Close proximity to shopping centre, esplanade & new air fryer

Cockroaches, the kettle was black ( cleaner that serviced my room was lovely, but I’m a cleaner and they could do a lot more ) although it usually comes down to the owners and what they can get done in the time allowed. If you don’t want to buy new kettles, buy some citric acid, put 1tsp in and boil the kettle, tip out, fill kettle boil again. Your kettle should be clean, like new. This can be done when you start, whilst making a bed, using time effectively. I will be moving up to Cairns in December and looking for work in the new year. I have worked for Wyndham Resort in Torquay VIC for 6 years as a housekeeper, also had my own business.

An ideal location,10 minute walk to sea front and close to supermarket and train station. Very clean,we loved relaxing in the pool. Milk,biscuits and tea/coffee provided on arrival which was very welcome. All cleaning materials, towels,soap and shampoo provided. Will and Lyn were so helpful,advice about trips to suit our requirements,arranging for us to stay extra nights as we needed to extend our visit and even finding a camera charger for us as we’d forgotten to bring it.

I liked the spacious apartment rooms with laundry and kitchen, the swimming pool on premises and the secure car park.

Our room was on the second floor meaning we had to carry our bags upstairs considering there was no elevator. While the hotel did assist us with carrying a bag, we still had to carry the remaining ones during check-in and check-out. There were a few tiny cockroaches in the living room that we encountered during our stay. Not to say that the place was dirty in any way, but just that the apartment needed some annual pest control treatment.

On arrival we were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment. Only downside to that was we had to haul our luggage up several flights of stairs as there is no lift. A good workout for us over 70’s 😂 The apartment was clean, comfortable & had everything we required. Also had washer / dryer in the apartment which was a bonus for us. Location is very quiet & was perfect for supermarket & town Very friendly hosts and Lyn helped us with our tours

Excellent stay - clean, and very good facilities with central pool and washing etc. Well set up kitchen. I liked the swap area for books, food and electronic items from previous guests. We were in two bed two bath apartment which including washing facilities, and there’s a guest laundry for the smaller apartments. About a five minute walk to the big mall and railway (one block) and ten minutes to the main part of the city (three blocks or so). A couple of useful takeaways just over the street. Police station directly opposite made us feel very safe! Friendly hosts, good info available.

The location of city terraces is very good for though who want to be in touching distance of cairns esplanade. It's just a block away from Captain Cook highway which takes you towards daintree rainforest. It has many restaurants nearby as well. The property has a very good parking facility which makes it easy to park rental car if you use it. Property provides garage door key. It has a swimming pool which can be used until 10pm. The owners were super helpful. They happily gave us the room even when we reached few hours early-Before scheduled check in.

Everything! They had wonderful systems in place like bike sharing, food sharing, a barbecue, and pool. The location was close to the shore, but away from the nightlife which allowed us to catch some good sleep. A great commitment to eco-friendly living!

Very comfortable bed…convenient location self catering facilities

A bit more attention to cleaning The pantry had left over cheezels and dirt on the floor. Outside table hadn’t been wiped over. Mouldy smell in kitchen cupboards and drawers and floor tiles needed a good clean Bathroom clean but mould on grout which doesn’t look great

The location was great, the pool area was lovely, and the apartment was spacious and clean. Was great having two bathrooms for a group of four adults travelling for sport!! Was a little concerned about noise, seeing the railway tracks just across the road from our room, but it honestly wasn't an issue and we didn't hear a thing.

Such a minor complaint - while the beds were very comfortable, the pillows were a bit rubbish! They were just a bit thin and flat, so I bought a cheap one from Kmart for the weekend. Really not a big deal :)

Will and Lyn are great hosts! Wish I had more time to chat with them. The room is also very spacious and well-equipped! I was pleasantly surprised to find an air fryer and a smart TV was definitely a big plus.

The tables and closets were quite dusty, and there was a funky smell in the toilet cupboard.
