We were greeted by Karmin who provided us with the keys. She was extremely friendly and helpful ! Karmin provided us with an extra fan due to the warm weather and assisted us with turning off the radiator. She could not of been any more helpful! Thank you. There was a fridge and a kettle with lots of biscuits, tea and coffee! Parking was easy and there was plenty of room. The shower is nice and powerful and the bathroom was clean. Fresh towels are provided which is very helpful. The bedding was clean but the smaller beds within the room were not very comfortable (also quite small for adults). The hotel is right next to the Fox Covert pub which is approx 30 seconds walk away. The location makes it easy to get to Yarm, ingleby, Middlesbrough. It’s also 10 mins from the motorway.

This is such a lovely location and very nice rooms. We found it pleasantly quiet and easy to find. There is a lovely pub at the end of the lane and although you feel like you're in the countryside it's close to Yarm high street for dining out or take aways. The key safe system was easy to find and use. There were a few confusing messages throughout the booking process such as automated messages trying to get me to make extra payments, but the owners responded quickly to any queries. On arrival it did feel a bit like we were invading someone's privacy as I think people live there and they were washing their cars, we said hello but they didn't respond (maybe they didn't hear us but it did feel like we were intruding!). Other than that a lovely stay at a lovely place.

Large room which was sufficient for two adults and a teenager. It also had a sofa and TV. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was good. Nice and clean. Lots of tea and coffee supplied.

There was no fridge and being as there is no restaurant (it is near a pub but that's a 5 minute walk) and no shops, We had to keep milk outside the room which would not be ideal in the summer. The main bed was uncomfortable so my husband didn't sleep well. You can hear your neighbours through the adjoining door which was not an issue (except for the occasionally yappy dog) as everyone was quiet - but this could be an issue. It was slightly on the costly side for no other facilities except a room and no housekeeping for 3 nights (£100 per night for 3).

We stayed in one of a section of rooms next to the windmill. Communication was friendly and prompt. We requested an early check in, as we were attending a birthday lunch and were contacted within half an hour to advise this was possible. We were welcomed by lovely staff as were parking up and they showed us to our beautifully clean and furnished room. The room was warm and the bed so comfy, it made us want to stay another night. It had an en-suite bathroom, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. We would definitely return.

The road leading to the property was a touch rocky but not a problem if you drive slow and steady. Maybe a bigger clearer sign as we drove past the entrance twice 🫣

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy with wardrobe space. The shower has to be the best feature I loved it was powerful and relaxing Free WiFi is a plus, A smart TV also so I could link my netflix to the TV. Even though it was minus 8 outside we were nice and toastie. There's a pub just a few minutes walk. You also have yarm town centre which is a 10 minute drive. With a choice of restaurants and pubs The location was peaceful and relaxing a lovely little get away from the kids. Also it's pet friendly so you can bring your dog along we'll be returning. Found a diamond of a place only 20-30 minutes from where we live.

We had to buy more toilet roll and milk as we didn't have enough. Apart from that there's nothing else really.

This property is very spacious we stayed in the toot suite, this suite had bathroom facilities, kitchen area, lounge with corner sofa. Everything you want when staying over for a night away. The hottub was amazing which gave us the chilled vibes. The kids loved it. I would recommend anyone to have a look and book for that warm chilled feeling. The owners came the morning we were due to leave and they were lovely. Making conversations with us which is always a good.

Really silly to write this but only 1 toilet roll but does not reflect the whole stay!

We only live round the corner but it felt like we were miles away, such a relaxing location with a cosey country feel to it! Was reluctant to book with it being so close to home but it did not disappoint. Great food available just a couple minutes walk down the road too! Hot tub was lovely and hot for us getting in, robes were a great touch for the short walk to the hot tub!

Was no faults at all, only thing I could comment on was that there were no coasters and I was worried I'd ruin the lovely table!

The property is central and stunning and the accomadation well appointed, very clean and comfortable. But what made our stay was the owners who became aware we had been badly let down by a holiday firm and came out to see what they could do to help us. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable and happy. We cannot thank them enough for thier hospitality, empathy and extra effort to diffuse a bad situation for us that was not of thier making. Thier kindness at tha time was so appreciated and gave us the faith and confidence to continue on with our trip.

Got a package saying they would be wine waiting in the room and as it was mine and my husbands wedding anniversary we was looking forward to this when we got there is wasn't in the room called the reception and they told me it was no longer available as of a week ago, we didn't get notified of this before arrival so we ended up having to buy a bottle of wine at the pub which was the only place available and in walking distance as we got dropped off so me and my husband could both have a drink which ended up being expensive

Really enjoyed our last-minute trip, we stayed in The Woodstore. Communication was brilliant from the staff before our arrival and again after we had arrived when we needed to contact them. The place was immaculate. The little special touches of bucksfizz, chocolate, and corona were lovely and unexpected. The hot tub was ready for us arriving, boiling hot, perfect - stupid me accidentally turned it down too much by pressing the wrong button in the dark 🫣 sorry! But the staff couldn't have been more helpful even though I contacted them out of hours. Robes were supplied too, which was great. Beds super comfy! Check-in was easy, as was check out. Can't wait to stay again!

Nothing not to like, a little light for outside would be fab, even just a couple solar ones... but this isn't a complaint as the hot tub lights up anyway 😍
