Beautiful accommodation. Stayed in Loft Room. Lots of stairs but worth it. Full of light, high ceiling and views. Fabulous location in central Lewes with a parking space. Room is tastefully decorated with high quality bedding and towels. Lovely host. Have already recommended to family and friends! Plenty to do and beautiful countryside. Harvey’s brewery tour, Lewes Castle, Ann of Cleeves house, Monks House, the Old Priory ruins. Great walks including part of the old railway line. Interesting shops - especially Nord

Everything was great For awareness Loft room is accessed via several flights of stairs but definitely worth the climb. The turn into the parking area is quite tight

Vicki, who runs Monty’s accommodation is just completely charming. She really knows how to make you feel welcome. The attention to detail she has put into the decor of the apartment is outstanding. The apartment itself is beautiful. We had the top floor apartment and it is full of light. All the furnishings are beautiful and a lot of attention to detail has gone into it, particularly the comfort, beautiful furniture, beautiful bed, excellent bathroom. It was like an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy High Street. You would never know you were in a town . It made our holiday to stay in such a beautiful apartment as this and we would highly recommend. We will definitely go back.

Spacious, clean, it had everything we wanted with nice touches such as milk left in the fridge. The location is amazing on the High Street (but quiet, our bedroom was at the back of the house), it’s so convenient for restaurants with parking included just a short walk away. Lewes itself is a lovely place, just walking along the High Street looking at the historic buildings is an experience in itself. Vicky was an excellent host answering our questions and providing advice we wanted on restaurants.

Great central location, nicely decorated and appointed room with kitchenette, very comfortable bed, lots of books, good WiFi, nice bathroom and toiletries, good communication from host beforehand, supplied with milk, tea, coffee, orange juice, G&T and beers!

Access to parking does have a tight entrance, but we were informed before and no extra charges for parking space (if available)

Vicki was a great host who made us feel very much at home. She took the trouble to meet us when we got lost in Lewes’s one-way system & put a microwave in the kitchen at my wife’s request. The property is centrally located, so convenient for seeing & eating out in the town. We took up Vicki's recommendation to eat at The Rights of Man pub, which was very good. The immaculately-clean apartment was modern in style, spacious & comfortable. The bed was equally comfy and fitted out with nice, expensive-feeling bedlinen. The apartment was quiet: we didn’t experience the noise from seagulls mentioned by other reviewers or from the traffic in a busy town. I would like to finish by stressing my thanks to Vicki for making our stay in Lewes very comfortable.

The layout of the building is such that the accommodation doesn’t have a lockable door to segregate it from the apartment above. I hadn’t stayed in a basement-type apartment before, and I felt the relative absence of natural light more than I had expected. However, I realise it would be unrealistic to expect Vicki to address either of these points.

This is a very tastefully arranged modern apartment. It served us very well as the base for a short trip to Lewes to enjoy Glyndebourne and the town. It’s perfectly situated to enjoy Lewes and parking was included. Would have gladly stayed longer. The host was outstanding—friendly, informative, and helpful (e.g offered to supply picnic gear for the festival).

There was nothing we didn’t like, but it’s worth noting that the basement flat isn’t separated from the main level by its own door. This was not a problem for us, but others might want more separation. Also, if you arrive with a very large/wide car, you might find it tricky to drive the narrow passageway to the parking lot.

Another great stay at Montys. Vicky is an excellent host and always responsive to any communication. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean with tasteful decor. The location, in the centre of Lewes, gives access to many different activities. Lovely walks on The South Downs, local art galleries and a fantastic choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Easy access to London and Brighton on the train. I highly recommend staying here.

The location is fantastic, couldn't be better, with views over the rooftops (and you can see your car in the car park). We met Vicky briefly and she was lovely! A beautiful room with amazing decor including classic mid century furniture and wall of books. Very light and airy. Quality toiletries and power shower. Water filter in the fridge and a good fan were very appreciated in 30 degrees. Secure and easy entry via a keypad and your own key. Some thoughtful extras provided, with nice glassware, and somewhere to eat.

As other reviewers have mentioned, at night the seagulls are very loud and unrelenting, and it's not completely dark, but these things are easily dealt with with earplugs and a sleep mask.

Location on the High street is great and there isn't too much noise from outside in spite of the location. It was warm and cosy on the top floor with great space available to relax. Having the kitchenette made making tea and coffee with a proper fridge or having a glass of wine whilst watching TV perfect. The bed was really comfortable (better than many hotels). I especially liked the character of the room with quality furniture and lots of nice design touches. It felt homely because it wasn't just furnished to the minimum standard but done with genuine care and design. Great shower. Info before our arrival about getting in and parking was really helpful.

Mugs for tea please and maybe a lit mirror in the bathroom! Otherwise nothing!

Blissful stay. Such incredible taste in how this loft apartment has been designed and maintained. Vicky the owner couldn’t be more helpful. Everything sings quality. Very quiet even tho it is so central and we were there during a period of very hot weather and it never felt hot. We had no need to use the supplied fan. We had no trouble whatever with the stairs despite being 75 and 81. Very easy stairs. We love Monty’s so much that we return again and again.
