A great, budget friendly hotel. Welcoming and helpful staff at sister hotel where you can leave your luggage before and after check in. Loved the location, a bit noisy but so central. The room was small, basic and clean. Nantes itself is a fabulous city to visit, walkable, full of culture with lots of artistic events and wonderful food too!

Minor things like no mirror or kettle in room and would have liked an extra towel and more pillows. Temporary tramline disruption.

Great location, only ten minute walk to tourist attractions like Le Château de Nantes and only a twenty minute walk to the train station. The room was clean, a bit cozy in size but not too bad, and the bed was comfortable. The staff at reception was friendly and access to a kettle was appreciated even without having to pay for breakfast (but only during the limited reception hours). Also very cheap, our cheapest accommodation in our whole three month trip across Europe, so great value for money! Cheap without being 'dodgy' in any way.

It was not made clear to us until it was too late that we had to inform in advance if we wanted to check in before 5pm. Our train arrived at 2pm so we just had to kill three hours with all our luggage by chilling in parks or at a restaurant, which wasn't the end of the world but it was very hot and it was a bit vexing knowing that we could've gotten our room earlier if we had known to ask that morning, we had to go through many different pages on their website to access that information when it probably should've been sent as a message, as we only found out too late. The room was also quite hot, and access to a fridge would've been appreciated.

The hotel was located in a great location, walking distance to most of the sights & public transport. The staff were very friendly especially Marla, Jack & Benjamin I would like to say a very big Thank You to. We were always greeted with big smiles & most helpful with any request . The breakfast for €10 was excellent, good choices, fresh & plentiful. Hotel rooms were cleaned everyday and were very clean, great shower & nice towels & bed linen. I would definitely stay here again & will come back again later in the year with my sister.

This place was really good value, I have no complaints. The ladies at the reception were friendly, the room was clean and easy to access, and it was close to lots of restaurants, bars, and a supermarket. I was travelling by bike, and was able to store it in their cellar, but I needed to leave before reception opened so they were fine with me taking my bike up into the room with me. Worth knowing that the stairs are very narrow and spiral up, so don't count on this option if you have a huge amount of gear hanging off your bike.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Le Petit Duquesne in Nantes, and I can confidently say it was a delightful experience. Whether you’re exploring historic sites or enjoying a leisurely stroll along the river, everything is conveniently accessible. I stayed in a room that featured a cozy double bed and a single bed, perfect for my needs. The room was clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. I also appreciated that the hotel is spread across three separate buildings, giving it a unique charm and character. One of the highlights of my stay was the early check-in option. Being able to settle in five hours earlier than usual was a huge bonus and allowed me to maximize my time in the city. For such a central location and quality service, the price was very reasonable. I felt I got more than my money’s worth, especially considering the amenities provided. Overall, I loved my stay at Hotel Le Petit Duquesne. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option with lovely staff and a prime location in Nantes, this hotel is definitely worth considering. I can’t wait to return!

20 min walk to the Gare Nantes Station

Staff was amazing. Despite the late check-in time they allowed us to left the bags in a sister hotel nearby, the same after the checkout. Even allowed us to use the toilet there when we came to pick our bags. the room was very clean and in general the hotel is quiet. All the facilities were appropriate. They allowed my friend to use the dinning area to make her tea. Since you don't have boiler in the room. The location is super central it couldn't be a better location.

sometimes you ear the water flush flowing from the upstairs room since it's an old building. one of my friends said her mattress was not so good (single bed) the double bed we felt the mattress was good. In general taking in account the value for money and the location this place it's defenetly a great deal in Nantes.

We had a studio room which had a fridge and a microwave. Unfortunately no pods for the coffee maker. Room was quiet and comfortable.Hotel very close to a variety of cafes/ restaurants. We ate around the corner at a Japanese which was excellent. Chateaux (free to walk through and around ramparts) was worth a visit. Given a pass for a lockup area in carpark nearby for our bikes. First time in Nantes- beautiful!!

Pods for coffee machine and a kettle would have been good. Couldn’t get heated towel rack to work.

We knew this would be a basic hotel due to previous comments and facilities stated when booking but it was a really nice place and had what we needed. Not stated in the facilities were soap, shower soap and coat hangers. These do make a difference when booking and we're happy to see them there. We also had thick black out curtains which was really lovely and surprising. It was nice and quiet even as we were on a main road. The room was very clean and got fresh towels each day for out 2 night stay. The bed and pillows were lovely and comfy (1 extra pillow and blanket in the room). We did take the duvet out of the cover as was warm but a very nice stay overall. I'm not certain we could stay in the summer months due to no aircon but there was a large window that we left open during the days to let the air in and it cooled down nicely on the night. On the last day we were allowed to leave our luggage at the sister hotel down the street after check out until we needed to leave for the airport.

We were on the 4th floor, we have been used to travelling recently and always seem to get higher up rooms with a lot of stairs so we can getting used to it now but there is no lift so someone with less mobility may struggle with these. I would just ask for a lower floor.

The hotel has a great location in the heart of the old town and is clean and comfortable, with numerous amenities within a very short walking distance. There are two options for breakfast, with the full buffet available at the main hotel just two minutes' walk away, or a smaller option (within, for me, a less convenient time frame) available within the hotel itself.

The hotel's check-in does not open until 5pm, which created a queue on arrival. I didn't appreciate being called (hotel policy, apparently) 10 minutes before check-out time to be reminded to leave.

Decent breakfast , good size room and bathroom , location was perfect near transport and restaurants and quiet

It was 38 degrees not the fault of the hotel and no air con was a little tough although the fan was welcome I left my bag at the bigger 'sister' hotel staff miserable and not very welcoming which was disappointing as the staff at the little hotel.qere llovely
