This hotel was booked for a family get together. It was a good central location and easy to get to. Food was exceptionally good and service faultless both at check in and in bar and restaurant areas. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use the spa. Room was spacious and very clean. There was a lovely outside area to sit in.

An unreasonably large deposit was required at check in though this was refunded at check out. Even so I felt this was unnecessary. We were unable to get a light lunch on the Sunday of our stay and it was also difficult to book a table for dinner so make sure you are all booked up in advance even though it removes any element of spontaneity.

Hotel is really lovely and have stayed here before so was our first choice when booking in the area again. Our room was lovely, decor modern and with a nice big shower. Our TV wasn't working but no sooner had we called Reception to report the fault we had someone come to rectify the situation. Food in Wilfred's Restaurant is fabulous. We would visit the hotel again just to have the food. Check out the menu !

Not really a moan because we love the hotel but the view out of our window wasn't that great. Perhaps more expensive rooms had a better view. It won't put us off staying here again though.

We stayed here, to attend our niece's wedding reception. The whole thing was exceptional, The doorman welcomed us in with a handshake, reception staff very professional and got through a large amount of wedding guests, all checking in at the same time, very quickly. The venue was set up beautifully, waiting staff got everybody's meals out promptly, the food to say there was a lot of covers to cope with, was fabulous and finally our bedroom was great, had everything you could need, tea/coffee, toiletries etc. a big bed and overlooking the equestrian centre. The next morning's breakfast was buffet style but had every conceivable breakfast item on there. We were even wished a good day by the cleaning staff on leaving our room! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We have stayed before and everything was as expected. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Assisted room provided with all the facilities one would expect.

Shame that one of the lifts broke down which meant long waits to go from floor to floor. Assisted toilet door light switch on the wrong side of the door or the door was fitted the wrong way round (former designer of such things). The light on the mirror was not switched independently so both the light and fan had to be on all night for the disabled person to be able to see to access the toilet facilities.

We stayed three nights in the luxury twin room. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very clean and well presented. The only thing we missed really was having a fridge in the room. We had a cooked breakfast in Wilfred's restaurant each morning and found it to be excellent. There is a (very) short walk to the spa and Bertrams restaurant but if you ask at the desk they will actually provide a lift there. The spa was fabulous and we spent a blissful 6 hours or so in there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was reasonably busy but it's such a big spa you never felt crowded at all.

The staff at Bertrams were beyond polite and helpful. I really could not fault them, the food or service. We had a lovely evening over there. The room was spotless and smelt nice on arrival, again we can't fault the room.

The hotel reception staff, not so much, felt quite hostile and not very welcoming. Not one smile, she looked fed up like she didn't want to be there. I understand Mothers day is a busy day for anyone, but a smile, even if it's fake, goes a long way. The room above us moving around all night kept waking me up. After midnight and again at 5 am

Hotel was spotless, modern. Great hotel.

Unfortunately our 3 night stay was hindered by noise from 3 consecutive weddings over the three days . The wedding parties spilled out into the main hotel bar area despite having their own weeding function room with a large bar. The noise levels from the wedding members was very uncomfortable and spoilt and prevented any chance of having a relaxing/quiet drink in the hotel residents bar area. You really could not hold a conversation due to the loud volume of wedding guests. We certainly wouldn’t book again if a wedding is booked at the same time. The hotel really needs to address this. It’s a real shame as this is a very nice hotel, with great spa & leisure facilities. I felt sorry for any Spa weekend guests as this would not have been relaxing evenings for them.

Hotel, food, & leisure facilities all good quality & value for money

Very disappointed that no spa access or treatment time’s available, as unknown to us at time of booking, same booked up 3-4 weeks in advance. Suggested to reception supervisor, that on line spa availability should be an option on website when booking; not as a separate enquiry. The crowood is marketed as a Hotel & Spa Resort; this is both misleading & is false advertising when Spa access is completely separate

Mostly the restaurant I ate there both evenings. Service and ambience was good and the food was delicious. Top marks.

After driving all the way from southern Italy I arrived hoping for an early check in but was denied. The greeting from the receptionist was really poor. She had a superior and patronising attitude, having stayed in hotels all around the world this receptionist made no attempt to enquire if any rooms were ready. I arrived at 1.30 pm. Very disappointing for a top class hotel.

Gorgeous hotel, super friendly and helpful staff, evening and breakfast meals in Wilfreds Resteraunt were outstanding cant stress enough how good the food was!! Rooms great, would have liked somewhere to sit with a mirror for getting ready (drying my hair) as had to move a chair over to a large wall mirror in the rooms 'corridor'which wasnt ideal. Use of leisure facilities included were great. Would recommend to friends and family as thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
