Stunning, tranquil setting with a very photogenic pool and peaceful private beach. The water was very clean. I loved not having to pay for beach / deck chair access (unlike many other hotels that don't have their own beach). Warm and welcoming staff were able to assist on everything to ensure the stay was smooth running. They helped me arrange a very last minute island tour which was really seamless and fun to do. Food options were plentiful, both healthy and indulgent. The room service menu was also great. I was a bit concerned by the mosquito situation but there were barely any. The spa was wonderful (you could choose for either an in-spa or beach hut massage) and the therapist herself was very skilled.

Very quiet evenings enabled restful sleep, though next time I would stay in the beach front villas so I wouldn't have upstairs neighbours. It wasn't a big issue as everyone was very respectful though makes the outdoor bathroom situation a little too cosy. The airport transfer was OK though the timings didn't perfectly coincide with the flight times, which meant waiting around in the heat before we could leave. Then people & luggage were packed very tightly into the minivan. Music at the beachside restaurant was very mainstream and repetitive. As in many resorts, the poolside deck chair availability was rather competitive..!

Ocean Bay Resort is situated just in front Of Lang Bay with direct access to the beach. You can find many sun beds both in front of the swimming pool, seaside and in the garden. Towels available in all spots. Place is very clean, it requires a lot of care and it’s visible all workers are doing their bests. Garden is just spectacular.. We stayed in jungle bungalow that was beautiful! I loved the toilet outside with huge bathtub and vintage shower. Breakfast… ahh what I can tell you, this was THE BEST breakfast buffet I have ever tried. All types of cuisines, European, Asian, American, meat, vegetarian, vegan. High quality food, Vietnamese coffee, American coffee to the table. Impossible not to mention the restaurant on the seaside- amazing quality food (for those who comments it’s expensive- yes, it is as in any good restaurant in Hanoi or big cities, you can’t compare prices in resorts to street food!). Staff is very helpful, even tho not all of them speaks English that can be quite problematic (I think working in gastronomy requires basic English conversations and descriptions of menu), we made it to get to know Khanh that speaks English fluently, such a nice person and a great worker, knows everything about local cuisine. What’s more.. morning Joga? Every day at 7am. Billiard? Bay beach bar just next to. Motorbikes? Just in front of the hotel in Geco(100k/day). Duong dong? 15 minutes by motorbike. Wifi? Perfect speed, easily you can work remotely. Seems like a paradise? Yes it is. If to go to Phu Quock, only Ocean Bay! Thank you Ocean Bay Resort for beautiful memories.

PS For those who comment that bedsheets are not being changed every day- what kind of attitude this is towards earth? I’m glad they do not, this would be a complete environmental disaster!

We had the best experience at Ocean Bay Resort & Spa. We had great sunsets. All the rooms were beautifully designed and provided all the perks for a perfect comfortable stay. Check in and check out was a breeze with excellent customer service and the restaurant staff went above and beyond each night we dined at the resort restaurant. The only feedback which is not diminishing the overall experience is some of the beach umbrellas need to be replaced as they are rusty and faulty in parts and a flag to call waitstaff for cocktails by the beach. This will ensure increase in sales for sure.

Truly a piece of paradise on Earth. Perfect beach, super green around, calm, clean, attentive staff, great breakfasts. Stone baths were great.

The resort restaurant is so so - overpriced and almost zero vegetarian options. Margharita pizza, one of few things without meat, should be called Garlicrita - amount of garlic in it was insane, absurd. Also twice staff knocked on our door late into evening - both times mistakenly giving us someone else's unpaid bills.

We stayed at this hotel for the second time, and once again, we had a great experience. Villa Olang, located in a quiet part of the resort, offers a good degree of privacy and has its own pool. The private pool is a significant advantage; you can actually swim in it rather than just getting wet. Breakfasts were plentiful, and we found everything we needed. However, the best part of our stay was the hotel service. The manager, Mr. Trung, was exceptional and promptly resolved even the smallest issues. He often invited us for drinks, which was a lovely touch, and the beverages were excellent. When we experienced internet issues with the TV, they had a brand new one installed within 30 minutes. The fridge in the villa functioned perfectly, cooling efficiently unlike the ineffective fridges often found in hotel rooms. The air conditioning operated smoothly without any issues. Additionally, the internet connection facilitated seamless video streaming and TV watching.

We had a great experience overall. The resort boasts a wonderful atmosphere, beautiful gardens, and impressive architecture featuring a lot of wood. However, it's beginning to show signs of aging. The private pool could use some maintenance, as algae has started to grow in certain areas, likely due to the high heat in the region. Nonetheless, it was not dirty.

My husband and I loved everything about this property. Breakfast was amazing and the sunset during happy hour was awesome.

Normally pictures of the places don’t really reflect reality. At Ocean Bay it is even more beautiful than what you expected when looking at the pictures.The beach, the pool, the sunsets were spectacular!

For a pricy 5 star place, not everything was perfect: Part of the staff seemed not to be very motivated, the cleaning lady forgot to bring a towel, the parasols were very run down.

Immaculately kept gardens, pool and surrounding area including Reception. The reception team was particularly slick and welcoming. White choice of places to eat and drink and there are a handful of restaurants and a very small minimart with them a five minute walk of the front gate.

This is only a very minor niggle, but it would have been nice if the veranda doors the sliding doors into the amazing outside showering and toilet area were fixed as they are a bit ill fitting and too rustic. Also, the happy hour is a little bit confusing and not really a true buy one get one free happy hour. Check the rules in each bar and hoose carefully.

Spent 2 nights in this resort and what I can say is brilliant! The staff is so kind: the driver, the cleaners, the receptionist and the manager. Everyone is so kind and always greeting when they see you around. They also care about your stay and experience in Phu Quoc. The room I chose was the Bungalow which has both garden and partial sea views. The room was clean and had everything I need. The decoration and facilities of the room make you feel really close to the nature. There are heaps of beautiful spots in the resort to take pictures if you are interested. The breakfast is great too. I love the cleaners and the security guys, even they rarely talk to you but they always smile and try their best if you need help.

The only thing I don’t like is the location, it’s not close to any famous attractions and you will have to drive/ catch a taxi to these places. If you want to go to the town it might take about 10mins of driving. They have a shuttle bus to travel to the town everyday so make sure you ask them what time to make your plan. You can catch a Vin free bus to the resort but it only drops you off on the main street and you will have to walk for about 10-15 mins. Make sure you call the reception for arranging a tuk-tuk to pick you up prior to your arrival to the bus stop as it might take long for checking for its availability. However, this location offers you a quiet place to rest/ relax. It’s suitable if you are going with your family and want to avoid the crowd.

This place is so beautiful! The bungalow we had was so comfortable, clean and esthetically pleasing, I couldn't have been happier. It's really immersed in nature, private but yet so close to all facilities, beach included. The breakfast is incredible!! And it's great to have free yoga in the morning and a spa on site that is expensive, but really great. The restaurants in the hotel might not be the best food options (even if the service is great), but there are many good options within a few minutes walk from the resort. We always found available umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach, but I guess it can be difficult when it's really busy.

The only negative point for us was the noise coming from other guests at night, from time to time. Some people were really loud at 2am in the balcony or when leaving at 6am. One suggestion to the staff could be to remind everyone of quiet hours, because of course the bungalows are not soundproofed so that you can hear nature sounds and relax.
