The hotel is very well located, just 5 minutes from the nearest hop-on hop-off bus station. There are numerous restaurants nearby. Finding a parking space nearby is a bit of a hit and miss. Although the hotel is on a side street, it was still quite noisy all night long due to people shouting in the street. A huge compliment goes to the super friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. They made our stay a memorable experience. We'd especially like to mention the excellent breakfast; the salmon with scrambled eggs was simply fantastic!

If there's anything to criticize, it's the lack of water pressure in our shower.

Great accommodation. Very helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts had lots of choice - tried the full fry-up and the bacon/pancakes (not on the same day) - both presented nicely and tasty - best smoked bacon I've had in a long time. If you don't want to venture into the centre the hotel happily recommends some good choices of restaurants nearby.

Smell of the chip shop on the corner of the street is quite overpowering, luckily not detectable from the hotel. Location - its not in the centre but not too much of an issue as only 15-20 minutes walking from the main square / City Hall.

Received a warm welcome.staff were happy to accommodate our needs such as leaving luggage when arriving whilst our room was made ready for the afternoon. Happy to order taxis and provide advice etc. Ricky was exceptional at breakfast times. Was made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb with a lot of variety. Cooked to perfection. Rooms were very clean and items replaced each day if we used tea,sugar etc. Facilities available were great, such as spare toiletries, hairdryer etc. Location was in walking distance of centre, a little noisy late at night with passers by shouting if we left our window open (which was above hotel front entrance). Would definitely recommend the hotel and did note that they had received a number of awards in the past for their reception service etc.

I liked how clean and fresh it was. The reception, breakfast room and bedroom were all super clean and felt very new. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nicely and freshly cooked. It was not greasy, as is sometimes the case with hotel breakfasts. The bedroom had a fridge, iron, hairdryer, bottled water, etc and it was very nicely decorated. Overall, we had a lovely stay and we were very happy.

Not as much parking as I thought there would be, so we ended up parking for free down the street from the Tara Lodge. Traffic outside was a little noisy.

Great option for visiting Belfast as it's right in the middle of the Queen's Quarter with lots of eating and drinking options. There's a train station nearby and it's roughly a 10 min walk to the nearest Hop-on-Hop-off Bus Stop.

Room was very warm, and provided fan made next to no difference Really odd smell in the bathroom possibly due to there being no ventilation in there whatsoever Description mentions on-site parking but not that there's only 10 spaces, all of which are pretty tricky to get into

Tara Lodge is an exceptionally welcoming small hotel. There were lovely touches throughout, such as the beautiful photos of local landscapes on the walls. It was very good value for money, including a good freshly cooked breakfast, also catering for a gluten-free diet. The staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed staying in this area of Belfast, near Queen's University and the Botanic Gardens, well served by bus routes (and also not far to walk) into the centre.

The bed had a heavy quilt and the mattress was softer than I like, although this is a personal taste.

Superbly located, clean and well equipped hotel within walking distance to the city centre with very kind and helpful staff and a more than tasty breakfast which you have to order from the card but which you can also modify and pick and choose to your liking. Parking spaces are available on site but they are not matching the number of the rooms. So it’s the early bird who catches the worm. The late ones have to look for parking spaces in the nearby streets where parking is however still free of charge.

The Tara Lodge is a gem of a hotel ,approx 10min walk from main train station situated in a quiet location though with in easy walking distance to bars and restaurants and city centre. The hotel was immaculately maintained ,room comfortable with great amenities, little extras like small fridge ,tea, and coffee provided with biscuits . Shower gel and shampoo available ,shower fabulous overall room comfortable with great amenities. Staff are very professional and greated you with a smile nothing was too much they were all very helpful .Breakfast was complimentary, and a great choice loved the full breakfast, which was beautifully served ,coffee good to, would recommend this hotel .

Nothing everything was great

Overall very good, clean, friendly staff, excellent location into the centre of Belfast! Amazing breakfast with plenty of choices.

It states free parking on site, which was very important to us in our booking. However there is very limited spaces in the car park (roughly 10 spaces in the secure car park) & there are lots more rooms than that there. Arriving to have to find a space in a busy side street then leave our car in the centre of Belfast was a cause of great stress for us. Just be aware of this if parking securely it’s important. (That’s not to say the streets nearby weren’t safe but we felt uncomfortable taking that risk in an unknown, new city)

When we arrived at Tara Lodge & checked in , we were made to feel welcomed by the lovely staff. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. When I entered my bedroom, the staff welcomed me back with macaroons & a welcome back note. That was very nice to receive. It's in a great location. Queens University & Botanic garden's are a 15 minute walk. There's are lots of fantastic places to eat & drink at the end of the road.
