Location great. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff everywhere and all on hand to help you, they were very courteous and I have to say both dinner and breakfast where well run by the supervisors. I have to thank them. Also I loved my room. It was in a quiet area and a big fat thanks to Colin at reception for taken care of us. He's a lovely lad and likes chatting to people.

The only thing I felt that let the hotel down was some items on the menu. It's very pricey and the portions do not match the price. For example I thought the fish, a table spoon of peas and a few french fries definitely did not match the price. Soup and bread too, not right at all wat we paid for.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Has to be one of the cleaness hotels I have ever stayed in. The general upkeep and maintenance of hotel was great, everything worked well and the landscapping of the grounds was amazing. Car park was massive. The location was great, very quiet and a short 5 min walk to town. Local shop across the road. Loads of taxis if needed to. Breakfast was amazing with wide selection. Pool area good.

The dated decor of the dinning area along with the prices of the food turned me off having an evening meal there. Bar area was nice but expensive compared to others in the town. Vending machine option but pricey to. There seemed to be a private outdoor area but was off limits, just feel this is under utilized in comparison to the size of the hotel.

My room was excellent size and bathroom shower was very spacious with great power from shower itself. Breakfast room was very well laid out and attended by excellent friendly staff. There was a good choice of cereals, fruit etc and very good choice of hot food to suit all tastes. Tea/coffee making facilities in bedroom were very good with a selection of biscuits to have with tea/coffee. Would have liked to have bottle of complimentary water in bedroom. One issue for me was in regard to pillows in the bedroom - pillows on bed were too firm for proper comfort - soft pillows stored in wardrobe in room would give guests a choice of which pillow would suit best. Parking at hotel was very accessible and close to hotel entrance. Staff in Reception were extremely friendly The only other issue I had was in regard to the high prices charged at the Seven Oaks Hotel for dinner in particular which I felt were extremely high in comparison to Limerick City restaurant prices where I live. My sister and brother-in-law stayed at the Talbot Hotel where the prices for dinner were extremely competitive and offered a much more varied menu. For that reason they booked dinner for the three of us at the Talbot Hotel instead of the Seven Oaks Hotel having reviewed menus and prices at both hotels. Food was excellent and very good value for money in the Talbot Hotel.

No choice of pillows in bedroom - dinner prices too high in comparison to Talbot Hotel where my sister and brother-in-law stayed - lighting in bedroom was very poor.

Great location in close proximity to the town and a short walk from everywhere (train station, shops and cafes). The beds are very comfortable and the room was very cosy and had everything we needed. All the staff are very friendly and my daughter loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi. There's also lots of seating in the lobby which was nice to relax in after a long day of walking. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection of hot food and continental such as cereal, yoghurt and fruit etc. Everything was great and I would love to stay here again.

Comfortable, quiet. Well equipped.

First impressions were not good - due to a lot of ongoing work outside, landscaping and resurfacing etc which made our initial access confusing. Had to double park the car to let out passengers near the front - one of whom was a 92 year old who is not steady on his feet and wouldn’t easily walk the longer distance from the car park at the rear. The car park itself is not clearly marked out and cars were parked haphazardly. Presume this will be rectified in the landscaping upgrading work. Realise that such work is necessary but a little forewarning would have been helpful. Despite the inauspicious arrival - as soon as we moved inside we were reassured by the good quality - as indicated in the ranking above.

The staff were really good. I couldn't fault them.

The safe didn't work in my room and when I reported it they couldn't fix it. They offered to keep my valuables at the reception. The wifi went down in my room and took too long to fix. I had to do my work in reception area where the wifi was working. Not ideal.

Very good breakfast. The place is nice and clean.

Before i checked in, i witnessed a queue of guests requesting to change their rooms because of the noise. I asked if my room was nice and quiet. The answer was ‘I’m not sure’. Finally, they handed me the keys saying ‘We have no idea how you will reach your room with a stroller. There are stairs on the way, and you’ll need to go up and down’. No offer to help either. Yes, the room was noisy, the sound comes from a number of fans on the roof, which you see through your window. There’s nothing they can do about the noise, so beware when you book anything in this hotel.

Staff were very polite and assisted me with all my basic needs like carrying my trays to the room..offering me clean towels toilet paper and changing my em sheets replenishing my supplies of coffee tea sugar milk and digestive bourbon cram and ginger nut biscuits...as well as removing my rubbish and putting fresh bags in the bins...on a daily basis.

The 3 beds that were in the room so I could lay out my clothes.

The bath was too small to stand in to have a shower No mat was on the floor in the bathroom to stop the floor from being slippy. Ironing board to small to use for shirts and trousers as iron was attached to the board so I couldn't iron my clothes properly.

The breakfast was very good, and while one light in the bathroom had stopped working, maintenance fixed it immediately. The staff left us a wonderful little gift, since we were celebrating our birthdays!

We'd prefer longer pool opening hours, either in the morning or evening.
