could be shorter so that they don’t obscure the radiator.

Fabulous old building and lovely atmosphere in pub with great food too. Staff were professional and helpful. Room was spacious and well decorated. Great shower!

Only small things like beds and pillows were quite hard and no hair dryer in the room but wouldn’t prevent us staying again.
