Ballina Palms Boutique Motel used to be a more boutique than it is at the moment. Don't get me wrong, it still has a lovely Balinese feel to it but it needs some "love". Some of the plantation shutters are broken and the shower needs re-grouting. There are still lovely touches such as the towels and the toiletries but there was no milk in the fridge and you are expected to wash your own dishes and glass wear or you will be charged a fee. In this day and age any plates, glasses etc that are used should be put into a dishwasher for hygiene purposes.

A very spacious room. Diningtable, very comfy lounge chairs with footstool and a very spacious kitchenette. The staff topped up our coffee milk and biscuits and were very accommodating with all our requests. The pool was fabulous as it was quite hot while we were there so we swam every day. The Motel was booked out every day but the other guests were extremely quiet. Great hot showers and very comfy bed.

The TV was a little on the small side particularly when watching the tennis at night. However I would definitely recommend staying here. We definitely would.

The room was beautiful, very nicely decorated and very, very clean, we loved the Balinese touches throughout the motel, the bamboo floors are exceptional. The Balinese area and pool are lovely areas to relax. The bed was super comfortable and we had a delightful night's sleep. Wonderful hot shower and the water pressure was fantastic. Very well equipped room with a fridge and coffee, tea and hot chocolate all provided. My wife really appreciated the full length mirror doors to the wardrobe, very nice touch. Also complimentary toiletries were very welcome. The manager and staff are super friendly and lovely people, they couldn't do enough for us to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The manager helped us locate a wonderful restaurant. In the morning when we were leaving one of the cleaners was so helpful in giving me a bucket and cloth to clean my windows on my car as we had some salt air stains on the windows from the sea breezes we were getting, so helpful. We can't sing the motel's praises enough and we will always stay there if we stop in Ballina again, which is a beautiful, very clean town.

Nothing, this is an exceptional motel and I'd have to say the best motel I've ever stayed in Australia. 10/10 A+

I was there for 6 nights and the room was never serviced. Even though in the information folder said it would be serviced every 3 days. On day 3 I had to request new towels. Nothing else was cleaned or replaced. Reception was never opened and you had to phone and leave a message.

This older style motel has been updated with a tropical feel to the room. The room was very spacious and had an impressive kitchenette (which we didn't use as we were only there overnight). The sachets of hot chocolate and shortbread biscuits were appreciated. The bathroom is a little dated, but clean and functional and the bed was comfortable. Our late check in was very well handled,

I arrived a little late as I was in transit, reception was lovely and greeted me after hours which was very kind. (and had already messaged me details for check in) My room was a great size, the bed was lovely and comfortable, all amenities were just what i needed and very clean. I also really like that my car was just outside my room, the motel was quiet and as a solo traveller I felt very safe. Whilst my stay was only a short one I would definitely stay again and recommend to perspective travellers. Thank-you for having me.

The only negative was the door lock was very hard to use, reception did give me another key but I still found it hard to open which did deter me from going for a walk as I was worried I may not be able to get in.

I’ve stayed here many times before & always a most wonderful stay. Thanks to Andre, Sebastian & all the crew for making me feel so welcome. The rooms are spacious, lots of kitchen utensils, the bathroom is updated, parking at the door, bed very comfortable & the rooms have a unique setting to them. My only choice of stay in Ballina.

I loved everything.

This was my third time staying at Ballina Palms and I hope it won’t be the last. The rooms are sensational with little features added to them. Andre and the team are great with attention to detail. Whenever I needed something either Andre or Sebastian were so quick to help. Wifi worked well. It’s close walk to the river and the ideal location. I was here for both work and holiday and it worked a treat for me. There’s a pool and seating area if people want to lounge around the motel. There’s a washer and dryer for a very small fee.

I liked everything.

We arrived late but had excellent check in instructions and let ourselves into a lovely room with space for the family to relax and a lovely vibe with the pool in the middle of the courtyard of rooms. We made use of the seating area in the evening to relax with a few drinks. While we only stayed for one night, we would have liked to have stayed longer and would certainly stay again. On check out we had some excellent recommendations made to us for our further road trip. Thanks for taking the time to help make our trip even better than planned.
