Everything. The perfect hotel for people who want a traditional Japanese stay, while having the comforts of home. The staff is amazing, and the room was just straight up magical. Next time I’m staying for a whole week :)

This hotel is on a quiet side street, close to Omichi market. Hotel has a list of recommended places to eat and helped us make reservation for the most delicious sushi dinner we had. There is a recommended ramen place 2 minutes walk from the hotel, which was very good. We stayed for three nights and booked their breakfast. The breakfast was different everyday for the three days, all delicious traditional Japanese food. Free coffee and juice throughout the day. Their mango juice is so refreshing after coming back from a day of sight seeing in July. Even though they do not have laundry facilities, the shower room have cloth drying function and there is a cloth drying rack. We hand washed our cloth and left them in the shower room, turned on the drying function and our clothes were dry in less than 3 hours.

We liked almost everything. The hotel doesn’t have too many rooms and feels like a boutique hotel. It is modern but has been thoughtfully decorated to give it such a very unique atmosphere. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom, with separate toilet, a shower and a bathtub, was great. Several free drinks available in the room. Location is convenient, 10-min walk from the station, near Omicho market and quite central to get to the main sightseeings (well connected by bus during the day). Staff was very nice and very welcoming too. We didn’t try the breakfast so can’t say anything about it.

The bedroom was very small and felt a bit cramped (even for Japan), with almost no room for luggage bigger than a carry-on.

Wow where to start... Firstly the staff were incredible. Not only were they so friendly and welcoming, their attentiveness was next level. From giving me a handmade card and champagne on my birthday, to holding an umbrella over our heads as we got into a taxi so we didn't get rained on. We were blown away by how wonderful they were. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the free drinks and noodles were fantastic. The beds were super comfortable- so much so we spent a lot more time relaxing in this hotel than we usually do on trips. We used the bath salts provided and had lovely long hot baths. We really enjoyed our time here. Great location within walking distance to the fish market which we would highly recommend- ate so much good food here and there were some great restaurants and bars nearby too.

Nothing, it was perfect!

From the first step inside, the hotel felt peaceful. Only our second night in Japan, we’re especially grateful for the warm welcome from hotel staff and for their assistance in finalizing our plans. For us, the hotel location was ideal. The bedroom design was a lovely balance of elegance and comfort. The hotel pajamas were so handsome and cozy we would have bought them if we could have! We slept very well. The 24/7 coffee and roasted twig tea drinks available in the lobby area were both convenient and tasty. And the farewell rice cracker snacks and thoughtful handwritten note were much appreciated as we took next train. We felt very lucky to stay here!

We felt very cared for by the staff at Hotel Kanazawa Zoushi. The moment we crossed the threshold of the hotel, they swept us up, gave us beverages and a treat and we enjoyed this as they checked us in. The ambiance is so relaxing and quintessential. Our room was perfect, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is in the perfect spot in the city with nice strolls to the different areas of Kanazawa. We will definitely be back again!

Everything was wonderful!

Great location and easy walk from the station. Beautiful boutique hotel, comfortable room, amazing bathroom with separate controls to heat the shower/tub area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And make you feel like a welcomed guest. When you enter the hotel you are in the lobby lounge where they serve breakfast and evening noodles and where you can help yourself to tea, coffee and juice any time. It’s a relaxing spot and the japanese breakfast is a highlight of our trip. It is a set breakfast that they vary if you stay multiple nights. I highly recommend this hotel. This is the type of hotel you will remember. It’s not just somewhere to sleep. It’s an experience.

You can’t ask for anything more in a hotel at this price point. The decor is beautiful with high quality Japanese furniture in the dining room. The Japanese style breakfast is good, made with quality ingredients. Staff are lovely, friendly, and always at the ready to help. The amenities are high quality and the loungewear is the most comfortable and attractive we gotten at any hotel yet (wish they sold them). Not to mention all the small touches that make this hotel stay exceptional, the welcome sweets, choice of high quality bath salts, free drinks in the room, good quality tea, coffee etc all day, and small gift on departures. If I come back to Kanazawa, this is where I will stay!

Nothing, everything is great.

Great boutique hotel in a funky pedestrian street with many interesting restaurants and shops. The hotel is a shortish walk from the station and about halfway between the station and the Omicho Market with another short stroll getting you to the castle gardens. Naturally the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The free udon soup prepared and handled out around 8 pm each night is a very nice touch. We were very taken by a bar with delicious food options, just a few doors along the street from the hotel. It is run by an exsumo wrestler and his staff/family. After quite a few drinks and tasty dishes, we were farewelled like part of the family. It was a very memorable night.

Everything. Even the check-in part of the stay was the beginning of the exceptional welcome that we felt the entire stay. So far, your property has been the nicest we have experienced in Japan after 9 days. The hospitality, service, amenities, offerings of free drinks and evening udon, as well as the special treat of dango upon arrival were all nice touches that made our stay unique. When we requested help to find restaurants, they pointed us to one of our now favorite spots just down the street and made the reservation for us. The room was beautifully appointed and the space elegant. The value was excellent. Our go to place to stay when we are next in Kanazawa!

There was absolutely nothing that we didn’t like or can criticize. Such a well thought out and designed property with well trained staff that did their best to make us feel at home.
